Hi,I wonder how you can store a baro value and at a later moment use that same value see my code below. I have read FAQ 15 and 19 and I assume it is the same with the baro but how can you convert it to the k-scale before storing?BrgdsEugen%Push To Alter STD %(A:Kohlsman setting hg, inHg) 100 * flr 2991 != if{ (A:Kohlsman setting hg, inHg) (>L:Baro nr, enum) 16210 (>K:KOHLSMAN_SET, InHG) } els{ ( L:Baro nr, enum) (>K:KOHLSMAN_SET, InHG) }

Hi folks,I am currently working on a repaint in Iberia colors for the excellent 757 from iFDG (v2). It's almost done but I have two small problems.Please, see the picture below. I always see these (five) lines in the fuse, just like they cut it in five part. However, I have checked the five texture files and everything seems to be well.Furthermore, I have a more usual (with this model) problem with other textures, like the wings one and tail one (see the picture). They often (not always) do not load properly.I've downloaded other repaint for the same model and I could see the same happens with the lines but not with the tail.Tail texture is DXT3 and with alpha channel.Any…

Hi Everyone. I have a question about strange shadow effects on my model. I am using FSDS2 to build this aircraft and I am going to include opening doors, etc on it. What I did was cut the doors from the fuselage and then Copied the door, pasted it and moved the second copy a little towards the center of the fuselage. Then I joined the two doors and made "fill" polygons to give the door a thickness to it. I repeated this operation for the fuselage around the doors. Now after all is said and done and I have joined everything together and snapped it to scale I have strange shadows on and around the door. If I split the extra "fill" polygons away as a separate part the shadow…

My first repaint turned out very nicely: an Alitalia DC9 for Flight One's Iron Knuckles. However, I cannot figure out the alpha channel for reflections. Is it something that is part of the template, or do I have to create it? I can export an alpha channel (supposedly) to my Paintshop Pro from DXTbmp, but it is just featureless white. Also, in DXTbmp itself, no alpha channel is shown, which makes me wonder. Nothing I've read helps me so far.Also, there is a black rectangle in front of the nose wheel. I've looked at textures I have been playing with, and see nothing that would make that. Its not on other IC DC's I've seen, and I can't seem to get rid of the stupid th…

I have modified an old FS98 panel by Michael Verlin for the gMax Mitsubishi MU-2B and have repainted that aircraft with the author's blessing for FS2002. The outside textures are DXT3 32 bit. The problem is that when I load the aircraft in outside (spot view), the textures display properly. However, when you toggle through Cockpit view (Ctrl-S) and return to the exterior view, the texture shading is completely lost (bright, flat, solid colors, night and day). The panel functions properly and contains a number of FS2002 gauges and icons added or replacing some FS98 gauges. A default KingAir panel from FS2002 does not cause this exterior view texture problem. Must be …

Hello Helpers:I have some great XML freeware gauges that I want to use in my first attempt at panel building. The problem is that not all of them light up at night when the panel lighting is turned on. I know zero about XML programing. I'm using FS Panel Studio; therefore, I can open the coding, but this is as far as I can go. I'm reading the SDK and opening some other XML gauges that do light at night, but can really use some first hand help. Is there anyone that can offer help in this area? THX...Jan :-hmmm

How do I get the Carb Air Temp in an XML gauge? I think I know how to change the air temp with the "Eng1 Anti Ice" and "General Eng1 Anti Ice Pos" events. But does anyone know how to get or calc the air temp? Fred Banting did it the beaver but I need a gauge for eng2. I am working on a Caribou panel.Thanks for any help.

Hi,I am creating the artwork for an A320 panel and was wondering if anyone would like to tackle placing gauges. My thought is to use default or readily available freeware stuff.http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/4147.jpgThanks,Todd

Helo all,The air file ive been able to produce using the Flight model workbook for and A340-300 using the is just great (in it's beta status), except for one little problem that i've completely helpless to resolve.Here is an issue..An A340 with GW of 571,000 should rotate at 155 kts. In my case it completely refuses to do so, until about 175 kts.Now, could someone just point me in the right direction with this? Which records or maybe tables i should be looking at to fix this? Or why is the airplane doing this? One thing i can tell is that i used all the correct reference data and dimentions for controll surfaces. Except for maybe Roll vs Airspeed table data, and the airf…

Okay, I know what you're thinking, units are easy to work with. Well, I also know I've asked this before, but haven't had the results I've been expecting. I've been working on a Pilatus PC-9 aircraft for FS2002 in gMax and set my units in the preferences to 1 unit = 1 meter. Then I've set my unit setup dialog to meters. Then, I import my 3 view drawings which workout nicely. But, when I create a box that's w:10.17 l:10.12 h:3.29 meters, the box is tiny. And when I zoom in, my backgrounds are huge. I have them set to match viewport and lock zoom/pan. The background images themselves are cropped to the exact edge around the plane in each view and sized to 1 inch = 1 pixel. …

It appears now that I was a bit premature in announcing 'success' with the Auto Light Switch using Arne's wonderfully complicated L:local_sun_angle,number formula... as the 'other thread' was becoming rather long and unwieldy, I'm starting a new one... :)You see, according to the output, at KIND (Indianapolis), the transition points for night/dawn and dusk/night (the point at which the 'day floods' need to be controled occur at the following times and sun angles:May 4, 2003Night/Dawn 05:11 -30.1055Dusk/Night 20:12 33.2888"Spread" of 63.3943 degreesThis is "bad enough," since there is a huge "spread" between the morning and night "angles" that it…

I was wondering how I can install the apu sound in all of my airliners? Some have it and some don't. When I shut my engines down, I can hardly hear it. Maybe someone could help me with this so that is sounds more realistic. Also I have a panel that says "whoop whoop pull up" and "glidescope" even though I am coming in for a landing. I should get the 500, 400, 300 etc. as I am coming down. How would I install this on all of my airliner panels? The one that does that weird anomly is the A320 panel by Marco Spada or something like that.Thank You,

Hi, my name is Rafael Gomes, and lives in Brazil. I am one gottenpassionate pro FS and I produce some things in GMAX, as scenes. Butnow I would like to also invest in the area of construction ofairplanes. I was shaping an aircraft these days, I only made the bodyand the wings, but I had thousand of doubts, how much to make thewindows, to construct the part of inside of the aircraft, virtualpanel, flaps, ailerons, etc. Then I write this message for the peoplewho understand of construction of aircraft in the GMAX, and that theycan help me to finish with these doubts. The doubts follow below:- My first doubt is of as to construct the wing of the aircraft, stopslater being ab…
