Hi,Please explain the following variables:...from the Parameters.doc in the FS2002 SDK:LIGHT LANDING...from the TokenVar.doc in the FS2002 SDK:LANDING_LIGHTS...from the EventIDs.doc in the FS2002 SDK:KEY_LANDING_LIGHTS_TOGGLEKEY_LANDING_LIGHT_UPKEY_LANDING_LIGHT_DOWNKEY_LANDING_LIGHT_LEFTKEY_LANDING_LIGHT_RIGHTKEY_LANDING_LIGHT_HOMEKEY_LANDING_LIGHTS_ONKEY_LANDING_LIGHTS_OFFKEY_LANDING_LIGHTS_SETIt seems that the "variables" only give an ON or OFF status, but the "KEY events" show much more can be done with the landing lights. Please explain what each of these do.Thanks,John

HiSorry this is not a great start I am using ver 1.1 I know I have to copy files from my FS2002 Pro Gmax folder and place them into the Gmax folders, as my export option was greyed out.I placed the plugins into the GMax plugin folder, this ungreyed the export, I then had problems with makemdl, so I copied the makemdl file into various folders in Gmax but I am still getting problemsWould somebody be good enough to outline which FS files should be in each Gmax folder, thank youDC

How do I setup my aircraft.cfg so that I can allow a user to select various paint schemes for one airplane but in addition to selecting different textures, also selecting a different 3D model (MDL file)? Thanks!

I am taking my first steps in vector gauges programming and it seems I got stuck already.Referring to the MS SDK FlightMap example :As I understand the dim variable in PIXPOINT dim = pelement->image_data.final->dim;is supposed to contain the gauge viewable area dimensions (width, height) in pixels. So the rectangle:Rectangle (hdc, 0, 0, dim.x, dim.y);should be a white line border around the gauge size. However this is not the case. When I compile and test the SDK!FlightMap on a panel this border is wrong. The height (dim.y) is double what it should be and the width (dim.x) is a bit less than the gauge width. Also the aircraft symbol is not at the center, and in gene…

I compile SDK and modify default Boeing 747 panel.[VCockpit01]size_mm=512,512pixel_size=512,512texture=$747_1background_color=0,0,0visible=0gauge00=Boeing747-400!Standby Altimeter, 0, 113, 111, 101gauge01=Boeing747-400!Standby Airspeed Indicator, 112, 114, 111, 110gauge02=Boeing747-400!Standby Attitude Indicator, 113, 1, 111, 111gauge03=SDK!FlightMap,6, 234.....But in FS,flightMap dose not display. So,is this means that the gauge made by GDI can't display in VC? Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction. regardsszm99

Is it possible to use a VC from one aircraft, and move it to another. If so, how would you do it?

Does anyone know which value is modified in an AI aircraft's .air file to change the taxiing turn radius? I have a problem with all PAI and UT B767s turning much too wide while taxiing and overshooting the turns. Taxi speeds are 23 straight line and 4 for both tight and wide turns, so speed is not a factor here. The B777s and other large aircraft all "turn on a dime", but the 767s turn much wider. I have used both the UT .air files and the PAI .air files and both result in the same wide turn radii.TIA for any suggestions or assistance!Doug3.06Ghz P4 533FSB512 MB RAMBUS RAMSony CPD-G410R 19" CRTRadeon 9700 Pro (Not O/C)SB Audigy 2120 GB ATA Ultra DriveMS Sidewinder Force F…

Here's what I want to do. Working on a panel where I have two views, the pilot's perspective, and the jump seat perspective. I want to switch between the two, but, for example, when I'm switching between the main (pilot's perspective) view and the jumpseat view, the first one remain on the screen. In other words, the second overlaps the first. How can I make the first one dissapear?Dave Vega

http://home.cfl.rr.com/mkaprocki/F16/Image5.jpgHere's a pic of the F-16 panel I'm working on. Uses vector gauges for the MFDs, which can be made dimmer or brighter. The radar shows actual AI traffic. It will also feature an authentic HSD. Check out this link to see a couple more previews.http://home.cfl.rr.com/mkaprocki/F16/Now, a question. Does anyone know if it is possible to dynamically move gauge elements? Like, using normal elements (ie, not vector gaues), is it possible to move a string or icon? Don't know of any way to do it, but thought I'd get your opinions.Matt

I am trying to get my plane up to 312 KIAS, but having some problems. If I have alot of torque, my plane bolts away with full brakes on, but with taxi-able horsepower, my plane will only do 245 KIAS approximately.Does anyone have any ideas? I have had the best luck with using the Beech Kingair 350 airfile template, going to a single engine. The Cessna Caravan file's front gear doesnt work and has several problems for some reason, or I would be using it. (My design has retractables where the 208 caravan does not, and the seaplane wont retract the nose gear). My plane is basically a Meridian layout, but with a cleaner aerodynamic fuselage and a bigger prop and liter co…

Hi group,Aug-24-02 Someone called Martin said:"Hi all,Here is my II/SP. Been working for a year on it, still have to do paint and flight dinamics so no release date yet... This is a learn-as-you-do project, so I think I'm still a couple of months away from releasing it.Martin "Any news about it? Also, some time ago someone was doing a King Air B200 Panel. Any news?ThanksSergio

When I apply any bitmap to a part of my model in gmax, it doesn't appear in the viewport. It fill the part in as solid gray. I have tried all moded in the viewports (shaded/faceted/smooth etc.) but none work.. This applies to any part of my model. I can see the texture OK in the material editor, the texture is a standard 256x256 size. I just cant work out why I cant see the damn thing. ( I even tried changing the driver setting in preferences to copy with 512 textures).. Any ideas??

Hello! My question is related to the newly-released FFX B737 classic series aircraft. These aircraft are wonderful and nice to fly, but I noticed that they lack a center tank, which is present in the real aircraft. Now if I would add that center tank for myself, would this also change the flight dynamics of the aircraft? Of course I would adjust the size of the wing tanks accordingly.Yours,Martin Georg/EDDFVACC-SAG PR & Events Coordinator *** mailto:[email protected]://images.vacc-sag.org/convention6.jpg

FSConnect is an addon module for FS2002 (and FS2004 when it becomes available) that allows third party programs to obtain data regarding the user aircraft in FS. It also has limited ability to "write" into the sim (currently only latitude and longitude). It also has some "snoop" functions that let you read from, write to, or search the flight simulator address space.I'm looking for beta testers : either developers or non-developers. For the non-developers, I've put together a little demo program that simply reads a few data elements from the sim and displays them in a window. You just have to verify the output is correct and let me know if things work ok or not. For de…
