I just had to end a flight because my FPS dropped way down and the sound started to vibrate/stutter - if that makes sense. Up until this point the system has been working brillaintly.I was using one of Radar Contacts v.2.2 sample (KDFW to KMIA) with DreamFleet 734. Everything was going great:I had the FMC minimized and had done a Direct-To and a couple deviations for weather, altitude changes etc. I was just about to enter a holding pattern with ATC for the first time. :-yellow1 Then, suddenly, FPS drop and sound started to reverberate and sound tinny (for lack of a better description) :-8 . Good Morning (at least here it is) I had downloaded the tool a while back for eval and never really took a serious look at it. Recently I reformatted my drive and reinstalled the OS and FS and decided to take a serious look at FSNavigator again. Im not sure if this is an anomoly but my initial install prior to my reformat all the screens within FSNAV had a white background. This time they have a blue which I think is an excellent improvement in contrast. But unless im loosing it both versions where 4.51. Anyone have any input as to why Ive seen 2 different colors using the same version? TksBobG

I have upgraded my computer to an AMD 2100 processor and added a gForce4 4200 with 128 meg of ram now when I fly I can't see the taskbar at the top of the page when I hit the alt key.Seems I read something about this problem here before but I can't recall what it said.Please post the solution to this if anyone knows.Thanks in advance.

I pre-order downloadable software because:1. Discounted prices (even though I'm extremely wealthy it's a conservative thing)2. Trust in a company's previous works (trust is still a commodity)3. The brand new Socata has a little "bug" in the aircraft.cfg file that removes the textures and panel...Open up this file with Notepad and remove the entries for panel= and texture= and, presto all is well..Nice looking plane BTW.. now lets go and fly!

Recently I replaced my system with an all singing, all dancing computer that included the Radeon 9700 graphics card. It ran FS2K2 with everything at maximum at frame rates so high I am too embarrassed to admit to them here. The only snag is my flight was limited to a maximum of about five minutes before a system crash or screen freeze (requiring a system reboot) occurred. Every other program on my new computer ran with amazing speed and without a hitch (72 Paint Shop Pro thumbnails displayed on my monitor faster than my eyes could reach the bottom of the screen) except of course the program that mattered, FS2K2.Today, following a week of trying everything I know, not t…

I was wandering whether it has something to do with my graphics card. If i replace my current 32mb card with a 128mb card what would the difference be??? For example, if i had 3fps in a dense area such as Heathrow (with a lot of AI aircraft) how much can i expect to get with a better card, would it be significant??

I was wondering if anyone could help with constant speed props. I'm flying the default cessna 182, baron, and caravan. I was wondering what the setting should be for best range/speed if possible. ALso it would be nice to know what the throttle should be set at. Mark

The Real Simulations SF260 has to be one of the best payware addons to FS2002. I have no complaints about it what so ever. The following is an inquiry, and if no one has an answer for it, then fine. I will continue to fly it and get hours of hours of fun.In regards to the force feedback controls: Does anyone experience severe heavyness when rolling the aircraft? When I roll the SF260 it becomes very difficult to roll it back up right. I am wondering if there is a way to edit the force feedback portion of the aircraft file to get it to feel more smooth. Or is this how the aircraft behaves in real life...Thank you very much for the tips.

Hi,I was at my computer yesterday, when receipts for items that I did not purchase started to fill my mail box. Someone in Denmark managed to get my password, to a well known company in the USA, that is a go-between for buyers and sellers of items on the internet. They got me for $274.00 USD before I got them stopped. I had to cancel my credit card to stop them. Do any of you fine folks know how they did this, and is there anything that can be done to stop them?
