if you think "scarebus", please, do not read this; for the other, here is my rendition of imho the most sophisticate single aisle to date. Alot of deatils and attention payed to the wing junction with wingbox.

I've seen this with DXTBMP....The only luck I've had is in saving the textures in 8-8-8 format....I'm still holdin' out hope you'll make the wing views virtual in this beautiful A/C.... Please keep the shots coming.... It's one aircraft I don't think I can tire of... And I hope you consider the Columbia as a future project. I've never seen anyone nail down the shape of a Lancair as well as you have...-JohnI should add, makes my Microloght release a bit embarrassing :)

The flaps extend to a maximum of 50 degrees, their axis of rotation being the bottom of those fairings. The smaller secondary which is above the larger primary flap actually moves like a slat, moving downward and rotating forward as the flaps extend. MD11's can retract their slats independently of the flaps, and the flaps themselves have about 17 different settings when you count the dial-a-flap function that the MD-11's flap selector lever has.

MakeMDL SDK makes mention of a part called DECAL_NNUMBER. Does this allow for the user to choose an tail number and if so, how do I set it up? Or is there another way? I did a search on the forum but came up dry. Thanks in advance for your help!Luhiss

HiI have done a radio height element in a pfd but it gets blury when using the rotate, see attatced picture, any ideas what you can do to avoid this blurryness.BrgdsEugen (A:Radio height, feet) 2500 <= (***** *****) %((P:Units of measure, enum) 2 == if{ (A:Radio height, meters) } els{ (A:Radio height, feet) } d 2500 <= )%{if}%(1 /)%!04d!0%{end}(A:Attitude indicator bank degrees, radians)

Hi, Leon;Love those Fleets!Leon, how dark is the alpha channel? I have the L-17 Navion, which seems to show the aircraft in a typical, weathered Army fishish, dull aluminum with different shadings on various panels. In that case, there would not be to much reflection, as weathered aluminum becomes matte over time. A light alpha channel would be appropriate here. For a shinier finish, a darker alpha channel would be needed. The amount of reflection is controled by the alpha channel, not the exterior color.By the way, isn't that Navion terrific?Best;telephile

I and two friends are beginning a freeware Sabreliner package for FS2002. The airplane will be designed in FSDS2 and will include at least a custom panel. We have detailed pictures taken of the airplane, inside and out. While we have experience with aircraft design and with panel bitmaps and compilation...we have no experience in gauge design. We are looking for a gauge programmer to participate in the project to create custom gauges for the aircraft. Any feedback, volunteers, etc, would be greatly appreciated. Keep the greasey side down!Brad

Is there any way to view and modify the contents of an aircraft's .air file? The situation is this: I added some of the Mooney Bravo's instrument panel switches to a panel that I am creating, and I find that the Boost Pump switch will not toggle. If I replace my .air file with the Bravo's .air file then the Boost Pump switch will toggled. So, I'm trying to figure out what it is about the Bravo's .air file that enables the Boost Pump Switch, and I am therefore looking for a way to understand and modify .air files.Any thoughts are appreciated,Robert

Hey all.Does anybody know if the newer Gauge Headers can be used? When looking at Gauges.h, I found this: #define GAUGE_HEADER_VERSION_FS610 610 // FS 6.10 gauges#define GAUGE_HEADER_VERSION_FSNEW 625 // OLD style gauges compiled in the FS70 TREE#define GAUGE_HEADER_VERSION_CFS1 650 // CFS1 Gauges#define GAUGE_HEADER_VERSION_FS700 700 // new FS7 gauges built after CFS1 is finalized#define GAUGE_HEADER_VERSION_CFS2 750 // gauges built after FS2000 shipped and before CFS2 shipped#define GAUGE_HEADER_VERSION_FS800 800 // FS2002 gauges I've only used version FS700 so far, making gauges for FS2002, for that is what MS and Dai had in their examp…

I would very much like to make my own virtual cockpits. From whati've read, it seems that FSDS2 is the way to go.But before i pay $49 i just wanted to make sure:Do i need any other (nonfree) software to make a virtual cockpit?$49 is almost to much in itself in my view!FSDS2 and GMax should be enough, am i correct?Thomas.

Hi everyone, I have had great success in using L: variables for controlling numerous things including gauge lighting and OMI dimming. The problem is this though: I can only make them using the bool method, i.e. there is only two positions like off and on, 0 and 1 respectively. What I have in my current project are some 3 position rocker switched. One of them for example is off, on and test. I am still very new to XML programming, and I was hoping that there would be someway that I could use the L: variable to have 3 settings, 0-2. For example, for a governer switch, there are other guages that will need to know whether it is on or off (0 or 1) and then a set…
