Where on the disks is the texture file? Fs2002/texture? Anyone?

Why, when I change to spot view does the engine sound start off all 'revved up' before returning to what it should be? This is very irritating!Anyone have any ideas?Luke

I am about to install MS 2002 to my new computer and I can't remember if Microsoft had ever issued a patch for version 2002. I know they had one for FS2000 but could anybody tell me if they made one for version 2002 !!Thanks and regards,

First of all I'd like to say sorry to Jim for me not fully understanding the autopilot of this aircraft and thinking there was something wrong with the design. Little features like this is what makes this DC9 project stand out. I think for the record if anyone is haveing a problem with the DC9 'Ballooning' down the runway during a landing should make sure all autopilot switches are turned off. I was only turning off the switch that is located on the panel containing the NAV frequencies/settings. I did not understand that there were two other switches that needed to get switched off. This is the solution to all those out there that are haveing this problem I'm sure. …

Paul,you are my last resort. Maybe you can help. My multi monitor setup is completely messed up I am afraid.I have a GF4Ti4600 (1st and 3rd monitor) and a Riva TNT 2 PCI card (2nd monitor).1. When I reinstall drivers the PCI card is recognized as AGP card (do not know if that is a problem).2. When I change the resolution or refresh rate of the 2nd or 3rd monitor also the primary monitor turns black for a moment but stays at the same resolution. This was not the case in the past.3. Sometimes I find avsim's file library search engine quite a challenge. Tonight is the biggest example of this. There have been many repaints of Flight1's DC9 but I can't get the search engine to pull them up (I did see one for Iberia). I remember seeing two or three repaints for American Airlines but no matter what I search under nothing comes up for them. Are we supposed to remember authors names or something because a general search for 'Flight1 DC9 repaints', 'DC9', or 'DC-9-30 Templates', etc. isn't pulling up anything. Can anyone get this to work. My system freezes completely as soon as I try to load a 737 from the Create A Flight screen with this installed. I contacted Reality about this when the same happened with the locked version but had no solution. John

I have 4 or 5 different planes in my FS2002 hanger that when at cruise altitude they are slightly nose up (maybe like 5 degrees) is there a line I can add (or one I can change) to the aircraft cfg's to get the nose level when at cruise altitude?And I do set the trim of the plane before I take off, but when I put the autopilot on, it points the nose of the plane slightly up.

Hi there,I've been flying POSKY 747's for quite a while now, and must say I very much enjoy it. However recently a friend got me to try the latest MelJet 747's and well IMHO in the looks and eyecandy dept their planes are really the most outstanding I've ever come across :-). (Well which other freeware plane have you seen that actually has a detailed APU ?) However when flying Meljet jumbos they seem to handle way different from the POSKY ones. For example when taking off on a fully fueled POSKY 747 I usually rotate at 155 knots, but I usually reach this speed somewhere near the fag end of the runway ;). Hi,I've bought the Dreamfleet 737-400 -- seems to be a really great simulation product. Due to the advice at the manual "Never ask automation to do something for you that you cannot first yourself manually" I decided to fly without it the FMC. But I couldn't find any performance tables climb/cruise/descend performance tables or profiles, take off speed settings etc. There are really comprehensive manuals, but even though I heaven't read any page it seems that there is no information necessary for flying without FMC. I cannot seem to find Mike Stone's original package anywhere else right now (I know he's taking a flightsim hiatus). Hi to everyone :-hahYesterday I've installed the service pack for Windows XP and now I'm having problems with my display in FS2002. When I load a scenery for the first time everything looks OK, but when I return to FS2002 after starting a program in Windows, let say active sky, everything looks messed up. The upper part of the scenery is filled with parts of my desktop and the scenery doesn't work anymore. See the attached picture below. I'm running windows in 1280*960*32 and FS also in 1280*960*32. I have a Gateway 1.8 ghz, 256 RAM, 80 gig, and whatever video card came with the computer i dont know. Will Flight Simulator 2002 run well or is it going to be crappy.
