As far as MSFS is concerned, I've never been too much into helicopters, but this piece of art might just have changed my mind! :D However, I still cannot figure out how to fly it properly. On reading the "manual" that came with it I found a line, telling something like that I should disconnect the joystick to get the controls working as they should. But I'm wondering...how should you be able to fly a helicopter without a stick? Is there really no way to make use of my joystick (MS Sidewinder Precision 2 USB w/o Force Feedback)? I mean, I can more or less use it to control the chopper, but I have to keep F4 pressed all the time to prevent it from descending - even with aut…

I downloaded the new Lago FSSS demo, and when I try to install it, it says it needs the registration code, and it wont let me continue until I give it one! Of course I dont have a code because I want to use the demo right now for free. Am I missing somthing? What should I do?Thanks, Michael Hawkins

Part of the Starting Procedure on the Checklist states that "the fuelshocks must be ON to start the engine." The shocks are located on thethrottle quadrant but I get no response when clicking on them. Couldsomeone tell me if they are functioning in your aircraft?Thanks...GeorgeM at 5B6

Hello all,I noticed that ATC calls GMMN (Mohamed V airport in Morocco) "Mohamed Vee". I'd pronounce it "Mohamed Five". The Project Airbus A320 seems to be unavailable for download. Is this a normal thing to happen if too many people are downloading it at the same time or has it actually disappeared from the AVSIM file library??

Howdy.I've asked this question, before, but have not gotten an answer, only one person telling me that the leading-edge devices I was talking about were, infact, ailerons and not leading-edge flaps... (If you're wondering, they're actually variable camber leading-edge flaps. ;))Anyway, my question: I've installed Flight Sim 2002 on two computers and on each installation the default 747-400's outboard leading-edge flaps do not deploy. The middle and inboard ones do but not the outboards, closest to the wingtip. Is there something wrong with my installation or is this something wrong with the default 747 model?Thanks! :)

Does anyone know if there's a way to improve the quality of the Flight Video recordings that you can make within FS2002? Also, are there any programs available for converting the FS video file into Real Player or Windows Media format for replay?

Since this aircraft is powered by a radial engine, I have it aliasing to the default MS F4U Corsiar. I cringe at the thought of it sounding like a Cessna 182. Sorry about that but it saves so much on file size to alias. My personal favorite sound for her is the DeHavilland Beaver and it is a simple matter of changing the alias to get that. If you don't already have the Beaver, you may want to get a jump on the Duck's imminent arrival and download it now.

HII just installed the superb A320 panel by Giovanni Combattelli and Ruggero Osto ( Airpack3 plus Airpack31 upgrade ) into the PA A320.The bitmaps included with the upgrade for the internal views is where my problem lies. When I switch views I see the PA Virtual Cockpit overlapping the bitmaps from the new panel.I don't see the VC panel, just the 90 degree right and left interior views of the VC. Any help appreciatedGreg

For some reason I had always thought the FS2002 GPS was forced to use only VORs, NDB or aerodromes as waypoints. Then I realised that you could manually add any waypoint in you like just through editing the .pln file.I have been using the real world Airnav flight planner for quite a while now, but only recently bothered to try it's in-built GPS upload function (I don't have a GPS unit, I just wanted to see what would happen). When I looked at the Airnav output file for the real world GPS (it uploads in OziExplorer format which can be used for Garmin units for example), I realised that it would only need a utility written to convert that output into an FS2002 .pln that wil…

All the textures are gone in FS2002 and CFS2. You can see the planes and buildings, they just have no texture, just a gray color. Could someone please tell me how to fix this. I have posted this before and got no awnsers. Is there anyone you could recomend me to ask if you cannot help me.

Just got the 400 watt Altec Lansing 641 4.1 sound system for my birthday. As we speak, my gaming computer is in the shop with a fried mobo (thanks mother nature and your lightning with 100,000 amps of current), so I'm anxious to get it back and hook up the SB Audigy Platinum. Just listening to it on my mom's Compaq with a SB16 and some MP3s, it just blew my mind how hard this thing hits. I'm wondering if anyone else has this system and how they have their 4 satellite speakers arranged. I have limited desk (and room) space until I get back to school, so space saving ideas are appreciated.

Where can I find instructions on how to operate the real weather option in FS2oo2? I would like to know when to use the "global" weather option as opposed to "local". I downloaded the local weather option, and noted that my internet providor AOL was still running in the background, after the download was completed. Dear fellow sim fans,I'm debating upgrading my computer from a P4 1.5, 64MB Videocard and 512MB of RAM to a P4 2.53, 128MB Videocard and 512MB of RAM. My question is: will I see a noticable improvement in the performance of FS2002? Currently, it runs well except when I approach airports with lots of AI traffic and detailed buildings (SFO, MIA, ORD, LHR, etc...). Downloaded this bird here at Avsim and I think I got all the up grades for it too But can't fly it. It shows up in the select aircraft but when I go to fly now up pops a window saying it can't find it in the library. Anybody have an idea what the problem is. Finally decided to install some addon scenery, two airports in Italy for msfs2002 from Avsim. Each looks great when only one is loaded but when loaded both and tried to switch from one airport to the other for departure one would not be loaded. If I went into the "addon" scenery menu within msfs2002 and changed the file that was being selected than only that airport would load but is this typical? Can you only have one scenery operating and you must choose that one before you fly? Tried this many time with differnt addons but no luckThanks a lotJoe Hallstein

I have CH USB equipment which I love but it is not as reliable as I'd hoped for. I've been using it for almost 2 years now and the pedals keep on going out on me, even with FSUIPC etc,. I've used every trick in the book to right them, but they remain prone to going out on me. The yoke is good but it often fails to center exactly right. Bottom line is, I think I'd like to switch back to a yoke. But which one is best for FS2002? I used an MS Precision Pro in FS98 and FS2000 and loved it--it was superbly smooth and precise and reliable. Is there an equivalent to use in FS2002?Appreciate any views and advice, thanks!Js
