My computer suddenly exploited !!! I don't know @#$!*& why. To make things even worse when I was reinstalling everything the CD Drive scratched the CD #1 all aroud the border, the Istallation begins without problems, but when is time to transfer the files to the hard drive, it simply stops and freeze. I tried the CD in different computers and had the same result!!Looking at the CD there's a thin area scratched all aroud the edge, the scratches are only in the surface, they don't look so deep.What can I do now? My computer is on repair, and It will be during the next two weeks :-( and I could not install the program in my other computer, is there a different solu…

Hi,I have a Compaq with a 733mhz, 128mb ram, 20GB, and some intel graphics card. Current things i don't like is the fps is around 4-13 on average with FS2002. Currently the images(logos, text) on planes look clear, but edges on planes are not that great. the maximum resolution i can use is 1024*768.Its real choppy at times, and most of us all don't like the idea of going into the graphics menu and turning it down a little... it hurts us all. So keeping that out of my options i'm deciding on getting a new graphics card. The word on the street is GeForce is the best out there... only opinions of course. Hey guys, Am I doing something wrong here. In full screen mode (which I have always used) I can adjust the resolution and turn on/off antialising. But now that I would like to fly on VATSIM, I have to turn full-screen mode off so I can see the atc text window. Now when I turn full-screen off, I lose my anti-alising and my ablity to change my resolution. Is this normal? Also, do I need to turn full-screen mode off or is there another way to run on Vatsim.Thanks for any help,Marc

I was going to try to set up a dual boot before but I didn't want to risk hosing my PC as I tried to load a second OS. Well my hard drive crashed anyway a few days ago and I lost quite a bit of stuff, now that I am installing a new primary hard drive and a new OS I would like to go ahead and install the dual boot. I'm always astounded by the advances that occur in the Flight Sim industry, and although most of my time is constrained due to work, I still like to pop in every now and again and see what's happened.Every now and again I come into this forum and ask this question, so here I am asking it again... I'm considering doing another around the world flight... are there any new quality freeware prop aircraft in which to do it? Of course I'm looking for nice textures, VC, etc. I have yet to find one that suits my taste precisely, I still use the default aircraft for most of my flights (I don't like to 'dirty' my sim up too much).Any ideas guys?Thanks,Kenneth

Does anyone know of a way to add ficticious weather reporting stations in FS Meteo to allow weather changes more often than allowed by the spacing of real weather reporting stations? I would like fairly precise control over how and when weather changes during a flight on the order of 100 NM in length, and FS Meteo and FS2002 don't seem to allow fine resolution control.Alternatively, are there any adventure makers that allow this? Super Flight Planner only seems to allow three different weather zones during the course of a flight; it would be nice to have at least five different weather zones, though more are necessary if smooth transitions aren't possible.Thanks very much…

Aerosoft German Airports 1 has moveable gangways at certain gates at the Munich airport. Does German Airports 1 & 2 for FS 2002 also havemoveable gangways at any of their airports? I cannot find any mention of this in the instruction manuals.Thank you.Stanner

Hello,I have currently AMD Thunderbird 1.33Ghz, 512 DDR RAM, 64mb GeForce2 GTS video, Turtle Beach Quadzilla audio, Windows 2000. I used to fly FS2000 and got hooked on PSS 777, 747, PIC 767, DF 737, Radar Contact, FS Meteo, SimFlyers sceneries. I stopped after Sept 11 due to personal reasons. Now I am thinking about going out and get FS2002. However I am no longer sure my system that used to run FS2000 very well can sustain FS2002 with similar 3rd party add-ons and decent graphic settings. Hi there,I couldnt afford the CH Yoke, so I went for the Saitek Cyborg Force instead which was on sale right now... and after some flying I must say I am not disappointed! Force Feedback is such a fun thing, you can feel the runway when you touch down. Nice!Additionally its MUCH more precise than my old stick because its optical.. no more potentiometers that can get old/dusty.In fact I needed to reduce FF power a bit because the effects are so strong. I have decided to upgrade to a GeForce 4 Ti 4400 video card. The best preices I can find in Toronto are among the following manufacturers:ASUS, Leadtek, ABIT and MSIThe price differences and the software bundles are not really a deciding factor as they are all priced very similarly.
