I am having a problem with the aft section of my fuselage matching the forward section. As you can see from the pic, there is a noticeable difference in the shading between the two. The colors(materials) are the same and I tried rejoining the two, but to no avail. Any suggestions to fix this problem?

*crawls out of the primordial goo* Hi, I'm the...newest newbie.:-)Anyway, I got FS2002 PE for one reason: I'm someone who could never figure out CAD or any sort of drawing software, has hordes of A/C designs in my head, and needed something to work them out (and test them, and get data on them...) with. (Did I mention I'm blind IRL, or at least half so? Yeah, FS is kinda my last hope.) It's just the way I am: If I can, I'm quite happy to lock myself down and fiddle with weird designs all day, without a hint of education or even half a clue.:-)So, I install FS. I then install gmax. After all, I remember people saying that was how you created flyable aircraft for this thing…

Hi all, I am looking at creating a Tiger moth for FU3. There are some fantastic Tigermoths developed for FS2K2 and I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is anywhere I may be able to find a GMAX model for the old girl. Unfortunately, I have tried converting .mdls without any success and therefore am looking for a "native" GMAX model to start from. Thanks in advance, QvdGPs to give you an idea of what can be done in terms of a/c for FU3 I invite you to look at the FU3 thread on the up coming GeeBee.

In this trim panel, I would like to add a slot for the trim lever inside the recess. The only way I know how to do it is to split the part and apply a texture to the top of the new surface. I would rather leave the part intact and just select the appropriate polygons and apply a texture to those only. My attempts to do this have not worked, although I think it can be done. Or is there another way? (FSDS2)Thanks,John Woodward

Hi all, When I repaint an aircraft, and load it into FS2002, the aircraft becomes all gray, showing none of my painting. On one repaint, the plane shows all black. What am I doing that is causing this? I could sure use someone's help in solving this. Thanks

I have been trying to fly Mike Stones' DHC4 Caribou - and have found it to have very "twitchy" trim . To the point where it is very difficult to fly as it is almost impossible to attain straight and level flight. One click of the trim button in either direction either sends the aircraft into a 1000 fpm dive or rise. I don't know anything about the real aircraft except that they can fly very slow and are not known to be "widow makers" - so I can't believe that this Sim flight characteristic is accurate.I have tried reducing the trim efficiency factor in the aircraft.cfg file but this seems to achieve nothing. Also, selecting 1 notch of flaps sends this aircraft into an imm…

Hey guys,I recently started weekend work at High Wycombe (Booker) Air Park in Buckinghamshire (England for the uninitiated!) and I am often able to take a good look at the various aircraft parked round and about. In the lunch break I can be found nosing about the hangar with a digital camera - so if anybody requires pictures of any GA planes, close-ups, gear retraction sequences, other 'animation' ideas and general photos such as side-on and front views I would be only too happy to supply them.I'm not sure about panels yet but I may be allowed a peek if I ask the pilot nicely. Bear in mind I can only get inside aircraft if there is a mechanic or a pilot about! Please send …

When I fly an aircraft that i modified the dynamics of, the indicated airspeed is very high (above normal), even though the mach number and ground speed is right on. How can I fix this? Example scenario: mach .800, IAS 330, FL330. This is a very high IAS.Thanks.

Hello all. Am looking for assistance in determining MOI characteristics for the .cfg file. What formulas or equations are used to help determine these numbers. The formulas in the SDK don't appear to be correct, especially when running the numbers on the stock aircraft, so I'm wondering if they're correct. I've done well in algebra in the past, so I'm certain that I'm using the equations correctly. Can anyone shed some new light on the subject for me?KevinBoise, Idaho

Hi folks, I normally post over at FS.com, but browse here too (not often enough though...had to sign-up again. )I'm having problems coding a radar altimeter gauge. I think I have the math correct, but something in my callback code throughs a warning in VC++5 during the build.
