I am having fun with the Airbus X again! Yes, that's right: the one from 2010, not the Extended version (which hasn't been released yet). I didn't fly in it anymore after buying the PMDG 737NGX. The latter got shelved too as soon as I learned how things worked: after that it all became too boring for me so I went back to my GA planes. And now, after almost a year or so of only flying GA, I decided to fly an airliner again, also because I recently bought OpusFSX, Orbx England and Latitude: I wanted to check those out from a bit higher altitude. I have been recording videos with fsrecorder and then screen capturing them with fraps after playback however the raw file is good quality even in fullscreen however when I slightly crop it to remove all the windows and stuff on the side the quality drops a lot even when i render in 1080p using vegas pro 11 here are some of my videos on my youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/FlightSimulatorX97 If you have any tips of tricks please post I would really appreciate it thank you

Hi, Got Opus yesterday, still figuring things out. I seem to have lost my F12 top down view which I used to orientate myself at airports. Did Opus take this away ? Is there a way to get it back ? thx your help b rdgs Dick

Anyone on here finding the same as me? Windows 8 is something a bit special? I have run FSX over the years using a few iterations of Win 7, everything from Home Basic to Ultimate, all on x 64 based system, varying results with FSX on these different line ups - Ultimate x64 worked the best when it was running nicely, but if something was not quite right, it was the ginger haired stepchild from hell! OK, I guess the title maybe not quite so easy to understand. So I'll try and explain. When I'm flying the NGX, sometimes, not always, I like to have the PFD and ND opened up to twice the size and I have them sitting in the bottom left of the VC. This is more often than not when I'm descending and starting an approach. But when I change to any other view and then return to the VC, the two instruments have popped back into the VC display. Is there any way I can retain their position so they are still positioned where I had previously dragged them when I return to the VC? Cheers guys...

It's not a major problem (thankfully). I reinstalled fsx and I use super traffic board and when I click on the planes the view is always an ai view. I would like to have locked spot view each time I click an airline. I have tried to use my joystick to position the plane the way that I want and save as default. But everytime fsx loads it shows the same view. You all know the one, it shows the plane from the front at a 45 degree angle. I forgot about this because I haven't needed to reinstall for about 5 years and took it for granted. No matter how careful you are, there is always something you will forget. Thank you for any help.

When using TrackIR with an aircraft, I've suddenly started getting a bright white flash when I virtually durn my head in the cockpit. During the NGX aircraft initialization, the countdown timer banner flashes white every second. In my airports, I have jetways and ramp areas or buildings/vehicles that are just white shapes or 3D blocks. This is new and I'm not sure where to post this. I've searched the forums and tried several fixes, but nothing is working. Help!

Once you get ENB series ini. file into the fsx main folder, it's really a matter of tweaking it. I've spent hours fiddling with these setting and think I've got it down pretty good. This is a 'bloomy' setting, so if you don't like your fsx to look all soft and atmospheric, adjust it yourself. This is a great starting point for fsx. For fsx, the most critical settings are: under [bloom] Bloompowerday= The brightness and power of the fuzziness/70's porn look of fsx. I don't do a whole lot of night flying and never really noticed these thin lines on the left and upper edges until recently, although they could have been there for awhile. The line on the left runs maybe a 1/4 of the way down and the upper line runs nearly all the way across. Nothing at all on the right or bottom. My screen resolution is 1920x1080x32 and that's also what FSX runs at. All this is on an ASUS G74SX laptop. Although not a show stopper or something to ground my aircraft, I'm curious if any others have seen these before and what I might do (if anything) to fix it. I'm reading through Word Not Allowed's guide and I see mention of the Nvidia Inspector. Does the Nvidia Inspector do the exact same thing that you can set through the Nvidia 3D Settings Panel that is installed with the driver? (Things like setting FXAA vs. CSAA, Supersampling, etc. ec.). I'm not familiar with Nvidia Inspector and was wondering if someone might tell me what you guys use it for in FSX and how you best utilize it in FSX? Would you happen to have a link to explain how and why we use it in FSX? I'm new to FSX and in the process of setting up/tweaking my FSX install. Should I be installing Nvidia Inspector as well? Newbie and so apologies for wrong forum, question already asked/solved etc. :mellow: I recently had a problem with a fairly new FSX install (few weeks old, dodgy addon) on a newly built computer that required me to remove it and start again. However, reinstalling it is proving to be more trouble than any reasonable individual has a right to expect. Hi, I'm considering buying the Saitek Headset, and I'd like to take advantage of the mic with VoxATC. I just have a few questions. 1. Could I say stuff that the pilot and ATC say in real life, such as "Thanks" or "G'day" after they have been advised to tune another frequency? Here's an example of what I mean. Five days ago, I purchased AirTrafficFX from Flight1. I immediately had problems with it, and immediately requested help on the appropriate support forum at Flight1. While I was on there, I started reading other support requests about the product that seemed to go back nine months or so, and for which there had been no resolution. I use the matrox box with 3 screens. When I select for the Cessna 172 the minipanel (Cockpitview, toggling W), the six instruments are no circles anymore, but ellipses spread over the 3 screens. It doesn't seem possible to adjust the size of the minipanel window. I can open a separate window, but in this new window I cannot use the toggle W option to get the minipanel. Does anybody know how to adjust the size of the minipanel to get pure round clocks again?

Good Morning! I have not been able to get the engines started! :rolleyes: I have gone through the Before Start, and Starting Engine checklists verbatum. I get engine spool up but when I turn on the fuel valves (power levers forward) the engines just hang. Never start. I have IGN lights, fuel flow, etc. IS THERE something I am missing or some procedure, little switch I am not turning on? Some trick to it? Thanks in advance guys for your expertise. I appreciate it.

Hi Folks, I have tried using nicksmoke unsuccessfully with the PMDG 747 as there are =9 in the effect which affects logo lights etc and not all 4 engines blow smoke, can anyone offer a realistic solution that works for the 4 engine smoke effects for the PMDG 747, and the positions of the effects if possible. Your help is greatly appreciated, many thanks all.
