With the head latency effect in Active Camera Pro, I find landing more difficult. I have crashed or landed some way off near the middle of the runway quite a few times. While fine tuning on the joystick to center on the runway and height adjustment, the latency effect bounces the front cockpit view thus hiding the runway from site and also giving false sense of the height above the runway both which contributes to the failed landing.Shri

Well I knew I shouldn't but I just HAD to upgrade to DirectX 8.1. BIG MISTAKE! I can no longer run FS at all. Now I get an error message that "Microsoft Flight Simulator requires DX8a or higher. Please reinstall Microsoft Flight Simulator". I forgot to install DirectX in Safe Mode the first time and did it from normal mode. So I then did an install again from Safe Mode but I still have the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled FS2002 Pro but the problem is still there. It WILL NOT RUN! There is nothing else I can find on the MS knowledge base about this problem. So now what? Is there any way to fix this? Any registry keys I need to tweak?System: PIII 800 with 128mb…

I bought this add-on a while back and quit using it because every time I formatted my HD I had to email the author for an unlocking code. I recently decided to use it again to install all of my 3rd party add-ons so it could keep track of gauge files, etc so it would uninstall everything when I got rid of an aircraft. The problem is I emailed the author about 3 days ago for a new unlocking number and havent heard a word from him. Anyone else use this add-on and have any success or problems? Thanks,Craig

When sitting on the runway at night, the lights are small fine dots. But if I remove the cockpit (Shift+1) All lights become big blurrig spots. Why!. Is there a fix for the landing light. It's to white!Henrik

yesterday I installed the new directX version 8.1and from that moment FS2002 doesnt work correctly anymore.All the graphics are messed up and the screen is constantly flickering. ??????Does anyone know how I can correct this problem ? My friend has a problem with his FS2002... this happens all the time to him. Could anyone explain why? He uses a Asus GeForce3 Ti200 and 40.72 drivers.

I have an NVIDIA Geforce 2 TI card using the latest drivers (30.83). When I select antialiasing ON through the MSFS Display, Hardware dialogue, the all instrument panels are distorted. The distortion occurs when the panel is first loaded at start or the aircraft is changed, or when the menu bar is closed or any dialogue box is closed. I can be cleared by right clicking the mouse, which opens the "close panel" selection box. If you right click and close the box without selection, you distortion goes away.The distortion appears as a transparent pinkish-gray rectangle that covers most of the instruments allthough some are not effected. I came across a photo of this little plane the other day and decided I just had to make it. This has got to be the strangest looking bird I've ever seen. Proof to the world that it doesn't have to be pretty to fly. It's a barrel of fun to fly and makes a terrific bush plane. What do most folks use to control this aircraft? I recently removed my MS FF stick cause I wasn't using it anymore. Recently got a CH USB Yoke and Pro Pedals since I usually fly either the Cessna lights or Boeing liners, both of which really have a yoke. Now I am wondering if I should go ahead and hook the ole joystick back up to use on this aircraft. So do folks who usually use yokes switch back to a stick when flying this one, or do they stay with their yoke?Does anyone know if it's possible to use a MS FF joystick with CH Pro pedals? I assume this should work (will have to bind rudder to pedals instead of the stick rotational axis) but haven't tried it yet...Going…

Hi,I am somewhat confused: all over the place I see adverts for all types of "lanclass" and "mesh" files for certain areas. What EXACTLY are they, what is the difference? On simmarket, they offer so-called developers' packs with landclasses for almost any area of the world - does that mean I have to develop smthg myself (which I don't know how to;) ) or can I use them right away? Unfortunately, there aren't any screenshots, wo I don't really get an idea for what these files do. Final question: are they compatible with add-on scenery? I've got the blue horizon problem with sky set to overcast, and I've decided it's time to fix it :)I've got visibility set to 60 miles in FS, and 20 for cloudy/overcast and 60 for clear skies in FSUIPC.
