This is near Taipei. I downloaded the OSM vector road and converted all vector road autogen lights to the new 3D lighting. Running in DX10, I can apply Light Bloom to those lights and still get ok performance. The low fps (around 20) could because of my 6 years old system. Until Steve fix the DX10 transparency bugs, those 3D lights could look even better!

To improve FSX performance, I use the utility FSX Booster. For FSX booster to work, you first open FSX Booster, and then click "Fly Now" to run FSX. However, today I purchased REX, only to find that you must do the same thing. I tried running FSX through FSX Booster, but that only resulted in an error message saying REX had stopped working. And considering REX isn't going to make things any easier on my computer, I really want to be able to run FSX Booster. Is there any way around this?Edit: And is there any way just to load REX without entering a flightplan? Hello, I have these camera effects fthat I use for the NGX and I don't remember where I got them from, they're ok but I have some problems with them. My problem is that I always use the HUD (I like simulating AAL flights) and the effects constantly move me out of view of the HUD...and so I have to constantly press a button to bring me back too my orignal camera view so I can see the HUD. Does anyone have some effects profiles they can share with me? I'm looking for a little bump and rattle during turbulence and while screaming down the runway but I want the camera to always bring me back to my default positon; instead of moving me a couple inches away from the center o…

I posted in the hardware forum with no luck yet. First, does any place stock it in the U.S.? FSpilotshop and PC aviator do not stock it. Will it work with PMDG, iFly, Wilco 737 and Coolsky DC-9/Super 80 products as well as any others? Thanks David

If you look at the picture below, you can clearly see that the clouds are cut off in a straight line. I have tried lowering and increasing the draw distance for the clouds and that doesn't fix it. Someone please help. Does anyone else have this problem?

Stephen, just a quick post to say thanks for such a great product. For the first time ever in FSX I have stable, accurate winds aloft and no longer experience instantanious overspeed on climb and descent. I have also compared winds aloft with real flight plans generated by my companies flight planning system, flown the at the scheduled time and found them accurate withing a few knots, just as you find in real life. Not to mention the low level cloud depiction and mist/fog simulation that is just fantastic. Great work. Matt Hicks

I am looking to import the default vertical speed gauge as a window into other aircraft. I have imported other gauges, but this one just comes up as a blank screen. I suspect that it is inside a cab file. Could anyone please give me a pointer on how to go about this thanks. John

Right now I have an EVGA NVIDIA GTX 680 (4GB) card hooked up to my 30" monitor running at 2560x1600 via DVI for FSX. I have a 37" HDTV sitting around collecting dust and was wondering if it's possible to hook the TV (HDMI) up to my same graphics card so that I can use it independently as a 2nd screen to place up various gauges like FMC/PFD/MFD, or use it for other apps such as moving map or flight planning? If so, will this make slow down the performance of FSX or no?

I installed the donationware canUK Scenery for CYYC - Calgary about a year ago when I went on a buying spree for addon airports. I use FSX so I downloaded and installed P. Nigel Grant's fix for the FS9 version of the airport. Nigel designed 4 .bgl's that help make CYYC work in FSX. The one issue that I would like to correct is the terrain within the airport boundary that is not covered by runways, taxiways and tarmac. Anybody used this site yet? www.simbrief.com its a flight planning website I used it for one flight and results were very good fuel prediction, weather forecast and nav log were pretty much spot on. It can also include notams, etops, stepclimbs and even runway analysis. This in real looking dispatch documentation that you can print out or save as pdf. And the good thing its free. I'm having a big problem (mostly in the Q400 but also in the NGX) in that the glideslope isn't matching the PAPI at many UK2000 airports but also at Earth Simulation's beta Isle of Man scenery. The GS seems to leave me VERY low on the PAPI and if stick with the PAPI I get a lot of 'glide slope' warnings. Is it just me?

I'm really annoyed with this issue. I'm using PFE for ATC, and it is amazing, can't fly without it anymore. Only drawback so far - it doesn't control ground traffic like default FSX ATC. I was in a bunch of situations where arriving or departing AI plane is playing chicken with me on APRON or even taxiway. Currently I'm on edge to use both default and PFE when taxing to avoid these idiotic stuff. I disabled aircraft collisions long ago, pure luck. Any smarter solution to avoid playing chicken games? :lol:

My system has 1 TB memory by two Seagate 500 GB hard drives. One drive crashed recently and I am getting a replacement from the company. This drive had OS in it. I installed fsx in the other drive which is ok but the one which crashed had C disk . Since files like fsx cfg gets installed by default in C disk, once I get the replacement, do I have to reinstall fsx or is there a way around? Please suggest.

Guys can you explain to me what make the physics different from any other plane to me it seems like its just flying like any other addon as a matter of fact its actually boring as my other aircraft get bounced around with accufeel or Opus but Q400 seems lifeless, can someone explain this to me is there something I am missing maybe I have not switched something on ?

Does anyone else have FSX crashes with Esdg's citation x v2 ? PMDG's work fine on my pc.. I bought Flight 1's B200 and it crashed, now the citation x.. ???

I made some tweaks to the .cfg, and I was wondering if I screwed something up, an image of the .cfg is attached. I run REX w/ Overdrive, with and I7 3.5ghz, 16Gigs RAM, GTX 670 if that makes any difference? Many thanks, Rammit

After all these years flying flight simulators, Ive never thought to hop over to the FO side. After all we do fly as single pilots even if we have accompanying virtual FO software. But when we started out flying on 2 pilot jets, we should actually be on the right side. Thats reality. I mention it because watching the justplanes Dvds etc the Captain and FO obviously take turns for landings and takeoffs and began to wonder what the what its like. Definitely a different perspective even though its just a few feet over. Just a curiosity. Have you flown on the FO side before? Dont forget to move the throttles to the left side of you.

I am currently using FSCommander, and it allows me to save my flight plan to PMDG's native .RTE format. Is there a better one that will allow me to do the same thing?

Just wanted to see if anyone has picked up this airport from JetStream. New developer who appears to have nailed their first project but I'm keen to hear from anyone who may have it.

In NV inspector what should the AA be set at eg: user defined or application controlled when also running sweetfx, if anyone could let me know as we know sweetfx won't work if AA is checked in fsx. Cheers Rod.
