hi all, how can i change the bank angle say from 25 to 15 degrees on my cockpits when on autopilot , except for a couple of cockpits [flight one 737 pss 747] the switch for this is simulated on the dashes but you only get one bank angle ,thanks for any help ,regards:)

When do you think we will have something like this in our sim? By "this" I mean self-illuminating gauges.The first pic shows the VC as appeared in the sim. The second was edited in photoshop to show what the effect should look like. Hi All,I read about this subject very often here in the forum but couldn't find an easy description of how to integrate or overlay a transparent bitmap (alpha channel bitmap). What I want to do is to realize a typical glass reflection on a gauge (no vector gauge!). It's no problem with simple gauges like N1 or something as here I could paint a normal bitmap on the scale. But this is not possible with an altitude or a rolling number gauge for example. Did someone know a way to realize this and could post a description of how to do it and maybe a link to a tool which I need for it? Would be great.Best RegardsMatthias

Been away for many months and just reinstalled FS9. Can't remember what to change to make the wing tip lights visable from the barron cockpit. Did a search but no luck. If someone could tell me again how to do it would be appreciated!!!!Thanks!!

Hi,I am making the FDE for an old 30's 4 engine floatplane, and ran into a problem. I hope someone has an idea?The settings are right, weights, propellors, engines, fuel etc.Flies like a dream, lands perfectly, all ok!But, a takeoff in the MS glue water remains a problem.At full power, and MTOW, nothing happens, she wont move an inch. It seems that there is a HELPID_GAUGE_TOGGLE_CHECKLIST_WINDOW available, but there is no corresponding KEY_event for the darn checklist!Why would MS have a HELPID for something but not supply the command to make it work? :(I wanted to ditch XML altogether and build the simicons totally in C, but now I'm stuck...Does anyone have a solution?

Hi,After adding the Mirror Modifier to an object in GMAX it sometimes appears on a 45* angle. This does not always happen when i add the Mirror part, but when it does i find it impossible to re-align the object!I've tried moving the pivot point and align to world, align to object, but it doesn't help.Also, sometimes when i'm adjusting (rotating) an objects pivot point, the object moves along with it (and yes, i have selected "Affect Pivot Only"). Have a returned vaule 0 to about 1300 (SDK says 0 to 256) Trying to light up some colored bars based on the value returned. FSDS2.4 & fs9I want to use a timer function in an XML gauge to delay the apperance of bitmaps on the gauge.I have got the gauge working as I want using the 'spoilers' token variable and setting the time in the aircraft.cfg file.However inadvertant use of the / key upsets the sequencing.I note the 'TICK18' token variable in the fs9 SDK, used for "general purpose timing", but I have not been able to get it to work.Does anyone know the syntax to use TICK18 please?Regards Ted

I need help making a spinning prop show in the VC. So far I have tried several combinations such as:1. A disc with a transparent texture. The disc is visible all the time but there is no illusion of motion. It is also too dark.2. A disc with one of the default prop textures. At low speed the individual stripes in the texture are visible. At full speed nothing shows.3. Segments of a disc with a transparent texture. At low speed you can see the segments rotating when they should be blurred.I am using FSDS2 with the prop_blurred animation. The still prop and slow prop work ok in the VC.What have I missed?Thanks,John Woodward

Hi ya folks, I'll jump right into it here. I have done a few repaints, air cfg mods, panel mods, etc...It has been a real adventure getting the knowledge I do have about how things work in FS and for that matter a half a dozen utilities also. There is a certain Beech F90 at a nearby airport that I can get all kinds of pictures of inside and out. I really want to do a complete model of this plane from ground up. I have gmax and I believe all the rest of the software I need to end up with a really great aircraft at the end. I know how to build the outside model of the aircraft in gmax, not sure about VC though. Could someone point me in the direction of a tutorial on buil…

In my HELIHUD (Heads Up Display for choppers), I want to add a string text message that, when the helicopter is in the hover, it tells the helicopter pilot when the helicopter is turning left or right, thus requiring pedal input to counteract the turn.So my thoughts on this have been to use the (A:Plane heading degrees gyro, radians) variable. Cool, easy. Problem is, since that variable is constantly changing with heading, how do I compare it to itself to determine if the chopper is turning left or right?I was thinking along the lines of adding a small time delay and comparing the new heading to the last heading and seeing if that would work, but I have no idea how to do …

Can somebody please enlighten me about what might be causing the following problem and how I might correct it ...I have an old Dreamfleet Cessna 172SP panel I am trying to use in FS2004. It mostly functions okay except for the fact that the two 2D panel bitmaps both show up bright red in the sim regardless of the aircraft's interior light settings. The gauges are all colored okay (and they seem to function okay as well - with a couple of minor exceptions) In addition, there is an overlaid yoke bitmap and it too is colored normally. When viewed outside of the sim, however, the two panel bitmaps in question display normally in Windows XP. These bitmaps are both 1024 x 76…

To save anyone a LOT of trouble, should they like to use the new, Time of Day variable in the makemdl.parts.xml file, here is some working code:..........day_time............................................(E:TIME OF DAY, enum)..............................1.............This adds the ability to display stuff only during the daytime, such as pilot's sunglasses, etc. :)

Hello,I'm developing an aircraft (BAe ATP - turbo propeller) and trying to put an auto throttle in it but do not work well, there are many oscilations in the throttle until it stabilize.I try, with some success, work around in aircraft.cfg, autopilot section, changing the value of autothrottle_max_rpm=???.Have you any better idea?By the way, I can't put the logo lights working in the model, they light but I can not see what it iluminate.Thanks.Best regards,Peyroteo

Hey,I use the MelJet B777 for UAL livery. I installed it, everything says it should work well using FS2k4, but when I go to virtual cockpit view, I see .... nothing. The cabin, toilet, everything is behind me, but no cockpit. Also, I am wondering how to navigate the cabin. On second point, would anyone recommend changing the Panel for the 767 / any of the other aircraft to good panels on this site?Also, how can I port over the VC from the 737-400 to my 737-300 / 737-500, so I have VC on that.I think half the problem might lie in the files. When I go to textures, it shows a bunch of BMPS with no thumbnails. I try to open them, but it says Drawing Failed. Hmmm.Thanks,AJ
