Hi, I'll try just one more time.:-) I want to activate the LOC so the aircraft locks on to the localiser only. I see the key eventsAP_LOC_HOLDAP_LOC_HOLD_OFFAP_LOC_HOLD_ONbut these appear to activate the G/S as well. In the default 747, MS use AP_BC_HOLD, but the aircraft turns through 180

Hi folksI've had this Saab Safari panel and mod coming for a long time, trying to get a grasp of airfile editing. While I've come a long way, I am newbie-stuck, wondering if the current file is all for nothing?!****Correct stallspeed in landing config (I've been in contact with a Safari owner and operator) is 51, yet with my airfile its about 30 kts.. Will I have to start over, drop the custom airfile (and bmp kneeboard) or can YOU help me, knightly avsim developer :)*****Here is the airfile so far, the last good one before purely unfruitful experimentation took over:www.aviology.dk/Saab_Safari_MFI-15.airApart from that, it is close to the numbers, and flies smoothly.Try …

When compling this gauge fromn the SDK, I get a compile time error "Undefined symbol 'helpid'" in the line that expands the MOUSE_CHILD_FUNCT:MOUSE_CHILD_FUNCT (MAP_LEFT_BORDER, MAP_TOP_BORDER, 230, 259, CURSOR_HAND, MOUSE_LEFTSINGLE, AddNewWaypoint)I think this may be because of the line but one preceding it:MOUSE_BEGIN( flightmap_rect, HELP_NONE, 0, 0 )HELP_NONE is the Help_ID of the ToolTip text to display but I can't find it in the HelpID document. What should be used there when a ToolTip isn't wanted? 0 and NULL still give the error.EDITI've now found HELP_NONE is defined as 0 in gauges.h!

I was wondering if there was a cold start gauge out there. I realized lately that it is so rewarding to completely start my plane on my own. The problem is, I dont want to set it cold and save because sometimes I like to just hop in the plane and go, and having to start up could be a PITA. So I want a gauge that allows me to just click a button and have it shut down the plane to a cold and dark situation. If there isnt one availiable, I could try and make one, but I have no experience in programming or XML coding nor do I have any Idea where to start learningAny help would be appreciated!

Sorry if this has been discussed previously; I've not surfed the forum for awhile. Are there any folks out there who've purchased FSDS 3? I have version 2.24 and am quite happy with it. The Abacus website really does not offer much detail re: what the new version offers over 2.24. :-hmmm Is it just a few tweaks, or significant new capabilies?Any recommendations either way would be much appreciated!!

Forgive me for asking this as I'm new to this forum. I presently own a 2004 Cessna 182T with a G1000 and weather. I was trying to replicate this and can find nothing on either my paint scheme or the G1000. My color scheme is only one of two schemes available in '04 and the G1000 is the ONLY avionics available since '04. Is someone working on the G1000 and it hasn't been released yet? Once you've flown the glass cockpit, it's very difficult to go back to the "steam gauges". I've enclosed a pic of my plane to see if you can help. BTW, we have a G1000 simulator that is given with each plane that has all the panel on it. Could that be implemented into the sim aircraft…

Hi,I'm currently flying the Robin Dr400 by Yannick Lavigne et al. Generally it flies great, seems close enough to the real thing too, except for being slightly on the slow side for a cruise-prop Dr400-Regent (It should do 250km/h at 2500rpm in 3000ft). Now, to make it close to the Dr400-200i Remo I know in real life, I started changing a few things. The Dr400-200i has a Constant Speed prop, not a fixed pitch prop like the original Dr400-180. No matter what I do, I can't get a CS prop to work on that model, though. I changed propeller type, both in aircraft.cfg and in the .air file (the latter I tried both in airED and MSFSEdit), I added max and min beta pitch values to bo…

The GPS_INFO structure and the GPS_WP_INFO structure don't seem to have the information that's displayed in the second and third fields of the default GPS. Where does this information come from? The first field in the default GPS is the waypoint ICAO identifier. But the second and third fields show a city/state/waypoint full name. Is there another structure not listed in gps_info.h that contains this data?

Happy new year everybody.I want to set vertical speeds in an AP but without being locked into the altitude. It seems that VS only works if the altitude hold is active. I want the altitude hold to be off yet be able to control the height with VS only. I have found threads on this before, but only C code was given. It's easy to translate this for XML use, but I could not get it to work.I want to set the angle in the Flight Path Angle of the AP, and knowing the true air speed, calculate and set VS, but the altitude hold must be off. The formula is Sin(fpa) x true airspeed=VScheers, nick

However because the panel is the main window the zoom factor is also increasing on button press. Can I de-activate the zoom factor? I've had a look at the assignments page but can't see how to do this.Any hints and ideas appreciated.Regards...Kenny

I hope the titel makes sense to attract the right responses. I posted this question on the general site and am now trying it here to see whether there is an answer which doesn't need setting buttons, but maybe an alteration in the .cfg. Any advice appreciated. Thanks...>>Hi all,A question I must ask. I like Steven Grants planes a lot but they don't have vcs' and so I generally delete them!! as I like to switch through the views and don't like the 'empty' view of a missing vc, but I did d/l a Cessna I think which had no vc, but also had only 3 views in it's cycle and so didn't have the problem. Is there a way to adjust the cfg perhaps to create a 3 view cycle when you want?Lemonadedrinker.<< That airplane was the Cessna…

Hi, is it possible using XML code to set the following on an Airbus style AP (Flight Control Unit),1) Track heading. There is a choice on the real world aircraft to switch between heading and track. It looks like the track can be set in a simalar way to the heading.2) Activate the LOC so the aircraft locks on to the localiser only.cheers, nick
