Hi folks,anyone out there has the same trouble? Since i bought this new weather program haven't been able to download a single METAR file for flying offline!!!I have a good 56K modem connection and never had such trouble in downloading METARS with other programs.I tried some workarounds suggested by author but without luck (i'm not a programmer).I have to say that the online feature works just fine.Come on, let's see if we can solve our trouble!cheersLuigi ;-)

I've downloaded and installed all of the VBR6 files and the .NET framework and when I go to start EVP, it says _CorExeMain failed. What does this mean??? Is there a way to fix it??

Not sure how it happened, but I no longer have GPS in any aircraft. I tried to find the GPS on the CDs but haven't a clue how to find and or extrapolate the CD files. Everything else seems to be okay. Problems started after I downloaded an AC with a custom GPS.Any thoughts out there?Dave

I have been doing some Bush flying at the Antilope trails scenery, and have tried to find a Helo that flys without jumping out of control the second I input a flight control.(Mainly on hovering) All the Helos I have on my HD seem to be toooo sensitive.Any Ideas??ThanksAl

I am tempted by the new Packard Bell 9094 ixtreme. The spec reads well, but as a brand I am not sure.It has P4 3.06Ghz, 1GB DDR Ram , Radeon 9700 Graphics , 120 GB 7200 rpm hard drive, intel 845 ge chipset.it reads well ...but do you have any experience of Packard Bell machines...ThanksJohn

I recently purchased a Garmin 196 portable GPS, which can be set to recieve GPS (NMEA) input from source other than a connected antenna. I'm trying to feed GPS data from FS2002 to the Garmin, so I can view my position on the Garmin moving map, just like I do when I'm flying my real plane.I tried a program called "GPSOUT" by Pete Dowson - but it doesn't work. Any body used this program? Any other ideas?

Happy Holidays everyone! I'd love some opinions to help make a decision here. I fly mostly FS2K2, Falcon4 SP3, and IL2. My system has held up quite well, and I'm big into tweaking and tuning for max performance. However, FS2K2 has become the main reason driving my upgrade (everything's on order to arrive next week). My two main questions are:1) Would I see enough benefit from adding a water cooling system from Innovatek to the new system (see specs below). I'm already putting in an air cooled Termaltake AX-478 which gets some great reviews...and a Lian-Li PC-65 aluminum case...so maybe not that much benefit...priced at around $255 USD.2) Should I do a HD wipe (dat…

I've started getting the virus filled emails again, with the sender always being something attributed to FS. The latest was a email titled "Merry Christmas" from "fsplanet". My McAfee caught the virus so I could safely delete it. Has anyone noticed an increase of these messages in your inbox lately?

Is there a way to manually make waypoints in the FS2002 default flight planner? If there is not then where is a flight planner that does.

Okay, so far I can't say my first impressions are stellar. Current weather in KIAH is clear skies and VRB winds, but Real Weather cannot clear my old weather from my last flight where it was ceilings of 600 and thunderstorms in the area. I've been sitting here for 30 minutes waiting for the weather to changes thinking it was a "smooth transition" thing but I even cleared the weather and ATIS still reports 600 foot ceilings and TS even though outside the window shows clear skies.I've stopped and restarted ActiveSky 5 times and it just can't seem to refresh the Wx.I've got about 40 minutes before my flight to DCA so any help would be appreciated. :-roll*sigh*Mike T.

I just purchased this addon and want to believe in it but the one main thing I brought it for is not making me pleased and the one thing that I disliked about ver 3 is still present in this one.So heres my questions:1) The wake turblance doesnt seem to cause major turblance. Has anyone crashed or been turned upside down with this yet? I flew a 172 behind a heavy and noticed wake but nothing that impressed me and I had to be right on its tail to notice it.2) Once at alt and tuned into atis the atis reports the wind from the winds alot instead of the surface winds. I know there was a big problem with WinXPSP1 at the beginning. Has the new NVidia drivers solved the problem. I'm getting ready to do a clean install and I'm thinking of installing SP1 but if it's still messing up FS2002, then I won't bother.

I just know enough about this to get into trouble. I downloaded the Fred Banting DHC-2 Beaver 3 Pack. Everything went OK and all three versions are in the 2002 aircraft folders. However the aircraft do not show up in the FS2002 "Select Aircraft" window. Can anyone tell me where I went wrong and how to fix this?

Im currently using FS2002 Vfr Scenery Pt.1 which looks best with FS2002 visability set to 10 miles or values less than 10 miles.Im also using FSmeteo 5 and would like to know how to set it up so that it never gives a visability more than 10 miles, but also accepts lower vis values depending on the MET report recieved.So far im getting visabilities in the range of 21 miles right down to 3/4 miles, but i just wanna block out any thing over 10 miles for use with this type of Scenery.I believe 21 miles is too much vis for the UK and think lower vis looks better with this scenery.Please help me!!!! I can see special rules for the boss.
