Quick question: Can anyone tell me wether my video adapter settings should be AGP or PCI, aperature 64mb or 256mb, using windows 98 on a 1 Gig, 768mb, GeForce 2 MX/400 64mb video card system?Thanks in Advance,Alex ChristoffN562ZMinneapolis, [email protected]

I have no problem adding more Addon scenery to FS2002.But if the file comes with Exclud. or Flatten , this instruction does not register in FS2002 main scenery conf. -I tried to manually adding the instruction with either COPY-PASTE or manually Type it in.In both cases I got the same message "Not enough memory to perform the task, close some application and try again".I have 512 MB on my computer and I was only running Window Explorer. I have had 146 scenery addons up to date and never had this problem before. I can still add more addons but it will not accept exclud. or any special instructions into Scenery conf. its wierd some of my payware a/c the aileron trim really seams to work well but on the defualt, say c172 and c182 aileron trim doesnt seem to do anything??anyone? do these planes not have a/t? or do i only have rudder trim in these? thanksciao!Brian S

Download this great plane.Try the followiong FS2000 Panel, which works well with the exception og a C-17 GPS guage which doesn't show up in the Right MFD: http://www.flightsimmers.net/airbase/paulsmp/fs_panels.htm (btw other great panels also available). Hi all,I was just trying to install some files in FS and it said that I have a puny 300MB of free disk space. I have a HDD drive dedicated to FS only. It's 10.4GB. So it got me wondering, how big was this game in the first place? I've tried everything. I've combed the message boards here, at FlightSim.com, SimFlight and FS Gateway. I've tried what seems like a hundred different combinations of FS settings, video drivers and driver settings, videocard tweaking with RivaTuner, FS config tweaking, textures config tweaking, etc, etc. No matter what I do, when I fly away from an airport at startup, the terrain goes from beautifully sharp and vivid to funstoppingly diffuse and blurry. Just downloaded Beta 6 of the landclass and noticed that Phase 2 is available for purchase. Anyone pick this up yet? What are the differences between the two, other than the updates will be to the Phase 2 landclass. This may be a must have, just looking for ideas on it.Lobaeux

hey,about a month after installing my new GE 4 Ti 4200 64MB , the fonts sorta started to get blurry and now when hitting the alt key it wont visibly show my file menus?? Now i did download from Nvidia a driver that was to optimize the card to use Windows XP better. i'm using the 1024 resolution setting at 32 bit colors. I know in the past versions of FS there was an option to have the menus displayed at all times but i can't seem to find the option on the setting menus?? if someone could fill me in i would appreciate it. Also if anyone has any theories about why all the sudden this happend i would appreciate it.

I'm looking for people who have successfully integrated these software and are able to get radar returns.I have followed, to the best of my ability, the suggestions made by others using these 2 pieces of software. I have seen Tarmac's post at the FlightMax site. As of yet I cannot get redar returns when using ActiveSkywxRE. I believe there is going to be a new version of FlightMax next week that fully integtates the 2. However, until then, I would like to have the radar working. I get liberal returns when using just FS default rain, but as soon as I load wxRE, I lose returns. I have not moved…

There have been loads of posts from simmers about deleting default files from fs2002, and many ask for other simmers to send them these deleted files. Those files can easily be found on any one of the three CDs that come with FS2002 Pro. So I created this list of whats on each CD. Its not broken down into each individual file, but it gives you a list of whats on each CD.I have also created a PDF file for those who might want it. Greetings all.I have a question pertaining to AI recognition by ATC as certain types of aircraft.I recently downloaded and installed an AI version of the C-130 into my FS2002, but to literally say it was terrible. The aircraft landed literally about 2 - 5 miles BEFORE the runway. To figure out this issue I changed the C-130 to flyable and attached a panel and tested this out myself. Flying the ILS on the same airports as the flight plan held to, my craft did the same thing - when I came in my craft would fall out of the sky like a rock and plung into the ground faster than the autopilot's descent rate.Well, the GOOD news is I fixed the issue. This is a great (free) aircraft to start learning about heavies. I have the Fokker 70 and FSN working together and have a question about the AutoPilot use. I have a short hop (KLAX-7R / KONT-8L) setup in MSFS2002 with everything working well for consistent auto-landings at KONT from just after take-off roll at KLAX to touch-down using the Fokker built-in SFN controls (i.e., autopilot all the way). However, when I try to do an independent ILS landing (on the same flight) with the A/P (using APR) things go wrong. Does anyone know the correct procedure for using the APR mode of the A/P? I have a 1800 Pentium 4, 80 gig, 256 RAM, and planning on getting a good video card. If all my other specs are ok, what kind of difference is it going to make while playing FS2002 if my RAM is 256 not 512. Will I still get high fps with the 256 RAM, and is it really that necessary to upgrade to the 512 or just if you are looking for the best possible flight experience.

The C172SP start-up sounds in today's library files are apparently made as a joke as they are really sounds of someone passing gas. The author (no name) does not state this in the readme file, they actually say they are more realistic. So I thought before anyone replaced their existing I'd post a warning. I seem to remember sometime ago a discussion about this, but am unable to find it. Does anyone know the answer as to whether this is based on WGS84?I ask this as I have noted the following:I position myself over a South of England landmark that is directly on the coast and note the Lat/Lon. i have a winds prob w/ fsuipc 2.94 while on the grounds the winds are good but at about 1000ft agl they go down to around 02kts and then when i get to fl230 they jump to about 45kts and it really sucks and ideas for me thanks.Happy FlyingAnthony Hurst
