Hi:Has any one made an gauge in XML, like the one that Tinmouse has for the landing lights?I mean that the inboard light swith toggles the landing lights, and the outboard landing light toggles the tailhook, and if the landing light were not on, that also toggles them on?If not what should i take in consideration to try to make it, I am totally new on gauge programing.Thanks a lot for your helpHelio Alberto Regalado Moreira

I just got the Iron Knuckles DC-9 package from Flight1 and am "upgrading" the panel so it is more realistic. I'm refitting two gauges so that it is more like a DC-9 cockpit you'd find today and not in 1960. I have already added Lee Hetherington's TCAS to the panel replacing the old VSI unit, now I need some kind of navigation tool.What do you guys recommend putting in? I'd like to replace the default FS9 GPS which is currently in the panel with something else. I have tried the ACS-GPS but don't really like the gauge since it will not operate if you hide the GPS gauge itself. I originally put the GPS in its own "window" so I could hide it when not needed. I suppose I…

Hi Folks. I promised a few folks in another forum I would pop by here and ask the experts for help. Several of us who own both the Aeroworx Beech 200 aircraft and the FS Passengers add-on have a gauge programming question:FSPassengers requires the pilot to turn on and off the Fasten Seat Belt (FSB) sign at appropriate times and penalizes pilots who forget. The FSB sign can be toggled using a keyboard shortcut but FS Passengers also supplies a .gau file that can be added to any panel. Trouble is the .gau is a pretty crudely rendered backlit button that looks completely out of place on the beautiful panel of the B200, which uses switches for lights etc. AND the Beech 2…

Hi I am tryng to map in GAMX 1.2 a fuselage but I get stuck on the method .because in FS it show only one of the uvw map applied to my fuse.My fuselage it's one mesh polygon, I created one texture one for the left and one for the right of 1024*1024 I see the wireframe to fit the mesh .I create a multimaterial with 4 ID and put on slot the left texture and the right texture.The id 1 and 3 are left texture and ID 2 and 4 right textureI start working on using mesh select and selecting a portin of polygon, let's say Left front, with selected polygon I chose UVWmap and fit the gizmo portion with my texture and give the correspond ID on mesh select.I use the same method the ba…

:Hello: Hello ! I'm new (and french...). I try to make some wing views on the b737-400 panel of MS. Once FS9 started, all is ok exept that I don't see the Wings. Is the problem concern the fact that the aircraft is default aircraft of FS2004 ?

have been building a panel for an aircraft, not of my making.have been thinking that the kick from augmentation was not what it should be. i made a test gauge to look at (A:TURB ENG1 JET THRUST, number) and was horrified to find that toggleing the after burners had no noticable effect. there should be a 20% or greater increase in thrust.i know that rpm is only indirectly related to post turbine augmentaion through the increased airflow, from speed. i am seeking confermation that turb eng1 jet thrust is the right tree to bark at, and seeking insight to what i might need to tweek in the airfile or aircraft cfg.i have looked at several airfiles to compare, but they ae all ve…

G'day AllI am currently on a mission with the Vitual RAAF (www.virtualraaf.com) to create a guage/panel for Advanced Simulated Radar Client used on Vatsim so that it can be embedded into a panel. What we plan to do is run FSNET and FSCOPILOT from "gates.to" to have more then one person controlling the aircraft. The Pilot not in control will be in charge of ASRC and we want him to have his own panel with ASRC embedded. This way we can simulate the operations of the 737 Wedgetail.How would i go about constructing this gauge/panel? and/or can anyone point me in the right direction in who i should talk to in regards to this?CheersAndrew

GuysI have been working on helicopter systems for quite some time, to which I posted this at Hovercontrol.: http://69.44.154.34/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard....t=ST&f=1&t=5368It seems to me that the RRPM (Rotor Speed) of a helicopter is directly influenced by the FPS, making it very difficult to program accurate system parameters if the RRPM (NR) is changed when FPS changes. Have you guys run across similar problems in your work, and if so how did you get around it?Steve

