I've noticed that my AI aircraft have neither smoke nor any other effects. Is there some place you turn on these attributes. I have the applicable sections in the aircraft.cfg file but no effects.Also, is there a way to slow down AI aircraft on approach, go-around, and takeoff. At some of the busiest airports the AI aircraft look like bees coming and going - very rapid.Thanks.Confucious say, "Man who fly upside down have crack up."

I am running Win98 and have a Thrustmaster FLCS, TQS and RCS using the Stickworks digital chips. After I installed FS2002 I went to try out the Virtual Cockpit but found I cannot pan in any direction. If I start in "Windows Mode" for the stick I can pan OK but obviously cannot use my F22 file with all it's various commands. Has anyone else had this kind of problem. My fs2002.cfg file contains no reference to the joystick.

If you haven't been to Wilco's site www.wilcopub.com and seen the new A320 PIC coming this fall, go take a look. They have a lot of new things coming. Ever since I have been flying PSS's Airbus series, I have been wanting more. This looks to be a very promising product indeed.After simming all this time with the PIC 767 I will definetly drop the cash for this addon.Anyone else have any great news on up and coming products? I bought this video card and I have to tell you that it is the worst card in the world. This Video Card brings down your performance in FS, and the graphics looks horrible. So far, I've only seen this happen on the convair.....Installed the convair sounds available here on flightsim.com onto the Convair CV580.My problem is that sometimes I hear the startup sound, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I hear the engines start properly, sometimes the starter has no sound at all, and when the engine fires, it's *instantly* running at a completely steady idle as if it's been running idle for awhile before.Any idea what might be causing this?Thanks

I cant get anti alising to work in FS! I have the anti alsing set to 6x in the windows display properties and i also have anti alising checked in FS, but, everything is jaggy!! Please Help!! I have installed numerous drivers but still it doesnt work!

I just got a new P4 2.2 GHz system and I am trying to tweek it out to run FS2002. Several weeks ago in one of the forums, I seem to remember coming across a test program that runs multiple video clips which tests your entire system. It has a dragon flying over a village as one of the tests. I am not sure but I think it also will give you the description of "All" components inside your pc like the size, speed and type of memory as well as what kind of hard drive, mother board, and processor you have.ThanksTerry

Can any of you guys help me out with this problem...I am new to PC's and have no idea how to do the following...In a DOS or command window, CD to the "B762 PIC POSKY3" folder and run ".cfgmerge PICPOSKY.cfg Wilco.cfg > Aircraft.cfg". The cfgmerge executable will merge the two .cfg files to produce the Aircraft.cfg.The install.batch file would not work so I am trying to do this manually.Thanks,Astro

I just figured out why my GF4 4600 was running so slow...well it wasn't! It was because I was using the card with all the effects turned on and set to max. Effects which my older Ti500 GF3 card did not have...The biggest frame rate killer is a little thing called "Anisotropy Filtering". When this bad boy is turned on, I lost on average about 5 to 10 frames, especially in games/programs that don't take advantage of it.So until NVIDIA drivers and programs better support this filter, use it with caution.Just an FYI....Josh[br][br][div align=center]http://members.cox.net/joshieca/fstimeslink.gif][br

I've recently purchased the FSD Commander thanks to some recommendations in this forum, and I've been really happy with it. It looks great, flies great ....Got a couple of questions:* I notice that the checklist shows airspeed at landing at 80-90 KIAS. I find that to be really fast, and I have a hard time putting it down at that speed without bouncing or ballooning out of the flare. Any advice on what I might be doing wrong, or should I just (as I have been doing) put her down at around 70 KIAS?* Has anyone done any new textures for the pilot? Howdy,Just wondering if anyone else has d/l'd Bob Proulx's hand-held gps (gar_gps.zip) available over at flightsim.com, and if so, haave they got it to work? Reason being: installed it as per the Readme, but upon firing up 2K2, get a: "Third Party item not compatible with FS" message (refering me to the Gauges file and the gps_2.gau); and the hand-held, whilst showing up in panel view, cannot be activated (at least not in 3rd party a/c).Anyone have a similar experience? For FS98/2000 there was a grat (50+) airport add-on(freeware)for the entire African continent. Does anyone know if author Mattias Hinze (?) has any plans to make an updated version for FS2002?
