    I'm not a modeler but I'd like to be able to adjust the flight characteristics in the aircraft.cfg. Some of the stuff in there is pretty cryptic. Is there anywhere one can find info on what some of these things do when changed and how to change them?I have a couple of planes that I'd like to adjust the flight attitude on. They both will go nose down as soon as you turn autopilot off and have trim at zero. In order to fly level you need to set trim to maximum up, I'm not a pilot but I don't think that's right. I've tried loading up the tail with baggage but that has no effect.I've searched most of the places I know looking for info on editing the flight dynamics in FS9 but…

    can anybody give me an example of what steps need to be followed for MS VC++ to allow gdiplus.h to be included? I get compile errors complaining about elements in gdiplus.h (first error is on a line that says "namespace Gdiplus", even though I have included windows.h before it. Are there other includes that are required besides these two? My gauge works and compiles fine, but I'm now starting to look into using GDI+ for some of the drawing, and I can't get past this most simple step!

    With throttles at idle I have found that a certain aircraft (Concorde) when low on fuel (say 20 percent) after a flight slowly edges forward. I assume this is caused by a combination of the thrust of the engines against the weight of the aircraft which with a low amount of fuel is less (hope I explained that bit right). Is there either a way of increasing the effectiveness of the PARKING brakes or something else that might work around this problem.I can confirm that it is not the calibration of the throttle I have tried it out both with and without joystick enabled.Andrew BrownACPChttp://www.gordiusfs.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

    Hello all,Thanks to Pike & Co, this forum is one of the most productive about msfs, on the net.Now, our neighbours, I wish I could call them friends, but the old iron curtain became a lenguage barrier, and apparently they are happy on the other side.Nevertheless they make extraordinary aircrafts : PT Team TU154, IL62, TU134, AN-225, AN-24 and many others. Those aircrafts are expanding the FS domain to new navigation tecnologies, funny looking instruments and much more, they really push the ballon UP, FAST and Farther.BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT.They…

    Hi all Is it possible to store currently selected autopilot switch settings (hdg on, nav on, app on, alt on, etc) for use again after autopilot master is turned off then turned on. This would only function with the CWS switch on.

    based on calculation #3 from this page:http://wahiduddin.net/calc/density_altitude.htmI have the xml for a rough density altitude calculation, if anyone needs one: (A:AMBIENT PRESSURE,millibars) 100 * (>L:pascals,enum) (A:AMBIENT TEMPERATURE,celsius) 273.15 + 287 * (>L:kelvintemp,enum) (L:pascals,enum) (L:kelvintemp,enum) / (>L:calculatedDA,enum) Where: (L:calculatedDA,enum) will give density altitude in kg/m3Steve

    I've searched through several forums to see if I could find an answer to this, but I'm not having any luck. When I use the MAKE_STRING macro to dislay a string on a gauge, the resulting string's characters are equally spaced as if the font was one of the proportional fonts like Courier, however, the font is Arial, clearly a non-proportional font. I haven't had any luck using the fontsize parameter -- using it seems to make the string disappear completely, but I'm not sure if that's the right way to accomplish a prettier display of text. Is there some secret to the parameters to make text show up using the font's native character spacing instead of the ugly way text sho…

    I noticed that under some circumstances, aircraft (and helicopters) in FS9 can develop a strange behaviour that seems to violate basic physics laws.I managed to achieve it on RealAir SF260, default Bell206 and Dodosim Bell206.Basically, when the SF260 is in a very unusual part of the envelope (very low speed, high angular velocity around more than one axis, and subsequent very high AoA), it starts to exhibit a very strange flight path, with very sudden and sharp changes of direction (sort of a Brownian motion), with extended periods of climbing in very unusual attitudes. This can further develop in an unsteady but continuously climbing path, with high angular velocities …

    Hello,In FS9 I like to fly the default 737 and at first I thought I had the lights light up when the reverse thrust was engaged and anti-ice was on but I down loaded some other stuff and it no longer works. Not sure on the de-ice lights, if they were there or not but sure the reverse was. I removed the gauges file and reloaded FS9 but no luck. Thanks for your help.Scot

    I think I saw some posts about the EPR management in FS. Now I would like to know if the EPR information provided by FS is reliable or not. Can I use it to drive the engines as in a real aircraft?Thanks.Eric

    Greetings.I would like to know if someone has the time to make a few changes to Rick Sasala's A-6 intruder model. In the past I tried to get in touch with him to discuss some changes that would make the model more true to life. I am looking to fix some flight control problems such as the wing-tip speed brakes serving as ailerons. I would appreciate the help.Many Thanx, Christopher Raison.

I have been reading the Panels SDK, but I have not had success. Can anyone enlighten me?Thanks!Robert

    Hi all,So I make a plane in gmax, export it, and it's working smoothly. One thing, no 3D wing view from in plane. So, with this in mind, how do I do it?I understand the grouping of making object interior and exterior, but if I group the wings as interior, will they still show exterior as well?Is there a tutorial or easy step guide to doing this?

    I have an incomplete and buggy application to convert expresions from normal (infix) notation to reverse polish notation (RPN) needed for XML gauges. As an example, it converts:if{ ( A > B ) && ( C < D ) } ( X + 2 * Y ) toA B > C D :(becomes a b maxEDITIt also replaces '>' with '& gt ;', '<' with '& lt ;', and '&' with '& amp ;' (without the spaces) but the forum changes them back!
