Has anyone done a Tiger for 2002? Freeware or commercial? I have an older one in my files, but its graphics and handling don't 'cut it'.Am thinking of buying one for real, and would love to 'test fly' it first!!

I've been flying the excellent Sf 260 lately and couldn't fail noticing that the pilot seemed a bit chubby...Not wanting an unfit pilot flying an aerobatic plane I thought long and hard of ways to get him in shape. My solution:Active Cam Pro!This excellent utility allows among other things virtual jogging and I must admit that after a few laps around the LGAV circuit(in a rather lower than usual altitude...) I noticed my pilot had actually shed some weight! I think the fs world is finally ready for a virtual Gym addon for all us out there too bored to visit a real Gym... :( Who knows maybe in time we could even get a full TheSims addon :-erks You know one with various ent…

I am looking to replace my faithful six-year old 15" Sony monitor on my gaming machine. It still works great; I just want something larger and easier to see at higher resolutions. With all the new FS2002 panels coming out, I need to upgrade! What monitors do you guys and gals suggest? I want to stick with a CRT, no larger than a 19", and in the $300-$400 range. I currently run a Geoforce 3 TI-500 video card. Thanks in advance.Tony

To all,We would like to thank the FS community for the feedback, suggestions, and remarks regarding Active Camera Pro. It seems lot of simmers enjoyed Active Camera Pro. It was a huge beta testing and thanks to the feedback we could improve quickly this small utility during the last 3 days. We did our best to provide a (hopefully) good support, although it is not a commercial program. Some suggestions are still resting in the basket (walking sounds, aerodynamics noises, airborne view for the spotters, etc.) but we limit the development at version 1.2. We have now more serious work queuing. Active Camera Pro has been developped "a bit for the fun" by enthousiasts for the en…

Dear Fellow Flight Simulation Ethusiasts,As a member of the Project Airbus forum too, I decided to undergo a project, requesting all aviation enthusiasts to put in their two cents on what improvements they'd like to see in future versions of Flight Simulator. Now I'm asking everyone on here for their suggestions. Please post them here and for further details see the following URL: http://www.the-wu.org/cgi-bin/paforum/YaBB...;num=1032393657Thank you and I can't wait to hear your suggestions. Also, if people from the AVSIM seniority could forward their ideas, it's sure to capture Microsoft's attention.Regards,C-GTGK

Been over in the desert for the last 3 months, and haven't been able to keep up with Avsim, or flight simming in general. What new downloads/programs have I missed? Looking mainly for utilities, sceneries, new aircraft (payware or freeware).Hope everyone had a good summer, the flying in the middle east is a little different, controllers sometimes are hard to understand. Did get intercepted by a dutch f-16 flying from germany to iceland, very cool. Will post a pic when I get it on disk. Thanks for any inputs,Lobaeux

This has been bugging me lately and i am going to go ahead and ask. When you get a download specifically scenery, do you load it up and fly around it a bit. Even actually read the readme about the goodies inside maybe land and taxi around and then move on and wait for that next great download or do you actually keep going back to it? This includes the good with the bad. Kind of like the ol' Christmas analogy of the toys you got on Christmas morning. You played with them like crazy for a while and then kind of left them in the closet eventually. Just personal curiosity folks ;-) I kind of fit in with the Christmas analogy myself :-roll

I installed the first version of active sky earlier in the week. Since then I have a problem with internet explorer 6. When I click on a hyperlink that opens a new window, the new URL isn't regisitered - I therefore left with a blank window. If I try the repair facility for IE, there is no change. On changing IE back to v5 everything works again, but when I then re-download and install either version 5.5 or 6, the problem re-appears. I remember reading something about a .dll file in the readme of active sky - could this be the cause of the problem. Unfortunately version 1 0f active sky has gone from the library and the latest version's readme doesn't mention about t…

