Took the plunge the other day and downloaded "repaints" of several aircraft types. Then I noticed the files contain no air files, nor aircraft config. files.Am I missing something? Do they fly with just the tex. file and the l file?I don't need the whole flight plans stuff. I was just going to use the aircraft and insert them myself into my own flight plans.DAH!ThanksRick

Good evening. I finally got fed up with my video card locking up and went out and bought a Triplex GeForce 4 Ti 4200 128 mdg card from Triplex. I couldn't install it and am wondering if its a bad card or if there is a compatiblity issue I don't know about. Using either the drivers included with the card or the most recent Nvidia drivers, the card will not complete the install. I get a error message after the system identifies the card that it failed to install, and when I open up the hardware profile and it says that the card is not installed because it is "configured incorrectectly (Code 1)". No driver is associated. I tried every driver on my hard drive, manual install…

Claude G VE2BWEHi, I did some repaint and had a lot of fun. But my main problem is when I want to change the main color of the body of the aircraft or paint big stripes on it whitout going over the limit. What I mean is if I go to far painting the tail the sky take the color of the plane when flying. Take any default Boeing 777 in FS2002 and the background color of the "T" file is white. The main color of the aircraft too. So How do you determine the border of the piece your painting ????Any help would be appreciated a lot.Tank. I just noticed this, you have your Nav and Strobe lights mixed up on your 1900D, you've got the Nav lights on the winglets and the strobes on the wing tip. On a real 1900D, the navs on the wing tip and the strobe is on the winglet. I know this because I work ramp @ MKE for Skyway, The Midwest Express Connection. Is there anychance that you'll fix this slight error.

Tonight I was flying on VATSIM and everything was fine and then when I opened up my web browser after the flight, all the fonts have decreased in size. For example, when I open AVSIM.com, the news at the top of the page is really small. I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON! PLEASE HELP! I have restarted my computer like 50 times... nothing! Was just flying the Bell 206B helo. What's the GPS/NAV switch for on the panel? There is no autopilot for the helo that I can see. Is there a way to use it? If so, how? thanks, Bob.

I've been wanting to head south to Chicago's O'Hare airport and just "watch airplanes." But as I recall from many years ago, there used to be small observation decks above the terminals where folks could do just that.I believe they have closed those decks since 9/11.Anybody know of a spot(s) around or at O'Hare where I can legally spend and afternoon watching the big iron do their thing?ThanksRick

Hi My problem is that my joystick is too sensitive in FS2002. I have a MS Siddewindeer Precision 2. The rudder in particular is so sensitive that I cannot keep the centerline on takeoff wiht any plane. I apply a little rudder and the plane turns like crazy.The sensitivity level in FS is set at minimum. (FS2002 Pro)Any help is appreciated.Take careMike

Hello, all. I've been away from the FS world for quite some time and recently felt the urge to get back into it. Of course, even prior to buying FS2002, I typed in AVSIM into my browser... :)Anyway, I purchased the RealityXP avionics package last night-- as well as the FSD Cheyenne. However, I can not add the GPS to the Cheyenne using the EZConfig (Nor to the Falcon 50)--These are the only addon aircraft I have. It installed perfectly on the default panels.All I get are black windows were the instruments should be.I just can't figure this out...any ideas? Thanks!!:)

The two of them worked fine as long as I did nothing but use the Standard WinXP drivers. But the moment I tried to use the CH software for assigning keys the trouble began.I installed the software and started mapping keys. Not two complicated but without any help from CH it is not exactly userfriendly. I started up my rig only to find out that now the toebrakes are applied constantly. Heaven knows why. Next thing the rudder pedals were only capable of a 5 degree movement of the airplane's rudders. New key assignments within FS2002 did not work either.The only thing that worked was the new key mapping (Button 1 for ATC1, Button 2 for ATC2.)Then I started FS2002 without the…

I'm experimenting with the AI and the AI Shuffler and I can't figure out which callsigns the ATC is able to say.I changed a BA aircraft in aircraft.cfg from BRITISH to SPEED BIRD and indeed, ATC now says "Speed Bird".I tried also to add "Transavia" (A Dutch semi-charter) to an aircraft by changing the atc_airline line in aircraft.cfg, but now it only mentions it's flightnumber.Question now is: How many airlines does FS2K2-ATC know and uses in it's speech?Is there a file in the FS2K2 dir. that lists them?If not, how does it process them? Hi- When I panview with my CH yoke, hat switch, the panel goes along. i.e., I'm looking, say, at my 5 o'clock and the panel is there just like when i'm looking ahead. Any idea how to have no panel on panview other than ahead?- How to have the frequencies changed (not manual) when I knowledge the ATC message?Many thanks in advancecmgam

Hi All,My first visit here, and in need of some help. I'm running FS2002 with the Phoenix 747-400 Professional Upgrade (which is excellent, by the way).I've pretty much mastered the avionics and control systems, start-up procedures etc...but I'm struggling to find out how to bring up the weather radar on the Navigation Display.Any ideas anyone? I'm, getting a clicking & like tabs or flaps running up and down noise like something keeps adjusting while flying the Pilatus pc 12.It happens even when autopilot is off.I can't describe it any other way.Anyone else have this or know what it is?Thanks,Ron
