Hi there. KBUR anyone? Was hoping that there might be a scenery designer out there that could do a makeover for this facility. It's a real popular airport in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, and the version in 2k2 is poorly rendered. This airport is rich in history and was home to Lockheed for many years. I am considering (finally) transitioning from WIN98SE to XP. If you have done this transition (rather than a clean install), can you tell me if you had problems, and how successful you were in overcoming the issues? I really do not want to do a complete clean install and start over... So, any insight in to the upgrade approach would be appreciated.

HI All,A new freeware US Landclass file has been posted at http://www.simviation.com by someone named George Kunningham.Don't bother. It's actually my US National Landclass Project Beta 5. Someone just extracted the .exe file, renamed the BGL, zipped it up, and claimed to be the author. Hey gang,I was just at the DreamFleet site and saw a screenshot of the Load Master, in which you can customize the load of your flight (in the case I saw, the B734).Does anything this slick exist for the rest of the flying world (other planes)? I remember seeing a while ago a text based editor of sorts, hosted here on Avsim, but I can't seem to find it anymore...Any ideas?

Hmmmm. The more I use this program the more I see the subtleties that make it a GREAT program! Last night everything was working fine (WinMe, 192 MB). I did not install any new software but I installed Shez's Reagan National Airport and verified that everything was fine after that.This morning I get this bizarre problem .. I can't use Window Explorer, I can't open any file folder (but can open individual files if I can get to them). I get error message "Window Explorer caused error in FLT.DLL. Windows Explorer will now close ..." Since Explorer will not work, neither I can do any file searches ... I can run most programs however without any problemsI am not about to reinstall WinMe - did it once before and this was an absolute nightmare since you are trying install…

Hey, I don't know what to do. I have a Pentium 4 2.0 ghz, 256 mb of ram, and a medium-type video card. Hello all and Happy Holidays,I am looking for some help as to setting up my view commands. I think my settings were reset and I now have no idea how to get them back like I origionally had them. The particular area that I am inquiring about is the snap to fixed view while in 2D mode. I find it quite helpful when flying a traffic pattern. Currently , when I got to snap view, it pans the entire 2D cockpit(annoying). Origionally, I could snap view in the 2D mode and pan when in spot plane view. Now I can either snap when in 2D or spot view. I am confused as to how I can snap view in the 2D mode inside and pan when in spot view. If anyone can offer a quick explanatio…

Something interesting happened to me today on my "virtual" flight from Reno to Boeing Field that's never happened before in the same weather conditions(to me anyway).I'm using real world weather (FSMETEO). The weather at Boeing was 10 miles visibility with scattered clouds and rain. Anyway. ATC vectors me to runway 13R. At 19 miles out, ATC turns me to 100 to intercept (normal procedure). However, I notice that the AutoPilot can't intercept the ILS. I noticed this when I'm 5 miles out. Normally, it will intercept it 5 miles before the Outer Marker. Winds were 110 at 4. I go around and ATC vectors me in again, with the same result. So, I try to manually vector in…

Happy Holidays everyone,I'm just now having time again to do some simming. After having installed FS2002, CH USB Flightsim LE yoke, CH USB pedals and a few add ons I now find my self perplexed by a few key assignments. I used to be able to assign my aileron trim or rudder trim to my yoke on buttons 3 and 4. Now that no longer works.Does anybody out there have any idea or suggestion of what is going on. I even tried the latest drivers from CH and that didn't help. Funny thing is that when I try to use rudder or aileron trim through the keyboard it STILL doesn't work. I had to come in here and applaud and praise Rick Sasala for all the help he has given me over the last week or so. I really liked his GIV model but had a few little nitpicky issues. I took them up with him in a professional and adult manner and the results were what I beleive to be a big improvement in his GIV model. I wanted "leaning" N numbers on the nacelles and this necessitated a seperate texture for each one, prior to this it was a single repeated texture not allowing the "lean". THANK YOU! Hi everybody!You all know the semi-transparent window that hosts the ATC communication in FS2002. I would like to move this to my second monitor, but when I do so, my framerate drops dramatically. The second monitor is attached to an old Matrox Mystique graphics card, but hey, why should I need a fancy graphics card for a simple text window?Some hints on this problem? Maybe there are alternative ATC readouts/gauges, or there is some trick to avoid the slowdown when I move the window.Thanks in advance,VOlker :]

For winds aloft, does this work in Europe and elsewhere? Saturday night I flew from KJFK to HECA. When I woke up over Athens, I saw some strange winds anything from SE at 40 knots to NW at 200. Average was from NW at 40 knots.

Hi, My favorite fighter of all time is the sleek fast F-15. But, there has never really been a good flying, great looking exterior F-15. But now there is and it is fast, sleek, and highly maneuverable. I love that bird and it is just fantastic. I was wondering if there was anyone out there who is an aircraft repainter who would be interested in repainting this just simply awesome new aircraft.
