Has anyone seen this behavior.I load a flightplan from Stansted England to Glasgow or from Luton to Glasgow or from Gatwick to Glasgow (I havn't check all over the UK). Use the new Fokker 70, British Midland textures, RCV3 and turn on FSMETEO. About every 15 secs I get a pause, causing a significant reduction in framerates (from 20 down to 1). This last for just a second. The effect occurs throughout the entire flight. However, if I turn off FSMETEO, the effect goes away---completely. This never occurs for any flights that I take within the US or Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Does anyone have a clue?Just curious.Jim

I just installed the snow effects and noticed that the strobe and beacon lights flash rate increased tremendously (like you has FS on 4X rate). I assume it has to do with the changes made in the effects .cfg file. I changed it back to the old one and the lights were back to normal but not sure if the snow effect will work now. Has anyone else noticed this?? Thanks.

So far all I have done is install the PAI stuff. Its pretty good but what I would like to do is have some of my add-on aircraft show up as AI, especially some of the general aviation types. How do i go about making the add-on aircraft to be used as AI? If I download some of these newer AI aircraft, like aardvark's then how do I add them to AI? This was working....I noticed my rear speakers were not working, don't know what happened. I d/l the sblive software from creative. No problem, done it a hundred times. All is well with sound and speakers now. But when I went to fly on vatsim, I noticed that now everything I say into the mic is coming over the speakers. I never was like that. RW still works when I key it up. It's very annoying to hear myself breath. I tried to mute the mike as suggested at the RW web site, but when I do that the mic no longer works. I wish I could remember how it was set up, but I can't. Any suggestions?

On my system the wings are different colors on each side. 1 side is much darker then the other side.Anybody else notice this or is it just me?Thanks!Shane

Is there any way to use the Dreamfleet interiors (cockpit, views, fmc...) with the default 737? I didn't like the Dreamfleet 737 model very much, it looks great but thrust reverses don't work, the gear weels are static...Maybe something like the PIC/POSKY merger?Cheers!

Out of the blue yesterday FS2002 won't get past the splashscreen. You can hear the HD chug away for a minute or so, but nothing past that. I have defragged the drive, remove/re-installed a scenery package to get it to redo the scenery indexes. Re-installed Mytraffic to get it to redo the traffic.bgl... and nothing works. I had a wonderful flight yesterday morning. When I came back later in the afternoon it would not start.Is there a way to debug to see what it is hanging on? Other than that, I guess it is time to uninstall everything in FS and start all over again... With all that crap I have, there goes a good day of work!Thanks,JohnnyKTUS

Ran into a Severe thunderstorm system about 10 minutes after take off, and decided to fly back, and land at my home airport.Final was insane with winds switching directions constantly. Iwas able to hold runway alignment, but as I crossed the End of the runway a suden downforce of air Flattened my plane against the runway. If I would have been expecting a downburst I may have avoided the reuslting accident. can't wait to get up, and practice some true bad weather flights.Thanks For the great software.!Al

Wow, I just bought a 21" monitor on Craig's List for $100.00. Figured that was a fairly small risk factor in case it was washed out or on its last legs. What a difference the big monitor makes to flight simming. Readable gauges, runways that are visible from 15 miles out, a real sense of immersion. So, bigger is better!

In the Instrumentrating Checkride I do fine until after I reach PARKKand turn to heading 160 towards Seattle VOR. I reach the VOR and get established on the 140 radial. After this I either is told that I failed or I don't hear anything more from my instructor. Has anyone passed this checkride and can tell me exactly what should I do after MA and PARKK and what is supposed to happen? I assume that I'msupposed to be told to turn left to heading 320 towards NOLLA but this never happens.

Spent the last several days flying the RG update Dreamfleet made avail over the weekend. All I have to say, is imagine if this quality aircraft had been included with FS2002! I don't give the default Cessnas any attention any more. From the inside and out, I think the 177 has the 120-160KIAS single piston genre perfect. If anyone has ever been on the fence about this, or is thinking of a Christmas gift for a simming fan, it's a worthwhile aircraft to get. Thanks once again to the Dreamfleet team. I have a problem can anyone guide me in the right direction. In FS 2002 when I turn on anti-aliasing the programme locks up. I am running a P4 2.2 GHz, 512mb Ram with a Gainward TI 4600 (750GS). Other than the obvious, that being not to turn on anti-aliasing can any one help.

Hello everyone! I'm blown away by all the freeware I'm getting for FS2002! Next, I'm wondering if someone can direct me to a good planner for filing flight plans and setting up routes etc. It's kind of tedious within FS2002. A program that would load altitudes, fixes, times etc. would be ideal. I just haven't found it yet. Just wondering...anyones help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I see there is a new posting at this forum re changing IRQ's in WIndowsXP. My problem is with Windows98.My new system is up and running well and stable after all the initial hassle I reported on and received much offered advice (New Video Card Disaster). However my video card and sound card are both occupying IRQ11 whereas IRQ5 is free. I would like to move my sound card to IRQ5.I have tried changing the IRQ settings in the AWARD BIOS - no effect. I have to say, I'm astounded!!!Purely by accident, I've come across an aircraft where the reverse thrusters actually reverse the plane! My understanding was that this wasn't possible in FS2002. Apparently it is.There's no mention of this feature in the readme files that come with the plane and I can only assume that it has something to do with the enormous level of power in the engines.Unless I'm missing something obvious here, I'd suggest that someone who knows a lot more about .air files than I do, take a look and find out why this plane manages to do what I've seen no other plane in FS2002 manage - go backwards when reverse thrusters are applied from a standstill.EDIT:…
