Whenever I try to engage the altitude hold in my IADG A320, the plane just nosedives into the earth. There is probably some easy fix for this, but I don't kow it. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I have read about this, but after looking for a half hour I have given up.All my AI aricraft textures are gone. I am sure there is a way to get them back. Can anybody help.Ron

Anyone had a problem with the sound in ATC dropping out ? . The actual On screen messages are ok its just I cant here the fellow say them !!. I just bought the USB CH Fighter stick. I have had the CH USB Yoke and USB peddles and they work fine except for the known XP peddle problem.My question is I want to continue to use Yoke and Peddles as I have been. I would also like to use the CH Fighter stick for the Bell and any other aircraft. I see both Yoke and Fighter stick in FS2002 but the Yoke works and the Stick doesn't. Can both of them exist together.If I get the Stick to work the Yoke doesn't and vice versa.Thank You in advance to all who reply.Regards!Bill

If you have taken student lesson 2 (all about turns), you might have noticed that it ends rather abruptly. Well, after studying the ABL file for the lesson, I found out why -- half of the lesson isn't executed!If you'd like to see for yourself, open up the lesson2.abl file in the FS2002/Lessons/Student directory in your favorite text editor. Basically, the script is called about once a second by the sim, and a variable, nState, is maintained across calls to keep track of where we are in the lesson. Need some community expertise:Initially, I started running FS2K2 with the original Sidewinder FFBK pro, and things worked very well. This spring I installed the CH yoke and pedals and left installed the joystick. I flew like this for a couple of months with no interaction problems between the stick and yoke.Two weeks ago (with nothing intentionally changed) my plane was uncontrolable and I tracked it down to FS2K2 permitting inputs from either the yoke or stick simultaneously! I'm at a loss here-- my MS FS 2002 doesn't play the sounds of my planes and the cockpit view is no longer there. What the heck happened to it? I checked that the sound was turned on and my volume up. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, last night I decided to give the NVidia V 29.80 drivers (read: the custom ASUS release) a try. My results were mixed, though. I confess I also like to play Train Sim, and while the 29.80ers eliminated that slight stutter the 29.41ers had been giving me there, FS 2002 looks, well, mushy. Even though I kept my personal visual tweaks, the terrain textures now look EXTREMELY blurred starting from about an estimated 1.5 - 2 miles distance from my aircraft. I doubt it might be that "motion blur" which has been talked about on this board, since it even seems to appear while the plane is stationary at the airport. My vid card is an ASUS V8200 GF3 Ti 200 with 64 megs of DDR…

Hi,Yesterday I got a major short in the powersuply. So,..what to do exept going to the retailer to pick up a new powersuply.....Now,...to my surprise, the old powersuply was a 200W !!!! But I picked up a 300W instead, since my motherboard supports it. :-)What I immediately noticed was that the videocard (GeForce2 GTS 32) now gives a super crisp picture, and even gives a much better performance !!??Is it possible that the videocard is dependable of a high powersourse to work properly? I thought that the old 200W was enough for a Geforce2 GTS.....?? What disturbes me with this matter is that there is not a single word from the videocard manufacturer regarding the powerneed …

Generally speaking, I like the AI aircraft when I fly offline (which I'm doing more and more of recently, as my available flying times don't match well with busy ATC times on VATSIM, but I digress...).I do have a grip and am wondering if there's an adjustment that can be made. I read in somebody else's thread that you cannot adjust the approach speeds of the AI aircraft. Can you adjust their behavior in relation to the ATC commands? I am being driven nuts by being cleared to land in an aircraft with a slow approach/landing speed and having an MD-80 behind me cleared to "follow the Baron on final" only to have him blast over the top of my aircraft and land ahead of me.…

Completed a flight from Monterey Bay to Taos, New Mexico - King Air. Upon landing - and taxi to parking, ran into a "bug" - I guess ?Shut engines down, set parking brake, and then noticed aircraft was rolling slowly backwards..... manual brakes - no affect, parking brakes were already on & set. Checked I hadn't hit slew "Y" .... and, ground winds modest - from opposite direction of roll - so I wasn't being blown around.Any known cause of this ?Ron

I am loving this yoke, but I would REALLY love it if I could find a way to assign the keyboard numbers "1" and "2" to a button(s) on the yoke. That way, I won't have to reach for the keyboard to acknowledge an ATC instruction. I don't see how I can do this. Can anybody help?Thanks

I downloaded all the required stuff and got it working, but my biggest question is how do I enter the commands for the views? In FS2002 they are listed as Shift + Num 6 or something close but I tried every variation I could think of to get it working in speechbuddy. The closest Ive gotten so far is speechbuddy turning look right, left, ahead, etc into the "s" key. It is a nice little program that helps out for people that dont have a million buttons on their joysticks. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. :)Craig

Hi,To keep the official RTW Challenge thread clean, I decided to open a new thread for an Aside...I saw that someone thought it was a real shame that there was a mix up. Yeah it was, in a way... but the confusion was quite simple in the end and I personally thought the situation was hilarious... and being one of the people who carried the 'fake' baton made it even more funny, for me. I certainly learned a thing or two.Perhaps we should have another race from time to time, to see how far away from the baton we can get in three hours! :D Looking forward to picking up the real baton soon.Regards,Simon.

As a C/C++ software developer, I was interested in the Netpipes SDK released by Microsoft. I read the doc, but I couldn't find the answer to my question:Is it possible to record a flight and to replay it while flying (like if it was another player in a multi-player session)?In FS2000, FS Traffic had this option: record a flight, and replay it while flying.If someone has an idea on how to do that, I can bring my C/C++ expertise to develop it.

Hello all,i'm upgrading my pc to AMD Athlon 2000+Xp,on an Asus A7V266-E,with 512 DDR and windows XP .My question,for fs2002 should i replace my geforce 3 ti 200 64megs with a geforce4 ti 4200?Would i see an amazing difference?I'm upgrading from an athlon 950mghz with 512 sdRam.ThanksRichard
