While sitting dead center on runway 6, the ILS instrument shows the runway to be the left. Shouldn't this line be perfectly lined up in the middle? If I had been keeping the line dead center on the approach, I would have surely missed the runway. Is there a known problem with the KDCA ILS settings in FS2K2? More importantly, is there a way to correct it somewhere within a FS2K2 config file?Keith

Hi GangWhen you download and install new drivers dose it reconfigure your settings you had in the Video card properties, all your little "tweaks", etc. I just installed the Nvidia 30.82 (I think thats what they are) drivers and it seems like all my settings are gone that I had FS2002 working good Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?Regards,-ShaneCYHZ

  10. Michael, I emailed you after being instructed by you in this forum to do so. That was 11/20/02 in the afternoon. I have pre-paid for Airport 2002 v.1 and have still not received it. I sent you the order confirmation dated Oct. 29th. I am posting here since I have never heard from Wilco after using the online product support submission form or the personal email I sent to you yesterday. I requested that you overnight the product to me to make good on the promise to get it to me early. Wilco's initial promise was to get it to me before the non-pre-paid buying public. That promise is all but a joke to me. I still don't have the product and have to sit by day-after-friggin'-d…

Aaaah I feel good...For me, EGLL was always a "no go airport". I needed to use Gatwick, Luton or Stanstfeld to do flights from London, even though I would have looved to do them from EGLL...The thing was, the airport was a huuge FPs killer (I use 100% AI with an AFCAD file that makes the airport fairly crowded). So, before finding I slide show, I prefered not to fly there at all. Same with KLAX.All other aiportors worked just fine. by fine I mean like 18-20 FPs, but never below 15.but this time I figured out what to do. First, I got rid of the extended textures. I mean, at FL370 I don't usually take a look at the view, except if there are mountains, etc....and then..a sim…

Hi,Maybe someone has an idea what exactly could be causing this. The V/S bug in the lear panel, all of a sudden, did not move any longer. I could still change the displayed value in the panel but it did not matter for the autopilot and the V/S bug did not move. (It did still work in the default 737 panel!)Backing up fs2002.cfg and deleting the file and then starting FS2002 solved the problem. When I compared the two files, I did not see anything obvious that may have caused this behaviour. Sections in these two copies of the file are in different order, but that should not matter I'd think.Does anyone have an idea what entry in the .cfg file may be the culprit ?Thanks,Sig…

In February 2002, I moved to Bayville, Long Island, NY, which is on the north shore between Glen Cove and Oyster Bay.It's at the limit of the cable system, so my signal is not so good. It's at the limit of the Nextel 'phone system coverage, so my cellphone doesn't work. It's on an exposed beach, so it floods occasionally. It's a long way from the LIE (possibly a good thing)It doesn't have a station (also possibly a good thing)But worst of all .......it doesn't seem to feature in any of the landclass packages I have tried in FS2002! All I see is trees! You can imagine my horror and disappointment. I've hovered, I've GA'd, I've even taken an F-16 through the district at 100 f…

Hello everyone.I see all those lovely AI BMI Traffic screenshots and Ive just downloaded some really good flightplans.Project AI used to have a BMI fleet in their unnoficial repaints section a few months ago and now i cant find them. They had theA320A321A330737s etc in a zip file and I would love to get a copy of it.So any idea where i could get them from or even for someone to send me the zip file.I notice some people use FSPainter aircraft too, Are they more frame rate hungry than the default PAI aircraft? as if anyone has FS Painter versions of BMI planes Id like them too.Ive got a ERJ 145 so far

I've just been doing some of my real navigational flight revision on FS, using VORs. A really good way to test if your using the VORs correctly is go to the "Ingenika" Airport in the mountains. It's got a excellent mesh scenery (default) allowing one to fly a cool circuit. The airport itself is up on a cliff, near a river which runs through out the mountains.I was able to do revision on different inbound/outbound courses, wind correction using VORs which were approx. 100nm away hehe. I ended up eventually flying right over the VOR i was using throughout my whole flight. Its kinda challenging flying over such a remote area, and using a beacon thats MILES away.Try it out.Wil…

I've been an avid flight simmer for many years, and I've had FS2002 since it's release. Just recently I purchased IL-2 Sturmovik and for the first time in my life I've truly understood what real flight feels like! When you play it for a few weeks you really begin to appreciate the massive gap between the accuracy of the flight modelling between FS2K2 and IL-2, and wonder why M$ don't get their act together in that regard!Look-up tables are an outdated way of modelling aircraft physics, and I'm going to threaten to bad-mouth Microsoft's upcoming flight sim series from FS2004 onwards until they improve the flight modelling in their sims.In general I find FS2002 quite enjoya…

I downloaded a panel, decided I liked a previous version better, so deleted, and ran gaugeclean V3... I am pretty well running a "stock" setup with the PSS panels... gaugeclean has come back with a PILE of gauge files, pretty well all relating to the MS aircraft.Example are:737-400.airspeed.gau737-400.flaps.gauSimilar entries also exist for the lear, and cessnas..in all it came back with 277 gauge files NOT being used...I am a little confused at this... can anyone confirm if this is accurate?? The panels all still "seem" to work the way they used to..Thanks in advance,Chris

I just sold my Geforce3 Ti500 and got a Radeon 9700 Pro (Connect3D).The rest of my system: AthlonXP 1900+, 512MB PC2100 DDR, Epox 8KHA+ KT266A mobo, 120GB Western Digital "SE" 7200 RPM driveFirst impressions:FS2002 looks sweet with 6x FSAA and 16X Anisotropic filtering :D This is my new default setting for FS2002, at a resolution of 1024x768 (could probably go higher but then I wouldn't get 100 Hz). With my GF3, the settings that worked the best were 2x AA and Level4 Anisotropic filtering. The image quality improvement is significant.FS2002 plays much smoother. While it still bogs down at major airports/detailed cities (CPU limited), it's now extremely smooth most of the …
