Lately I have been flying online with VATSIM and I haven't really used the default ATC and what not.. But I just downloaded the PAI aircraft and installed them and what not, and for some reason, I have no traffic at any of my airports.. I have the ATC settings at 100% but nothing.. I have a feeling when I was installing some aircraft not too long ago, that I accidentaly deleted some of the files that the ATC uses, such as the aircraft.cfg and all that other good stuff thats at the bottom of your aircraft folder.. If someone could please help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated, or if you could send me the files i need, that would be really cool too! pbakers@bells…

Does anybody know what the default range is at which I can see contrails. Is there a way to change/increase it?I don't mean at what alt do they "come on", it's 30,000ft, that I know. Sometimes, when I do lower flights, say at FL290 or even FL250, I'd like to see the contrails of AI planes up higher. Heck, I'd love to be able to see'em from the ground. Does anyone touch up and modify their pictures into a painting?I worked this one as a poor example. I just touched up the sky blue in the back ground to visually push back the mountains and bring the aircraft forwards.I darkened the trees again to contrast the aircraft and highlight it and added a little setting sun to strengthen the existing setting sun on the leading edges all using photosuite.I also found a way to flatten pixillating when overworking JPEGS using the remove blemishes tool :-)Is anyone else creative with their pictures :-)Peter Nb this one took me ten minutes

Could use some help here.I have been trying to install Area 51 in Nevada.My first attempt was with the one developed by Jamie Al-Nasir. The surrounding desert texture was fine but many of the building were that blank white.My next attempt was with Dennis Waggoner's, which looked great, except now, the surrounding desert texture is white.During the install process of Mr. Waggoner's, I also installed the ASP texture files into the FS2002/Texture folder.I believe that is where the problem lies for now I get the white desert texture, regardless of whose version I have up.Turning both off from within the sim, via ADDON-SCENERY, removes the bases, leaving only normal desert wit…

My motherboard and Processor went out on me last week, so now Im computerless (Im on my aunts comp) Now I want to get a new Athlon XP, but when I look them up on the net they have something like AMD ATHLON XP 1600+/1.4 GHZ...I whats with the 1600 + stuff? does that mean you need dual processors? I've been flying the PSS Airbus and it flies like a dream for the most part. But, when I start my managed descent from FL300, the bus seems to descend a little hard. The nose down pitch seems a little on the exagerrated side. I does level off to something reasonable after a little while. Is it just me or is that the way the Bus flies?Gary

Hello,Well, here I am cruising around my screenies on my hard drive and thought, hmmm...wouldn't it be nice to make a splashscreen. Maybe even upload it since I download everybody elses splash's, thought I'd give back to my community. Well.....I've got my picture all set and then I read the readme.txt that came with the program and it says to download and use either Imagetool.exe from Microsoft (been there and searched forever..no luck) or DXTbmp by Martin Wright (not found here at Avsim.com so I tried to logon to Flightsim.com...of course I never was able to log on and after 30 times of seeing the 'all nodes busy' screen I gave up). Just went back to MS and noted they seem to have removed the new 8.1b from the site. Does this mean for those of us who down loaded the file we may now have a problem. After all the discussion some days ago about 8.1b being available I downloaded it just like others.
