Is it possible and/or to use three monitors in FS2002 using such a program as 767PIC with one monitor being the main panel, the second being the overhead board, and the third being the throttle quadrant and what other panel-like displays there are? The Matrox card is out because it won't accept high resolutions when using three monitors, which is limiited to something like 900x600. I was thinking maybe a 4200ti, 4400ti, or 4600ti - all of which have the option of two monitor outs and another good PCI card for the third. If this is possible, how is it done? Thanks,RobbieI am sure that I am not the first who has had this cross his mind.

Hello, just wondering if anyone has downloaded Alberto La Greca really nice ATR42.... I have written Alberto asking if he has received any inquires about the handling of the aircraft. It seems to be a bit sensitive to JS/Yoke inputs,,, and I'm looking for a fix. I use an ATR72, IADG with flight dynamics developed by Alexander M. Metzger, that responds very nicely and am just looking for the same response from the ATR42.Can anyone help out??thankstommie [email protected]

Well, let me state first that I am certainly far from being an expert aircraft painter, but having downloaded several of my favourite airplanes over the course of several months, there has been one idea on my mind. That idea is for me to "customize" paint schemes on some of those aircraft insofar as to modify the default livery in such a way that the plane would be a virtual representation of how my own personal plane might look in the real world. This means that the modifications I would be doing if I decided to go ahead would be rather minor - such as replacing the tailcode with one specific to my country (Germany) and including some sort of "message", such as D-IMDM, fo…

Hi,I am just starting now ILS procedures in FS2002, having flown with FS2000 in the past without any problems .I am in trouble now with FS2002 ILS glide paths because when the autopilot brings-up the plane in long final stage, the ILS drives me on the left of the runway axis and, furthermore , doesn't control eight at all. What can I do ?Second question : I am looking for proper primer and Carburettor heat gauges to include in my modified FS2002 panels. Some fs2002 panels accept the gauges but they don't work at all. They regularly appear on the panel but clicking on them no movement is allowed . Why ?Thanx to allfranco

Does anyone have this problem? In my PIC/POSKY merged 767 the front gear always lands before the main gears! The airplane "floats" for some seconds over the front gear then the main gears land! What's going on???Cheers!

This is to few out there who are running MSFS2002 with a Radeon 9700 Pro. I got one last week and have had some troubles setting it up. It either doesn't display the textures clearly, it stutters like crazy using 4x AA and 16x Ansio, lowering the Ansio doesn't help, or ot freezes up completely :(Which drivers are you using? What settings do you have for Direct3D and OpenGL?Any tweaks, settings you're running that help? Thanks so much in advance, it's frustrating to say the least.

Has anyone experienced this before ???? I am about 5nm from the threshold and ATC tells me to make a left or right downwind and to approach the opposite end of the field. Example would be a flight I just did from krsw to ktpa and was told to approach 18R and ~5nm out I was told to make a left downwind and approach 36R. This has happened to me in the last week a few times. The things that are now new and installed in FS2K2 are.ATC is also terminating alot of ai flts because they fail to reply back to an ATC request.1. PAI files new planes2. Some new Flt plans3. Active Sky 2002 which is turned on4. Some new AFCAD files for KTPA,CYUL both of which use overlays.Any help would…

I have a GF4TI4200 dual head, but OpenGL performance looks bad using the same video board..maybe it's better to add another video card ?In my other computer I did some tests with Magenta and FreeFD and both runs fine, but I'm not sure what is the best panel setup I can get...any suggestion ?I'm not sure if I undock panel or if I use magenta...I was thinking in a setup like this:Machine 1:XP2000 GF4 2 monitorsFS + undocked panel (which panel / aircraft ?)Machine 2:PIII700 GF2 1 monitormagenta or FreeFDAny ideas please ?How to windows / FS re…

Hello all,Maybe this is a bit off topic but I really need to get this cleared up and this is the best forum to do so in the fastest time! :-)Ok, the format FS2002 displays your LAT/LON coordinates is as follows:N18 26.08W66 59.23But, in tools such as Terrabuilder, one needs to enter the coordinates as DD:MM:SSHow would I convert the coordinates above into the DD:MM:SS FORMAT? This is driving me nuts! Thanks in advance! Also, I once read a long time ago that one could add an entry into the FS2002.CFG file, which switched FS2002 into displaying a more complete LAT/LON and/or in DECIMALS... Anyone knows this hack?

Hardware related question for anyone running a LCD flatscreen display...I recently had the opportunity to try out the Samsung 191T with my system. The display has ranked highly among its peers, and with a listed <25 ms. pixel refresh rate, I was expecting great things for gaming. I fired up a FS2002 scenario in the woods of New Hampshire, and I was woefully disappointed at what I saw from this well thought of display. When flying or in motion, the autogen trees had a pronounced shimmer to them. The background terrain and sky looked good, but the trees were jumping off the screen (in a bad way). As I sit here tonight, I am wondering if this has to do with my video card a…

If I wanted to replace a gauge on a virtual panel with another, given that the aircraft model has a VI panel, how is this done? I note the section of the panel.cfg named [VCockpit01], and this list of guages and placement data points. Can any gauge be used in this context, or are gauges for VI panels somewhat special (not used for 2D cockpits)? Thanks,Bruce.

It was worth the excrutiating wait! The new VC and the V tail Bonanza are absolutely wonderful. I loved the deb before, the handling a flight characteristics are second to none...but now, with the VC, it has taken the number one position in my stable. Many, many thanks to Geof Applegate and James Eden for combining their talents to produce such a great sim. And t he bonus V-tail, what can I say, I takes me back to when I flew as photographer in Bonanza taking pictures of the snow markers above Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado (1961). Did wing pivots around the markers and the g-forces make aiming and focusing my camera almost impossible! Thanks again! Great Plane package.

Hey all,I have been having trouble getting any AI that I create show up. A member of this forum, Pete Chambers, has graciously taken the time to help me through a few areas, but we had been unsuccessful at getting my traffic straightened out. Until tonight! He sent me this quote from Lee Swordy's documentation:"I changed flight plans or aircraft and nothing changed in the AI world.Did you make a copy of the traffic.bgl file before making changes, and did you leave the copy in the same folder? FS2002 will often read the copied file, even if it has a different name, and will ignore the modified traffic.bgl file. This means that FS2002 will be running with all the stock AI …

I have an ugly habit of banging my tail hard on the runway or bouncing hard when landing some of the tail dragger planes. Do you fly tail draggers with realism turned up all the way? I know it takes some practice, but can you give me some tips on how to consistantly get a good "grease the wheels" landing with them? Thanks!

I have Panel Designer Pro, which is really nice for throwing those panels together, but what I really lack is a variety of different gauges to use. I'm not a gauge programmer. I could be if I wanted to, I know C++, but I don't want to take the time away from modeling aircraft to learn. If someone would put together a library of useful gauges that cover types not covered in the default package, I'm sure it would be well received. I know I'd pay for it. I'd especially like to see a variety of simple gauges for the older birds, both jet and prop. With the Concorde gone from FS2002, it really comes up short. Mike Stone
