I thought I understood how to use AFCAD files. However, the last couple of times it didn't seem to work right. For example, I downloaded a file for Norman Manley airport and more recently an AFCAD file came with Michael Carr's Hank's Trading Post scenery. I import the file in AFCAD, it asks me if I want to overwrite existing file, I say "yes", save, and exit. When I attempt to go to that airport, I will sometimes find myself floating in the air and then crash (the plane, not the computer), or I'm way outside the airport completely. I installed one of the available meshes for the Aspen area of Colorado and it is awesome! Does anyone know if any of the other meshes go far enough east to cover Fort Collins and the mountains just west? ThanksDavid

Does anyone know if FSDS2 offers a feature that will add visible landing lights (from the cockpit) to the current FSDS1 aircraft???As everyone knows FSDS1 aircraft lack this feature and I hope the update solves it.

I have seen several posts about Direct X 9..where can I get it? I have direct X 8.2 from CFS3 and I want to get 9.0 installed ASAP and get rid of 8.2.. Thanks for any assistance..MIke Hayden

First, let me say a big "Hooray!" that PAI is actually working on my system now, thanks to the new installer wizardry. Despite the lack of AFCAD support, I'd say the results are better than with MyTraffic.Still, I noticed all of the Delta departures from KATL were an hour early this morning. That has not been my experience in the RW ;-). I'm thinking that perhaps the GMT settings are off somehow. Also, many of the flight numbers seem wrong. Since this isn't one of the new installer files, maybe the data is just too old. Any thoughts?David

Can I use FPDA pushback in FS2000 Pro?

All,I hope I can explain myself sufficiently clear so you know what I am asking.Whenever I click on the buttons to make the radio stack, etc appear, what happens next is a blackened rectangular area on screen where it should be. This also happens with the other buttons as well except for the map which does show up. Otherwise, the rest of FS2K2 runs very well.I have a brand new system Gateway 700XL with the Radeon 9700 card and I am running Windows XP. I would appreciate any incite into why this is happening.Thanx,Frank C

I have two excellently rendered Boeing 707 panels on my system. The first was produced by Paul Golding earlier in the year and the second quite recently by Helio Estrela. Both are well done from an FS perspective - yet, they are quite different in appearance from each other. Helio's features four boxy fire extinguisher controls in the top-center of the panel whereas Paul's does not. A quick visit to airliners.net shows that the 707-300 varients mostly had those fire extinguishers whereas models labeled 707-700s (presumably newer) did not. jerrycwo4I was just disappointed when I installed the "Aprnfx 8" and it did NOT fix my problem I've had with KSFO. Mabe this 'fix' wasn't supposed to fix my "missing texture" problem in KSFO? I 'installed' it throught the ADD in the scenery library. Was this the correct way to install it? I have Fs2002 on two differant computers and only have this problem on my new computer. Can anyone tell me what files I could copy from the good computer to correct this problem on my 2nd computer? Below is a screenprint of the problem. (white/missing textures)

I was just wondering how you guys who fly the new Fokker 100 navigate? I guess you could use the Fs2002 GPS but you have to insert the next waypoint manually all the time, get's quite anoying!Are there any addon INS systems? or FMS systems that you can download and integrate into the Project Fokker panel?

Hi all, now with my ATR72-500 in alpha-testing phase, I decided to start working on my next project: a Lockheed Constellation. I've got a somewhat weird problem. When I change something in my display settings (like putting the framerateslider from 25 to 19), and I start FS2002 the next time, the settings are back to what they were before(in this example framerate 25). This goes for all changes I make in display settings.I don't know exactly when this problem started but I do know for sure that there was a time that any change would be saved for the future.Now, every time I startup. I first have to alter the display settings to my likings. So something must have (accidently) change somewhere.Any solution anyone?greetz,Ben
