I just purchased a new, much faster computer and I would like to raise some of the settings in the game to make the graphics of a higher quality. What levels does everyone have the graphics settings set to and do you have good results with those settings? Thanks!

Is there a utility or a way to extract information from the airport database? For example, I'd like to get a list of airport ID numbers and lat/long.

I used to use Navstar99 for FS2000 but that no longer works with FS2k2. Anyone have recommendations on a good replacement?

Just for curiosity I've tried the JohnCi tip about opening another topdown window for viewing cloud layers and look what I saw before and after opening the topdown window. Is this some kind of bug in the 3D rendering engine?Gig

I am trying to activate multiple monitors with windows xp... so any help is appreciated. My video specs are geforce3 ti500 with dv1 out to old monitor, which by the way, is working right now mirroring the default monitor. Problem how do i install this second monitor ... I can not get xp to recongize that video card has two connected to it.Usually xp picks up on any new hardware... what am i missing.and then if we do figure this out.... do i need wide fs for msfs to utilize both monitors??? or is this an out of date way of multi display.again Thanks for any input....Steve

1. I thought it would be cool if your could start a forum for painters, i think that is a good idea cause there are many painters in the community in avsim. That might be a idea for you guys in avsim for the future,and 2 I have uploaded a aa 767-200 in avsim and a while back i have seen a guy on fsplanet link it to fsplanet.com under his titles. I have spent many hours on the bird and know he has done this to other painters. Its getting a little rediculus i even found him with my saa 747-300 too from months before. He is breaking the copyrighted rules. I want to know what your viewpoint is on this topic.

I have several Simflyers sceneries and the only one I have a problem with is Newark. What happens is the taxyways are overlaying the default ones. Also the planes sink into the runways only but are fine everywhere else. I think Im missing an exclude setting for my scenery config but could not find reference to one in the readme file. Hi all,I've just uploaded a reworked version of Jeridan Light's Thunderbird II Microlight with new cockpit views, real Rotax 503 sounds and true microlight flight behaveour.The physics are now very close to the real microlights I've flown. Yes, you can fly some of the two seater ones like the Quicksilvers below 30 mph and sometimes even as low as 20 mph! They would seldom exceed 80 mph though. I created the Rotax 503 sounds from recorded samples of the real thing. Some of the AFCAD files available for certain airports say Simflyers in the title. Is it possible to use these with the default MS airports if I don't have Simflyers scenery?

Hello,I am new to the MS flight simming community and I am enjoying the add ons, thanks everyone. My question is, are there any add on releases out there (that I don't have to enter the data for flight routes, etc) that deal with the AI flights of real airlines, correct number of flights etc at specific airports. I interested mainly in US flights. Any way to get rid of the fake airlines called by ATC that are in traffic patterns, and at terminals?? Trying to make the sim more realistic. Ok, I know this has been asked before, but I can't find it again. I like the view zoom set to about .70 in the virtual cockpit for the small turboprops and about .85 for the jets. I can't stand the small area they default you too. Is there anyway to PERMANENTLY change this in the .cfg file so I don't have to do it everytime I load up the flight?? Thanks in advance!!

Why is it messed up?

I have been wanting a decent DC-9 for a while. Project freeware reopening has been great and these look very good but they are older models still. Recently there have been several 9's come out but I have to say the freeware one from Van's is really nice. I tried to download and install the Northwest one last night but had some unknown problem not allowing it to show. So I saw the Aeropostal version and used it and swapped the textures, works like a champ now. The Flight model is really good and the door and stairs work along with the thrust reversers. It has a rough virtual pit but I dont use these in the big iron anyway. I would recommend this if your looking for a nice…