I am trying to make a Ruddder Trim Switch. The problem I have is that when I click the switch to the left or right the switch does not move, Then if I repeatily click then the switch move to the right or left then disappears. What I want it to do is go to the right or left when you click then go back to the center position when I have stopped clicking.This is the code I am using(A:Rudder trim, degrees)Rudder Trim(K:RUDDER_TRIM_LEFT) -1 != if{ (A:Rudder trim, degrees) 1 - (> K:RUDDER_TRIM_RIGHT) }(K:RUDDER_TRIM_LEFT) 1 != if{ (A:Rudder trim, degrees) 1 + (> K:RUDDER_TRIM_RIGHT) }

Would someone be kind enough to explain what FS zulu time is based on?. I see no correlation between the zulu 24-hour value, my system clock, or anything else. It certainly is not calculating actual GMT based on my time zone and system clock.Glenn

Hi,I've downloaded the EuroWings ATR72-500, installed without problem but I noticed that at max throttle the torque value doesn't get over 80% with the power management set to TO (take off) while prop rotation is 100%.With another panel I tried, the torque value during the take off always got over 100% (around 115-120%) giving a good climb speed and taking the aircraft at max speed when levelled.Unfortunately this panel had some problems so I restored the original one but torque, as wrote above, doesn't get over 80% so the aircraft speed levelled at 4000ft reaches only 260/270 knots at max.How can I do to let the engine running at max torque (or even overtorque during the…

Hi,I've put Rob Barendregt's Taxispeed gauge into the Flight 1 PA28 Archer. The problem is that the gauge does not control the throttle of the Archer properly, and does not provide enough thrust to move the plane at anything more that 1-2 kts.I know the gauge is good because I've used it in the default Cessna, the Baron, and several other planes.Has anyone else tried to use this gauge, and can the XML be tweaked to get it working with the Archer?

This is an interesting thread, one in which I hope doesn't get removed for the weird request I am making.Upon the completion of my Sanderson Field/Tacoma Narrows Bridge/Mount St. Helens rerelease scenery projects, I am going to continue scenery development and branch out into developing driveable vehicles for FS, and perhaps a few versions of the JetRanger that aren't currently available.My first conquest will be an unusual one - a school bus that's totally driveable. The type of bus I am developing is a Gillig, a bus that was produced from the beginning of the 1900s until 1980 (The Gillig Corporation still builds buses to this day. School bus production stopped in 1981 a…

Hi All,Is there a way to readout the current propeller pitch angle (for a turboprop) with a XML gauge? I've tried:%((A:Prop Beta, number))%!03.1f!but this text shows always 0.0. For programming correct working turboprop levers (power and condition) it's important to know the current pitch. Unfortunately I didn't find a way. Hope someone could help.Best RegardsMatthias

I am a very beginner with panels, although I do play around adding gauges, either manualy or with FS Panel studio.My question is very simple. I am adding a HUD to my PMDG 738, and although I have managed to put it in position, it gets covered by the main panel background. So, how can I make it appear in front of the main panel?Here is the windows line + a pic[Window03]Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=1024,768position=1visible=0ident=HGSrender_3d_window=1window_size= 1.000, 1.000window_pos= 0.000, 0.000gauge00=jg_hgsa!jg_hgs, 85,-28,848,948Thanks,Leo

I am trying to write a guage that displays a different bitmap depending on certain combinations of spoiler and flap handle positions. I think I am using the If statement incorrectly but cannot find a good example of a nested if statement. Perhaps there is a better way.Any insight would help.- Chris (A:SPOILERS LEFT POSITION, percent) 1 >=; (A:FLAPS HANDLE INDEX, enum) 4 > && if{ 3 (>L:SpeedBrakeCond, number) } (A:SPOILERS LEFT POSITION, percent) 1 >=; (A:FLAPS HANDLE INDEX, enum) 4 <=; && if{ 2 (>L:SpeedBrakeCond, number) } (A:SPOILERS LEFT POSITION, percent) 1 >=; (A:FLAPS HANDLE INDEX, enum) …
