I am trying to do a textbook perfect landing every time I fly and the only plane that I can do that with is the Cessna C-172SP Skyhawk and that is the only plane I can do a picture perfect landing in all the others I am comming in either to fast or to slow any suggestions on how I can fix my problem?

jerrycwo4Use causion when you check that item in FSUIPC where it will NOT take to back to the begaining point on a flight plan. I usually always fly from the 'saved flight plans' in the "Flight Planner". With the above item checked, the selected saved flight plan would NOT load, but kept defaulting to the default Meigs. When I went into FSUIPC and UN checked that item, then the saved flight plan loaded. If you use the above method to try to change your flight plan while in flight ( that item has to be checked so that it wil take or load your new destination). Just remeber to UNCHECK that item when you finish or you will NOT be able to load any other flight plan.jerry

I remember some threads on this topic before. Recently,I notice that FS2K2 ATC often change runway after switchingto tower at final. It appears something related with weathergeneration add-on like FSMETEO with real time weather updateoption enabled. Option in FSMETEO to lock destination weatheris also enabled with distance value 60NM but still it happens.No parmanent solution for this problem? Even if not, whatwill be the second best to rectify this anoying issue.Thank you

I just downloaded the latest AIRAC files ( first time I used this type of file!), but I can't seem to find out where they should be installed,could someone help, please?

This has probably been addressed here before but has anyone had trouble with atc sound suttering and cutting out. Ive searched the form but found nothing . Any help would be appreciated. My system is a PIII 1gig with sound blaster gamer sound card.

I have a Nividia GeForce 2 Gts Pro Ultra video card. Is anyone using this card and if so what nvidia driver are you using. Have Dell pentium 3; 1ghz, 256 meg ram. I see there is a new 40.72 released the 11th.. Some say get 1241 or 2080 for my card.Thanks in advanceChuck

CH Control Manager.This appears to be a useful utility. I don't know about the rest of you but I am finding it hard to understand how best to use it.My controllers are the Flightstick, the 3-levered Flight Sim Yoke and the Pro Pedals. All work fine simply by plugging into a USB port. Windows XP supplies the drivers. They are calibrated for use in FS2002 using FSUIPC.I have 2 USB ports installed on a FRONTX Panel that sits in an unused bay on the front of my desktop unit - very useful as it saves all that guddling around the back.What I would like to do is have my pedals connected permanently in a rear USB port but I have found that their presence interferes in games that …

Well guys I'm taking a break from my 767 and I want to make some flights with a Beech aircraft. How does the autopilot works with this kind of aircraft? In Boeing and other jet aircraft for a basic flight you just need to set your altitude, speed and heading and you're ready. But the a/p on prop aircraft ins't that obvious. Can you guys help?Cheers!

First of all, I use a rather fast system: 1.8 GHz processor, 512 DDR Ram, nVidia mobile 64 Mb, 30 Gigs HD.When I fly with either one of the PSS aircrafts or DF 737 or Wilcos 767, I get 25 fp with German Airports, about 10-14 with the highly detailed simflyers airports and just maximum 8 at any Wilco airports 2002!This is on a "Wilco deserted airport" without any static aircraft with scenery complexity set to dense or very dense. When I set it to extremely dense, I see very nicly made static aircrafts, but the scenery degenerates definitely to a bad dia show with frame rates between 2,5 and 5, this is not longer flyable with any other plane than Microsofts default Chessna …

Can you tell me if the METAR data is worldwide (i.e. I fly a lot in northern Norway - is that fully covered insomuch as reporting stations exist there)? I did a search to see if others had mentioned the appearance that you were moving too slowly in FS2002 (relative to the ground) especially when flying close to the ground.I didn't find anything, however, as a Private Pilot, it does indeed appear to me that the relationship between the indicated airspeed and the speed at which the scenery beneath any plane passes is somewhat distorted.I have a 1.333 GHz machine with a GeForce2 MX400 graphics card.They do a really good job. However, I wonder how much difference one of the newer, faster video card makes on the simulation appearance andif changing to a newer, faster card would also improve this? Or, is this a FS2002 issue? …

Hi all,When I try to download SID/Star's by FS Navigator I get a connection lost message after a while. First the program connects, then he is receiving airport list and then that message appears. i have a ADSL connection and FS2002 is in windows mode. Hi gang,First let me explain that I am not a real pilot, not even many rides in light GA aircraft, nor am I a talented FS2002 driver. My grandson, as long as it is daylight can fly/land much better then me. Go to night time and we win.What I need is a starting position with the aircraft in an "unusual attitude position" Right now I could use a flight with the starting position being in a light GA aircraft in a spin. Place the aircraft in a spin and then pause and save the flight. Does everyone experience the base texture showing thru at dusk and dawn instead of the airport grass texture? At dusk and dawn, the grass at my airports disappears and the texture beneath shows instead so I often have city night lights on the ground instead of grass. It's very distracting and makes it very difficult to see the runway when I land at dusk or dawn. Is this a problem for everyone, or is it just me? Is there a fix for it? ThanksRay

It appears we are all in agreement that Lago provides the best framerate scenery than SimFlyers. Wilco is a hit on fps.We need a Gmax scenery creator for all of us like Abacus had for FS2000 etc...My favorite Scenery add-on was for FS4 which came with the 747. So easy.Tim

I have an hdtv ready mitsubishi with a 16*9 screen aspect ratio. Is it possible to hook a computer system and use the screen to display flight sim, or other computer images for that matter? btw, for TV, even short of hdtv, the images are spectacularly clear and sharp. thanks...sherm
