HelloSimple question for you experts but cannot find the answer anywhere. I am a bit of a novice to repainting and have tried to amend the paintscheme for my own use on a Project Airbus A320 using Paint Shop Pro 7. After formatting the texture using imagetool so that it appears right in PSP, when I reformat it it shows in Flightsim as shiny metal and doesn't show the painted texture. Can anyone help? Many thanksRossNottingham, England

Maybe this is old news for all of you but I found a baby picture on the default 747 EICAS. My XML knowledge is not good enough (it is near to 0) to see if there is any condition that could trigger this Easter egg to appear. Does anyone knows if there is one?ThanksJos

As I am sure you are last week Charles Dayhuff and James Campisi released a totally fantastic L1011 series 100 aircraft, in Delta Airlines (old) livery.Since then I have tried flying her many times, but noticed that as soon as you get to a cruising altitude (33,000 to 41,000) and cruising speed (m.77 - m.82) and using Auto Pilot the aircraft starts to pitch up and down - left to right in aggressive manor.I have tried using loads of panels to see if that

Hi, My name is Christos Christodoulides and I have a big problem with my repaints.I don't know if that had been said before. They do not accually shine as I want to.Below I give you an example of what I mean. It's one of my repaints in Eurocypria colours in comparison with the house colours of PSS. I believe it has to do something with the alpha channel but I am not sure.If someone could help me I'll be glad.Regards from the hot Cyprus,Christos

IF there is a way of doing this, please, share the knowledge ? I know, I know... you're thinking same as post by twnotter below.... methinks not as involved though. Thanks in advance,P.Z.L.P.S. Hello everyone, My name is Chris Wiedbusch. I am currently working on a project in g-max, specificly making a 767-300ER. I began recently on the nose and I am having alot of trouble. I started over on it at least 10 times cause it didn't come out the way I wanted it. This suprised me cause the tail went pretty well, and that basicly involves the same the to work with. I tried mirroring it and no mirroring it, but when I mirror it sometimes odd, wierd shaped holes come out when I'm done[yes, I do use plans in the backround [alt B]] Any suggestions on how to make a good nose of the plane [ from the door forward] would be appreciated.Chris WiedbuschAAL630

Hi,I would like to set the altitude to 100 feet in the autopilot when I start the aircraft.Is there another event than the K:AP_PANEL_ALTITUDE_SET which doesn't seem to work.BrgdsEugen (A:Autopilot altitude lock var, feet) 100 < if{ 100 (>K:AP_PANEL_ALTITUDE_SET) } (A:Autopilot altitude lock var, feet) 49000 > if{ 49000 (>AP_PANEL_ALTITUDE_SET ) }%((A:Autopilot altitude lock var, feet) 99999 min 0 max)%!05d!

I have an aircraft with counter-rotating engines/props (the left engine turns clockwise, the right turns counter-clockwise), this is specified in the aircraft.cfg and works as it should in FS2002. However, the 'backwards' rotating engine does not show proper indications on the MP and Tachometer. How do I edit the existing right tach to show proper indications? It is XML by the way and I have absolutely no programming knowledge. Is there a variable I need to add, change, etc, in the XML code? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Brad

I started this repaint many months ago, using PSP 7.0, lack of time had forced me to put it aside. I now would like to finish it but forgot how to make the colors transperant(in order to see rivets and skin joints, etc). The colors being used are orange, red and yellow(3 very dark colors). The next question that I have is how do you get the text to read correctly on both sides of fuselage, because the opposite side of fuselage is mirrored the text will also be mirrored. The last question that I have is how do you get plain white textures? What I mean by that is when you want to start a repaint, for example the landmark airlines 737, how do you removed the old textures s…

I have become fixated on trying to fix something. It has defeated me!The Falcon 50, by Yannick Lavigne, Fred Banting, Rob Young, has an overhead panel. Clicking on the switches causes a LOUD click sound. I am trying to find the sound it "Plays" so I can edit the volume. The overhead panel, with all it's switches, is just one gauge ( YLF50_Overhead ). I guess this gauge ask the simulator to play a sound each time a switch is clicked with the mouse. But, which sound does it play?!?I have been thru the FS2002 Sound folder and did find a click.wav and when played, sounds like the same click the Falcon uses. But, editing and even removing this sound from the folder does n…

Hi all,I downloaded the file 'ft757-200_british_airways.zip' which is a 757-200. It says there is a dynamic wing view. Does anyone know how I can switch to that view?I also have the Dreamfleet 737 which has a button in the cockpit to switch to wing views but since the 757 uses the standard FS cockpit there's no such button. Is there a key command to change to dynamic views? The view is not in the standard views. Thanks for your help.

Hello all,I've been developing gauges in XML for a couple of months now, and I seem to understand how to do much of what I want to do. However, there's this one nagging issue that I can't seem to resolve...I can't ever get the && operator to work. The gauge will end up not even displaying if I use that operator anywhere in it. Has anyone else had a problem here? All of the other operands work just fine. Is there something obvious that I'm missing? Here's an example of what I'm trying to do:(L:Power Available, bool) (A:Avionics Master Switch, bool) &&Can anyone help me understand why a line like this will work in the 747 gauges but will render mine useless?Th…

I added the line "use_no_default_bank=1" to the autopilot section of an aircraft.cfg file. Now, for some reason, when I select an autopilot mode the computer beeps. For example, if I select ALT or HDG it beeps. This is not the "autopilot disengaged" warning sound, it is a regular Windows warning beep. I've never heard this before in Flight Simulator.Any ideas what's going on?

The landing lights are there. You can see them around the props and shining on the ground, but when looking straight at them head on, you can't see them through the props. I have the props opacity set very low and the transparency of them looks really good. But there is something strange happening that isn't allow the landing lights to shine through. Can someone help? Thanks in advance.