Hi friends,I was painting a hybrid 747-400, but I got stumbled with the tail. This is my first attempt at painting and I hope you will point out my mistake. I have painted only the tail and haven't started with the fuselage.1. This is my 7474bdyl.bmp which I converted back to 8 bit. ( I use Photoshop 6)http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d9f427a7e928318.jpg2. This is my 7474bdyr.bmp which I converted back to 8 bit.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d9f42b37f4b5354.jpg3. Though I painted Virgin on the Right sided textures, when I launch FS2K2, it gets displayed on the left part of the tail. How is that?http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d9f42ed7fcad45…

I just noticed that one of my planes a Mike Stone B727 floats slightly above the textures at CYUL . The wheels are above the ground so you can see light underneath the tires. How do you change the settings in the air file to compensate for this. I usually use air ed.Thanks for any help anyone can offer

And if you completed a flight today, where to, and which plane did you use? Here are my stats (from the bottom of my .LOG file):Day: 316.0 Night: 135.7 Instrument: 1.6 TOTAL: 451.7I just landed at Boston's Logan Intl airport aboard the POSky A330 in Lufthansa colours, coming from Frankfurt. Took a northerly routing across the Faroe Islands, Iceland and the southern tip of Greenland before going feet dry over North America on the Newfoundland coast. Flight time was roughly eight hours (a little over two hours in real time with 4x time acceleration, which, of course, I applied only after takeoff and until landing :-) ).

I use two large TRINTRONS for all FS2002 views right now and they are gorgeously clear, but they are huge, heavy, and bulky. I am thinking about getting a 15" or 17" DELL LCD. But will an LCD display text for things like FSNavigator clearly and consistently? Can you use an LCD for outside or spot views too? Or for gauges?Appreciate any views and opinions, thanks!JS

To all Active Cam users. Is Active Cam supposed to remember it's settings or am I the only one having to reset them every time I start FS? Every time I start FS I have to setup the configurations. It seems to me that I shouldn't have to do that. Also, can anyone explain to me the head latency numbers? what do they mean? I read a previous post that said a setting of 3 was the best but I don't know why. What exactly is head latency and is 5 more or less then 1? What does it do to the effect. I set mine at 3 and it is really something but I just would like to know what the numbers mean. I love the feeling it gives. Now we need more aircraft with virtual cockpits to use it with…

Dont know what I did, when I try to run FS I get initial black screen, then the resolution switch and a big black screen with the FS mouse (which moves) and nothing else happens. I have had no problems prior to this at all. last thing I did was to install the PAI Southwest autoinstall traffic file. I have renamed the traffic.bgl to the original and uninstaled the SW add on. Any ideas? Computer is hung on the black screen with moveable MSFS mouse and cant do anything else, must reset to get back usable system. Using GF4 Ti4200, WIN 98SE, 512mb DDR, Athlon 1.4ghz. Everything else appears to run normally. Not looking forward to a reinstall.Hornit

Anyone with some pointers on this one, have at it. When I go into my weather page to change weather data (clouds, winds, etc.), I cannot get it to stay at those figures. I hit OK and the Vis. changes, but I then go back into the weather page to change them again and the following datas go back to thier original setting. Vis: Unlimited and height is 99999 Ft. Wind: Height of wind is 99999 Ft. I've never had this problem until a few days ago with no changes to the FS files. I kow what I must do if I cannot fix it though...UnInstall.Anyone with some input???Thanks Ed Jenkins

Ok- here's the problem. My brother and have two of the same computers. I for months have been using FS2002 and whenever I put the simulation rate up past 4x (i.e. 8x and 16x) and then go back down to 4x, Fs2002 usually goes to a black screen and reloads everything which then in turns usually puts my plane in overspeed. I thought this was normal. My brother just installed it on his computer last week and he can go up to 16x and back down without that loading screen...Any help or info why this is happening to mine?ThanksRobbyG

Does anyone know if the SDK that will come with CFS3 _finally_ export enough data to allow a multiple-computer exterior view system (something like WideView) to show other aircraft in the area? tnx.g.-- http://www.f15sim.com - The only one of its kind.
