I'm wanting to repaint the default Cessna 172 in FS2k2 into our VA colors. I'm looking for a blank template to start with. Is there just a plain white repaint (with rivets/panels etc) that I can start with?Anyone know?ThanksPieter

i have built and have been flying an aircraft for about a year in fs2002/02 and with an amd 1.1 ghz system with win 98...when i tried to move up to win xp i am now getting a really unusal failure mode. after 10-11 mins of flying time the system hangs up. the gauges were initially compiled with a borland c++ (ver 5.X ??) compiler using the updates as provided by bartles and griffiths without any errors. as this failure mode has happened consistantly on a number of independent systems with similar capabilities and using just a single guage(with out the gauge, i.e panels only, it flies great) i can only assume that it is my code that is problematic......any thoughts

I figure this would be a good place to post my problem. Here goes:Designed a plane, looks great, flies great. I want her to hit Mach 3, but she won't. She stops accelerating at exactly Mach 2.25, no matter how may pounds of thrust I give her in the .cfg file. It's like she hits a brick wall. I've been doing my research and I noticed that sections 1502 to 1504 of AirEd have to do with Mach speed at altitude so I changed them out for another plane. No difference. How do I get her up faster? Thanks!

Now here is a question to all of you who has been tinkering with lighting and smoke effects in the aicraft.cfg fileThe FS2002 as the FS2004 both allow for maximum of the 8 light sources.. Now has anyone got any idea if this could be overrided? For example if wanted to have 10 of them on at the same time.. is it possible? and if it is how? Also light types.... I know the basic ones, like 1 is beacons, 5 is landing etc... what about the others? Like taxi light or logo, or wing scan does anyone know what are those numbers? And the last question, is does anyone know a good manual about the editing the fx files, the oficial sdk is just not that good in explaining that.Cheers

Look in Flightsim.com under FS2004 forum and you'll find it. ATI cards flicker when using the Alt key and All the kneeboards and text is unreadable. Sounds really bad and the newest drivers still don't fix it .Can someone here post their results with FS2004 maybe just some isolated [email protected]

Having had a fascination with flight simulators ever since I first played with a simple simulator on a Sinclair ZX81, I have always wanted to go that extra step to realism (You do get utterly hooked on realism over time, especially if you have flown for real!!!!)With the latest incarnation of MS Fight simulator, you can get pretty close (barring the odd glitch!) You can now run multiple screens on a pc, ie have 2 for outside views, and 2 for instrument views. Using part of the MSFS SDK you can use netpipes.exe and run multiple pcs per flight in real time across a LAN, and hence have more than 4 monitors hooked up to give a very real view inside and out of the cockpit. Add…

Folks, I'm interested in modifying a flight model to create a 'fly-by-wire' effect, meaning that wherever i direct the airplane with the joystick, once i return the stick to the centered position the airplane will hold the exact pitch and roll angles that i inputted. Not sure if this is possible since I've tried so many fly-by-wire aircraft in FS, and hardly any of them have exhibited such characteristics. Anyone know if/how this could be done?Ryan

  19. Hello there...XML gauge designer wanted for collaborative efforts on FS2004 panels. My name is Kevin Sparkuhl and I'm interested in doing a series of Boeing panels for FS2004. My strengths are admittedly of the artistic nature and I have very limited experience working with XML code. It is my intention to provide quality Boeing panels that have realistic working features and that look like the real thing. I've done okay with my first release. It's a Boeing 737 Next Generation panel, file name ng737ks.zip, and it has almost 5 thousand downloads in it's first week between both sites. I've received many emails this past week thanking me for the detailed bitmaps and featu…

Spent pretty much the entire day either trying to make the texture for the blurred prop blade effect or looking on the net for a how-to. I could probably figure out how to use a texture done by someone else, but that would not teach me how to do it myself. Anyone know if there is a tutorial on creating the prop texture using psp7? I'm ok on the circle part, I need the blade effect for the prop_blurred part.Robert

Hi All,Just a simple question. Is it possible to scan the position of a K: variable? For example: I have a switch in which one of the functions is (>K:TOGGLE_HYDRAULIC_FAILURE). In another function I have to check if there is a hydraulic failure or not (not if the switch is pressed or not). Unfortunately I found no A: variable for the hydraulic failure. Is it possible to scan:(K:TOGGLE_HYDRAULIC_FAILURE) 1 == if{ ......} ?I don't think so as there is no boolean variable in the K: variable to check. But how could this be done? Or does anybody know an A: variable for checking the hydralic failure? (A:Eng1 Hydraulic Pressure) is not possible as the checking should be done…
