Okay, this is a new one. FS starts up with no problem, but when I go to created a multiplayer session, and click on HOST, so I can start SB and log on to VATSIM, FS crashes. And its a clean crash right back to the desktop. No error, no "Not Responding" nothing. The only recent changes I have made was instaling a new aircraft with custom sounds, gauges and panels. Hi Tom,Since we're on the subject of signatures, I notice that there is a growing trend of virtual advertising within some signatures on this and other forums. For instance supporters of some payware products are incorporating that product into their signatures. Effectively this is free advertising.So far we have been scrupulous not to do this as we assumed this would violate Avsim's rules.But we feel entitled to the same rights and responsibilities as everyone else. Dose anyone know how to turn on the Runway light even it's in the daytime? I try to land in the winter season, but its too dark to see the runway clearly. Any idea to improve thins?Thank you.

When flying glass cockpit aircraft,ie;MSFS 2000 default 777, I lose indicated airspeed especially when flying thru clouds where the outside view goes white. I have tried leaving the deicer on at all times but this doesn't seem to help.The only way I get the airspeed back is to reload the aircraft.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks Jerry

Ok,I've given this a lot of thought recently, and I don't mean to (re)start a thread on this subject, but the one thing I realized that is absolutely essential for MS to design into FS2K4 is a proper autopilot and FMS.Think about it - until the Mad Dog came along, no add-ons (let alone the "stock" FS98) had both a thrust mode and a speed mode for the autothrottle (N1/THR/EPR and SPD/MACH) and multiple vertical speed modes (i.e. IAS Hold (LVL CHG/FL CHG for Boeing) mode vs. the V/S or Vert Spd mode.) I think that the next version of FS, before any upgraded weather, ATC, scenery, needs to have a proper working autopilot and a working FMS. Some people may argue that that is…

This is really wierd. I don't know how long it has been happening, but I really noticed it tonight!When I fly from the 2D panel, I get (just for instance) winds 122/08. If I switch to virtual, or external views the winds change to 208/17 the clouds, and visuals change. When I go back to the 2D view it switches back again. Really bizarre, and it shakes up my bird pretty bad too.Any one else run into this before?JohnnyKTUS

Ive gone and altered my flightplan.txt without making a backup , i dont normally do that, and now it wont compile. Ive dealt with things like this before, normally easy but this time I cant trace the errorIt is on line 29067 using notepadHow do I go to that line automatically in the flight plan, searching fotr the error doesnt show me anythingSun

Can anyone help!!!!The ATC isn't working properly, it won't reset back to start when I want to start a new flight.It actually kicked out of the game advising there was a problem with ATC and then forwarded the error file to Microsoft and reloaded the program.Has anyone had this problem and what can I do to fix this.RegardsFred

Afternoon all (well it is here in good ol' blighty,I know, I know - there is an answer to this somewhere in the forum - but I'm d****d if I can find it !!I've lost the effects - landing smoke, coastal waves(which are now just white rectangles), etc. I've reloaded the effects folder from the FS2K2 CD's, checked all the cfg files I can without any success - any help would be appreciated - I don't wanna have to reload the whole thing only to find out I need to change a line here, reload a file there.thanksFred C

When i put AI traffic in my game the planes are underground like -500 and I can't see the plane at all. Anyone know how to fix this problem? -JC-

Hummmm....wish I could say i liked it, but I don't right now. It's a weird plane, maybe I just need to fly it more. It's very difficult to get an exact speed down as the mach speed is totally incorrect (or I should say is not factored into your altitude on the airspeed indicator).This plane has the worst landing characteristics out of any plane I've flown in a long time! The thing just balloned and floated like crazy even at 100 knots! Yes I've flown for real and this isn't right! The landing perspective was really strange as well, in flihgt I have to raise the seat a lot, while landing I found I had to lower the seat like crazy!!!Not something I want to worry about …
