Using default fs2002 panels on 3rd party aircraft has the annoying inconvenience that nav2 doesn't work at all and changing frequencies is allowed only on the active and not on the stby as in the default panel loaded with deafult aircraft. Editing aircraft.cfg file with the appropiate lines for the radios (eg: Nav.2=1, 1, 0 etc) doesn't change anything, nor copying the complete panel directory into the 3rd party aircraft directory. Also using some 3rd party panels with ad hoc guages is frustrating: many radios cannot be tuned at all...Someone can help me ? Thanks.

A DELL ULTRASHARP 18" LCD monitor. It shines like the North Star and the sharpness is amazing. Last week I suddenly HAD to get an LCD to try it out after two years of looking and wondering. I found this online and called DELL. The DELL salesman was a simmer and he said he had two of these monitors and that I'd love it. I got a nice discount and zero shipping costs. It arrived today. Weighs about 15 lbs and is thin and gorgeously designed. Beats my expectations by a fairly large margin. It makes my 21" TRINTRON look like a bit of a dullard. I am running FSNavigator and gauges on the LCD. It is totally breathtaking.When does this addiction stop!?JS

I'm in flight now in DF737 at FL300. As I fly and data is updated, my plane climbs and descends according to pressure changes. Since I have my altimeter set at 29.92 over FL180, shouldn't my plane stay at the same altitude? I played with the QHN transition rate, putting it to 100 to slow changes. How does pressure affect a plane's alt over FL180? I assumed it would stay at the same altitude.Any info would be great!Thanks, Adam :-zhelp

I will be purchasing mytraffic Friday and have all of the project ai downloads. I have not installed projectai yet and am wondering if they can work together. I see in another post that myflight uses pai aircraft so I am not sure if the schedules would conflict.

All,I am going to purchase a new Gateway 700XL and I am unsure of monitor choice. I can stick with the 18" LCD flat panel Display that is standard with this system or for $191, upgrade to a 22" Mitsubishi Diamondtron VX1120 model. This is a larger screen but the monitor itself is very large.Also, the system comes standard with the 128MB ATI Radeon 9700G PRO AGP card. There is no option. What's the experience of FS2K2 with this card ?Any information would greatly be appreciated.Frank Cunningham

hi there i recently bought the simflyers world airports package and when im looking in the gps i can see two airports. eg when flying around manchester on the gps i can see a defualt egss and the world airports egss. is there anyway that i can remove the defualt afcad so that i only see the world airports one. thanx in advance

Does anyone know what values to change to lock the zoom values for both the 2D and VC (different zoom levels) to a different default value? I have found some info about how to do it on the 2D, but not on the VC. Can this be done per plane or is a sim wide change? Kinda a pain to have to adjust that each time I get into a plane I fly via VC :)Thanks!

This is kind of relevant to my Fsimming - because it affects my Fsim website browsing and annoys me immensely!! :(I have been using Internet Explorer since version 3.2 -- and I have always been able to use the cache in the manner described in the cache settings . If you "go back" to a page that you previously downloaded, it gets all the files out of the cache and basically puts them onto the screen almost instantaneously --- WELL, that is the way it is SUPPOSED to work in Version 6 . But I am finding that mostly when I click "Back" -- it goes and downloads the page all over again , even though I have only just been to that page a couple of minutes before - this of cours…

Anybody know where to find AFCAD file for Bill Melichar's Honolulu PHNL honolu.zip ?? I have searched the avsim and flightsim.com but couldnt find one. I only found afcad for the default airport.Is there one made for this Honolulu scenery ? If not could someone make one please.Jani

I've just donloaded world ai version 2 and i'm in a dilema; do i go through the effort of redloading all my AI planes and import/export plans for this new version or do I keep on keeping on with world ai version 1? Questions, comments, suggestion......if you do post anything i'll reach through the computer slap you (joke).

All,I need some help, I have found that the ILS doesn't work correctly for a few of the airports in FS2002.The ones I have discovered so far are Liverpool(EGGP Only RWY9) and Cardiff(EGFF Both RWY12 & RWY30).The problem is that when I tune into the ILS I only get one ILS bar, normally you get two, a vertical and a horizontal. However I only get the vertial bar, which is rather like a VOR.Now I know I've tuned into the correct freqency, and I know how to use the ILS system, I've been flying with FS for over two years now.If anyone can shed any light on this it would be very welcome.Regards,Wac :-wave
