Sometimes when I load an aircraft I can't get the throttles to close...they remain wide open. I've tried reloading FS2002 and it still stays the same. This particular problem occurs randomly and with no particular aircraft. I've checked everything I can think of including FSUIPC and can't seem to rectify it. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks in advanceCraig Evans

I would appreciate some help with a problem I just encountered.I've spent the past few days reinstalling FS2002 but earlier I attempted to start the program and got the following message: "Building indexes for new facility files. This process will take a few minutes." then FS crashes back to the desktop.I've installed several scenery packages so I'm not sure which one is causing the problem but does anyone know how to solve this? In hindsight I should have checked after each installation to ensure FS2002 runs but I was in a hurry to get the sceneries installed.THanks for any suggestions.

I uploaded a couple of scenery files of the California Central Coast: CCCOAST2.ZIP and CCC2REV1.ZIP some time ago. I'm working on another upload (CCC2REV2.ZIP) and finally noticed that my e-mail address in the README.TXT files with those two uploads is INCORRECT! It is actually [email protected] had stupidly used a composite of my old, and my current, e-mail address in those README's.To anyone that tried to send me an e-mail regarding that scenery I most sincerely apologize.Al [email protected]

Made the plunge, purchased DF 737 and the America West livery from Ariane. Used the merge from Ariane, took one flight, worked like a champ. Now I've got one question (sure I'll have more later). Finally, the registration number, as typed in on the aircraft setup in FS2K2 menu, shows up on the aircraft. It shows up in black, but the red registration numbers are also present on the fuselage. Anyone know how we can remove the permanent numbers to allow the user specified registration number to only show?Thanks,LobaeuxBTW, this Ariane model rocks!! I'm not dissing Perfect Flight or anything like that, but I just wanted to state that I think their Grumman S2-E/S2-A Tracker is way overpriced. $22.50 for a medium detailed aircraft? The gorgeous Dreamfleet Cardinal is superdetailed and has a top-quality panel set, and it costs 45 cents more. Same thing with the amazing C421 by Flight1. What about the Archer by Dreamfleet? $19.95. All of FSD's planes are a few dollars cheaper for more than twice the quality... Commander 115 and Piper Cub - $15; Cheyenne 400LS - $17.50; Seneca V - $18.50. Etc. etc... you get my point. i was wonderong to operate FS2002 do i need to have the cd in the drive or does it run without it? i think i read it doesn't somewhere that it doesnt require it but im not sure

Hi allAnyone know if it is possible change the runways flightsim allocates for t/o and landings at any given airport. The reason i ask is that i recently flew into salzburg and was informed by atc to use runway 34 - even though runway 16 is generally be used for landings and 34 for t/o's.It would also be nice to change the allocated runways used at heathrow.CheersGary

I have PIII 800 w 512 ram and nvidia 2 64mg video card. I can't get to 10FPs at any major airport unless i turn AI and ATC down to 25%. Does project AI help frames enough that i can increase the percentages in any meaningful amount??? Any help on getting better performance while still being able to use a higher AI percentage. BTW my visibility is at 10 miles and autogen is low as well as dynamic scenery.Thaanks one and all for help

With the "no reload on GPS flightplan" thingy in FSIUP, you can go to flightplanner enroute, select the closest airport, your destination, and you can file IFR, and pick up a popup clearance to your airport...its pretty neat I thinkI was enroute from meigs to oshkosh testing the stock baron with the garmin530 of the c421 (neat actually) and I had active sky loaded and all of a sudden oshkosh was overcast (poor flight planning) and so I had to file a pop up IFR and it worked!I am on vectors right now, I should go check if ATC chicky is talking to mepeace y'all

AllI love this product but I noticed something the other day that I dont remember happening before. The props on the AI during taxi, seem to spin at about 60 rpm's. It looks like they are just blowing in the wind. Is this a new feature?BobG

I havent seen any comments or posts about vfr photographic scenerysince its releaseI have the first release east and south east england,and cannot imagine flying anywhere else,its everybit as good if not better than they say,Flying at 2000 to 3000 ft you see golfcourses,parks , rail ,lines,freeways ,rivers the lot, even you own house,and the scenery is clearer than any i have used with no blurries ,a bit expensive but worth every pennyIlive in Australia and had it delivered within four days ,i used a company called computermate,their service was next to none.May i say i have no connection with any of the above except for being a satisfied customer Donwindows xp homenvidi…

jerrycwo4I cannt belive that I've been flying with Flight Sims for 4 years and reading this form for at least 2 years, but I have NO idea what AFCAD is or what it does ???? ( I do NOT have any of the new AI programs). Maybe that's the reason? What is AFCAD and what does it do? I guess that I'm pretty happy with my system with out it but I am always trying to improve it. (like I now have 4 differant programs 'pumping' SOUNDs into my Fs2002 at the same time.)Jerry

Hi All,Long time reader, first time poster. THought I'd get more active in the community. Anyways, all the screenshots i take are in 1152x1024, the resolution i have the game at. Is there a freeware tool to convert the screenshots to the forum rules of so many by so many pixels? Or is there a manual way to do this? Thanks for the help,Funky
