If proatc freezes on you/freezes your FSX network it and should work fine.Tested on 3 flights and no freezes yet.

Hi, I already posted these questions on the Active Sky forum but have not received any replies. If anyone has AS 2012, when winds aloft are given at various altitudes, such as 349@09(-6), I assume this means winds are from 349 degrees at 09 knots. What does the -6 mean? Also, I wanted to fly using histrorical data from 11-14-2012. After downloading the data, the METAR data uses the correct data for the 14th. However, following this are Airmets and Sigmets that use the data of the actual current date (11-26-2012), Why aren't these dates from the 14th. also? Thanks. Tom

Some unknown activity happened to my install of ther PMDG resulting in a corrupted panel.cfg file. I had an FSX crash and now I'm unable to get the ramp manager panel to display. When I select it, it pops up and disappears, seemingly to behind the FSX window. Despite closing all my open windows, and using "Force Window Display" to perhaps reveal it if hidden, I cannot find it. Very frustrating as I have no way to initiate the external power to start the Jestream. I could re-install, but hoping to avoid having to do so. Perhaps someone can share their panel.cfg file or snip the revelvant window01 information so as to bring it back to default. Rob

I used to fly Default aircraft all the time. Thats all I would fly. The 737, 747, and so on. There all "decent". When I first played FSX, I was kind of happy that most of the controls were kept simple, because I had no idea what I was doing really, with no aircraft experience. But once I got more advanced, learning how planes operate, and practicing my skills FSX, I moved on to the pay ware aircraft, like the PMDG, and Captainsim. Now you can actually see more physics involved in the plane, as well as reality. Like most of the button and controls in real life are toggable in the payware. When you have a aircraft that takes two cities just to make a cord. turn what part of the config file can be changed to reduce this turn radius. If you know how to reduce this radius please explain what I need to change to reduce the radius. Thanks CP

Hi, if you look at the attach you will see the images I have added along to this post. I just updated my drivers to the computer, and I got this message when I startet FSX. Is there anyway I can fix this, without going back to the old drivers? I use a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 card.

I do it in both FS9 and FSX and I have issues in FSX that I don't see in FS9. Is that normal? In FSX I have problems with the plane starting to move right after loading the plane even at idle power and brakes has no effect it seems. That brake problem can I also experience when taxing. Can't stop the planes since the brakes seem to have no effect. The plane actually stops after a while. Another thing I have noticed is that in FS9 I can have sideviews and seing the plane in 2D cockpit even if I have disabled the VC. This is not the case in FSX.

Ok so maybe someone can clear up some confusion for me.. I enjoy flying the PMDG 737-NGX, I like to fly a real world flight plan and sometimes those flights are quite long.. I dont always want the weather to change at the destination. So what setting keeps the weather engine from going out to the internet and pulling down new weather when I get near my destination. Does OPUS download global Metars or just Metars that are close to your location ? Regards Mark

Hi there, I brought Opus last night, and had a quick test flight and worked perfect (could get metar for dep and arr airports) However today i have loaded up at EGBB, and I’m getting no METAR for EGBB at all, and i tried it at EGPH and the same, no weather... (When i click on Weather report in FSX its saying ''No Weather Avalible at Present'' ) ?? Any ideas?? Cheers

Huge apologies for asking this, but as my first gen i7 computer blew up on Saturday searching through the forums properly on my phone is a real pain. My question to the gurus here, is that on my old now defunct i7 2600 I had hyper threading turned of as mentioned in Word Not Allowed's guide if memory serves me correctly and with the other tweaks my performance was adequate and much improved prior to the tweaks. I have my configuration backed up and have a separate document detailing what I'd added etc to the configuration so thank goodness for that. Sorry to post here again... but something is seriously wrong with opusFSX weather. In Casper, Wyoming, 12:19 PM when I look outside, there are scattered low clouds, and NO high cirrus clouds. When I load up the sim with opus, all the weather loads is HIGH cirrus clouds! And there arn't even any cirrus clouds!!! I loaded REXE+, and they got it exactly right. What is going on?

Trying this out with GTx690, FSX FPS set to unlimited, and so far looking very smooth. PercisionX fps locked @ 45. And conditions allowing it holds 45. I know that under the hood its using the same FPS options provided by NVIDIA inspector, cause i can see it updates nv inspector, which means its the latest version of the nvidia fps limiter that seems to be working much better than last i tried it when the option first became available a while back. Back then fsx stuttred more and the frame limit never worked on my system, but now much better. I set this option from percisionX casue i use percision for gpu fan control / OC etc, but it has a slider for fps that …

Hello, i have a very big problem with my new Computer. I get the PC because i want to play FSX better as my old PC. But after a view of Minutes i become a Bluescreen with the code: 0x00000101 What we do: BIOS reset, cpu fan, PC fan, a new graphic card (GTX 560 ti ) new drivers,hardware tests.....but always the same problem. But only by using FSX. Can you help me? Its very bad... Since I've installed FSX, I've had my fps locked at 30 and I achieved that 30 fps in about 99 pct. of all my flying. Never gave a thought about changing it. Then I recently DL'd the Carneado King Air, and for the first time, I saw a dip in that performance. Moreover, the King Air had an effect on Tileproxy--tileproxy's textures would blur more often. I did not want to give up the King Air or Tileproxy, so I decided to reduce my fps to 18, which took a bit of trial and error. From the beginning, it seemed less smooth but Tileproxy was back to crisp and sharp textures for me. I figured I would just change the fps back to 30 whenever I wasn't using the King Air. Fa…

Hi, am new here I noticed an issue with the default B738. The fuel consumption is quite high and can go almost 3 times more than the estimated fuel usage listed on the flight plan. Don't have a similar problem with the default B744 though. Any solutions?

Hello everyone, I am just in the middle of re-installing FSX after an issue made me uninstall everything. I kept important things like a copy of my old .cfg so I could scan it to find settings I liked etc. It was a bummer I had to uninstall FSX because it was running beautifully. Anyway, I thought I'd take this chance because I am starting from scratch to see if anybody has opinions and suggestions for my .cfg. Hi I'm new to FSX. I am now running a plain FSX withs SP2. I only run My ASE 2010 and WOP2 P51D which can be used for both fs9/fsx. Think I am gonna fly in fsx for GA's or perhaps my next fsx native A2A products. Watching YT clips, I was truly deeply amazed with FTX ORBX sceneries. How do they run on medium system? say, my i5 2500K at clock speed with slider corrections here and there+Bojote's tweak? No I do not plan to OC, I will get a new GPU sometime this end of the year but not overclocking. It'd be great hearing from users. I do't know if their forum is accessible for non costumers, haven't tried, I know this is a good place to start . Respectfully

This could be a question for the Eaglesoft guys but here it goes.....Whenever I fly the Citation II 2.0, each time it is parked and I change the views, it tends to do a little bounce and then back to a prone position. It isn't that bothersome, but does anyone have a solution for this??

Hi, Poolsize=0 is just awesome, i have like minimum 25-30 FPS and up to 40+ in aerosoft paris CDG with 70% traffic, it was just like a dream.... And more than 60+ fps in default sceneries. (i have unlimited fps) I really want to use this, but it gives me flashing/flickering textures :( Do you know how to fix that ? I have a i5 3570k 3,6 ghz and gtx 660 (...) + ssd for fsx. thanks

I have the REX plus weather engine..which gets the meta data and sends weather themes to FSX on a set frequency. This makes my weather go from low visibility to high visibility and back frequently (Same for winds and so forth). How do I make the system change the weather more gradually from one stage to another? Is there a setting in REX or FSUIPC that I could use? Manny
