I'm finally going to do it. I'm going to fly around the world. I'm going to start with a tour of Europe though, and then we'll see where I go (east, south or west). I'll post screenshots of each leg in the screenshot forum. Because if my currently limited spare-time, the legs will be fairly short (two hours at most), and I'll only do a couple each week. So, which plane do you think is best suited? It's going to be a GA plane. I see no point in touring the world on autopilot at 48 000 ft.I have not bought any addon planes, so it will be one of the defaults, or a freeware addon. It must have a VC. Here are those I'm thinking of (if you know of any other plane that would be s…

First let me say that I feel your pain, the constant video hiccups/stuttering was driving me nuts. Fortunately I found a solution for my 2.2ghz P4 with 1 gig of ram, SB Audigy, and Ti4600 graphics. The November edition of Computer Gaming World features an article on how to "Speed Tweak Windows XP." I followed the five easy steps, and tadaa!! Yes there must be a God!

Hi folks.I have a CH Yoke and Pro Pedals (all USB) and have a question. Last night I was trying to disable the pedal toe brakes and either move it to a single brake (just one toe) or to a button on the yoke. Reason being is using the left/right brakes I can never get the plane slowed down in a straight manner, I always end up shooting all over the runway when trying to slow down. Looks silly and is annoying. The problem is, when I removed the binding to my pedals and tried to bind the brakes to a button on my yoke, it didn't work. The brakes couldn't be activated either by the keyboard (.) or by the yoke button. Tried for about half an hour to configure it correctly b…

I was wondering since I had to reinstalled FS2002 within the past month, I was flying in Europe and I noticed the time doesn't change between London Heathrow and Amsterdam Schipol or Paris Charles De Gaulle. I really don't remember if there was a problem with the timezones before. Can someone tell me if they are having the same problem? It should be 1hr difference. Also Rome, Frankfurt don't seem to change ethier. I also downloaded the timezone corrections and installed them into fs2002, still no difference. I would like to know if there is a problem with my new installation or if it is just a bug within the program.Thank You,Kurt

  12. I was wondering has anyone experienced this issue. I find that when running FS2K2 for any length of time, my frame rates will drop. What has worked for me is when using FSMetro, if the frame rates start to drop (when on a landing approach over a busy city, etc...) all I have to do is refresh the weather in FSMetro's menu and the issue is solved. My landings are as smooth as silk. I've been doing this over the last few months and although it cuts back on realism (swithing out of FS in mid flight to the desktop), my frame rate issue is not as problematic as before. I have a cable modem and I deffinently wouldn't recommend this as a solution for anyone with anything les…

I have read that an advantage of using fsuipc for joystick calibration is that there can be a non-linear response curve where the joystick response is less near the center and then increases. Thus, a more realistic "feel" and no null zone. The documentation talks about "advanced settings," but I cannot find that page in the current version of fsuipc (no advanced button).Any help in using this feature would be appreciated, as well as comments on the advantage of this non-linear approach. Thanks! Tom

Hi AllIm getting ready to order some goFlight stuff and am not sure if I should get the GF-45. I plan on getting the radios and the toggle switch module but wasnt sure about this one. Can someone give me some input on this one if you have it and what you are using it for. I probably could use it for a transponder but just was not sure since I would have radios and the new autopilot, what else could it be used for besides a transponder? If I understood correctly on an article it seems you can maybe control it via one of the t-8's or P-8's ??RegardsBobG

The rumor is that that Wilco's Airport 2002 Vol. 1 is going to be released on Monday, Oct. 14th. Is there any beta tester or even someone from the publisher that would like to comment on this product? Is it going to be an product that requires a background in computer science, or will it be something that is pretty self-explanatory to use? Just wondering,Paul

Wanting people's opinions on these 2 competing (kinda) products. Am using PAI and am pretty happy with it. I like the piece-by-piece installations and working with airport files myself, but I'm sure everyone is not that way and it seems that MyTraffic would be very useful to them. OR- Is the end result of the 2 programs different enough to compare one with another? OR does MyTraffic simply make AI traffic pain free, whereas PAI takes some effort from the end user?

Hi to all...........I have downloaded the ARIANE 737 PANEL, and put it into the default 737's...works great and is a nice panel..BUT...a second outline of a panel appears outside the ARIANE PANEL....not the whole panel, but on the right and left views there are images of window posts..just wondered if anyone can tell me how to clean it upu..the panel does fine with other than the default AC...I suspect that it has something to do with the virtual cocpit in the default 737's...any help sure would be appreciated.ThanksJIMT

My Microsoft FF joystick 2 died on me yesterday. I checked the USB and power connections and it appears either the transformer blew or something insde the stick itself blew. The light on the joystick is off as if it has no power. This is the second Microsoft Joystick that went on me. The first had a lose connection that forced me to hold the wire a certain way while flying. I am not thrilled in getting another Microsoft joystick, however I do like the Force feed and also liked the fact that throttle and rudder were on the same stick. I use my PC for other stuff and can't have a lot of stuff sitting on the desk such as a separate throttle etc.. Although Im open to any sugg…
