Hello fellow simmers,My system is as follows P4 2.4 533FSB, Soyo 4XAGP MB, Radeon 9500 128mb, PC 2700 512mb, 160G HD.On anticipation of the release of FS 2004, and the new PMDG 737NG.Buy 737NG!!:) I'm looking at up grading the video card to the Radeon 9800 pro 256mb or 9800 pro 128mb. What should the differences be with regard to FS. The price gap is widening 128mb can be bought for as low as $280, while the 256 is dropping to $475. Also I only have 4X AGP, I have heard 4 X is same as 8X is this true or should I get an ASUS MB with 8X AGP.Should I upgrad to 1gig ram?Any advice would be appreciatedRegards,BillyBooob

Hello to all: I am building a real panel hardware of an autopilot of a 747-200. This panel has a selection of "IAS HOLD" that maintains the airspeed "IAS" constant, varying the RATE of CLIMB to maintain the IAS constant. This is made to constant thrust power of the engines. I was proving with the variable of the FSUIPC $3460 but I don't achieve him to work. Can somebody help me???. Thanks.Jose

Hi, is there a freeware program that would allow me to install a new guage (auto land gauge) to my aircraft. I tried using the FS2k2 aircraft editor and it keeps bombing out when I select the panel folder in any of my aircraft files. I do have addit pro but it appears that I can only add a new guage if I register the shareware program. Thanks, Tim.

Hello everyone... I am a rookie aircraft designer...I'm making a Spitfire Mk.22 for FS2002/CFS2/CFS3. Now I'm in the stage of applying the textures in GMAX...I've done the fin and rear wings and to my surprise (and utter horror) I discovered that MakeMDL can no longer convert my Spitfire to a correct .X file...I thought it was just MakeMDL not working eright, but then I tried exporting ym Lancaster and it worked fine straight away...any ideas as to which could be causing this? Thanks for any help in advance. ;D

Hi There...Have been reading up on making sound file attachments for .xml gauges and am becoming aware that I will need gauge file: "WHM-kevents.gau" in order for it to happen. I've search the file library and cannot find it and even tried a link provided in another post. If anyone could point me in the right direction to find it, I'd appreciate that very much.Regards,Kevin Sparkuhl

Hey guys... I have been chatting with a payware FS developer recently helping him decide what his next project should be. My suggestion was to do a corporate jet, perhaps a Gulfstream V with a full FMC. He is concerned that many flight simmers wouldn't fly the Gulfstream V because it is corporate and many people favor the commercial airliners. He thinks that flight simmers would favor perhaps a DC-10 with a INS unit. So here are the two parts to the survey:1.) What would you rather see developed? A Gulfstream V or some sort of corporate jet... OR a DC-10 or commercial airliner? The price will probably be around $15, but the package will contain an aircraft model, accur…

As I understand it, 60,000 polygons is the limit for each type of model FS can render (exterior model, interior model, etc). I have seen some aircraft that advertise, as part of their features, 50-60,000 face models. Now I have a pretty powerful machine, but I know I am in the minority here, and not all of us have the machine to support such a model. When you include AI, textures, the new weather engine that FS2004 includes, it seems like conserving polygons in aircraft models has become even more important. I'm just curious what people think about this, since I do not think that having a model with 60,000 polys is something to brag about. Especially if your work precludes…

Is it a very common thing for a person to get an export error after doing boolean operations? I got one on a test model I made just for boolean operations. I used the Cut & Refine method.

Hello,My Name is Joseph Thompson, webmaster/founder of FSAR "Flight Simulator Air Racing". FSAR has been offline for a long amount of time. Hi,I would like to make a gauge, it would need the following, any idea how I can go about making it?.1) It would be a "phantom" gauge i.e. It would not show anything visually.2) It would be used to monitor various engine functions i.e. RPM, cylinder head temp, oil temp and pressure3) From these readings it will effect the engine in a realistic way, so if you thrash the engine it will give up.4) Ideally it would be configable, for various planes.AFG have a similar function on their YS-11, where the engines cut out if you overheat them, I would like to have more functions available to more aircraft. Thanks in advanceDan

  17. Hi!I am not happy with aircraft.cfg file of the FSPainter A320 aircraft. Now, can I change this cfg file with the one that comes with Project Aitbus A320? Will then aircraft work as good as did with the old aircraft.cfg?Regards, Nejc

I am currently working on a project that calls for a panel which can receive messages from an external source and display them. If anyone has seen code for a textbox-like gauge or has any idea how to approach a device like this I would greatly appreciate if you contacted me at [email protected]

I'm a bit stalled on my 170 project. Without a decent panel I am unable to do a VC. I've tinkered a bit with an old 190 panel and got something flyable, but not great. Any takers or contacts would be greatly appreciated.
