I upgraded to 512mb of memory under Windows XP. Since I have never seen any memory allocation for FS2002 higher than 293mb I tried turning off all paging to disk. FS2002 worked just fine! The other MS Office stuff also works ok. A normal mixture of WORD, EXCEL, Outlook Experess, and a web Explorer page works without paging to disk. Therefore, I no longer have any paging turned on and no problems have occured. Probably turning it on would not change anything but I have always suspected that Windows used the paging file when it was not actually required in order to preserve real mamoey.Dick

I am curious if anyone ever made any air racing scenery.I remember when the mustang package got released there was talk taht someone was doing a scenery to go with it that had pylons and such.Anyone know? Or has anyone tried that Extreme Air Racing sim?

How do you get the autopilot to land your plane i have been flightsimming for over 2yrs now and i still havn't been able to do it. I am useing FS 2002. Any help would be great Thanks :)

Is there any mechanism in FS2002 that will allow the program to place you at the airport you finished at the last time you flew?Its not a huge deal, but I would love it if the program did not alway revert to the default flight.

Hi all,last night I downloaded a couple of what I remembered to be the best CFS2 planes I ever had for use in FS 2002. Among these is the Messerschmitt Bf 110C as presented in a "photo shoot" over at the screenshots forum. However, when I select this plane in FS 2002 I will get the send/don't send thingy. I also downloaded the VB Planes Me 410, but here FS will crash immediately when I try to select it.I remember that you need to do something with CFS2 aircraft models to get them working in FS 2002...is that true? If so, what is it, and do I need some utility to perform it?Thanks! :D

Hi there! I have just downloaded the Voice Pack utility! And the Net>work program to make the Utility run!! Now I can Open it up fine and the program shows me all the voices etc.....with sound!! Now I am trying to get SOUTHWEST to work, but I am really confused as to what to do?? I read the Readme but it gives little info on a step by step procedure to make things work! Can someone PLEASE explain to me what exactly do i gotta do to Get these new Airline names saved and working in FS2002??? Sunday, july 7, i will be loging on to vatsim, the aircraft will be a hot air balloon, the flight is called the spirt of america, i will be starting out in seatle washington, and if all goes right, landing 26 hrs later, in or around daytona beach fla, over 2100 miles. flight will be done in real time, without the aid of excellerated time. feel free to post comments/questions here or to my email. i will be posting more detalis, here as time gets near. feel free to stop by seatle wa. that morning to give the flight a warm sendoff.

I'm thinking about purchasing one or possibly both of these products, as I've heard they are very good. Can anyone offer some opinions? To my untrained eye, it looks like they do different jobs - so if I only go for one, which would be the better bet?Also, I believe that FSFlightMax can display a flight plan on it's moving map display... So does this mean that I can load a flight plan in to the RealityXP GSP system, fly it using that, and have it displayed on the FSFlightMax moving map? The reson I ask this is that the FSFlightMax map looks easier to read (ie it's bigger) than the RealityXP one...Any opinions and comments on these products would be greatly appreciated :-)…

I read a post today by someone I respect who wrote they fly "outside" the plane 99% of the time (and thus disdaining the cockpit/VC view).I'm not as experienced as some here but not exactly a new kid on the block either yet this remark kind of stumped me. I've taken outside views as I fly around various places, but are there really a lot of people who fly their planes from the outside most of the time? That's kind of like a radio-controlled plane, right? What are the normal views used? (Like, do you normally position the spot view off to one side, to the top or bottom, how far away, etc?) This may have been covered before, but tonight I got toreally see it first hand... Does it seem like the Project AI planes fly like maniacs?I mean even more than normal MS stuff? I've noted theseturkeys fly into each other, routinely have their IFRclearances cancelled, land at steep angles and disappear.....crowd up very tightly on the tarmac to depart. maybe4 feet separation. all of a sudden .... my aircrafts and buildings have lost all of the textures....hi, this happened to me already a few times and if i recall well i had to reinstall the display driver at the time. is there a different and easier solution ? just started FSIM today , can't see any textures on my aircrafts and buildings anymore. planes are completely white. how can this happening?Henry.
