Recently I've run into a rash of problems running FS2002. It will begin the start up sequence and throw me out approximately 10-15 seconds in, before the loading bar pops up. Trying several different things, I finally removed FSUIPC from the Modules folder and FS2002 works properly. I've been running the various versions of FSUIPC since it came out without a problem. I don't understand why I'm seeing this problem occur now. I downloaded and installed the lastest version after I discovered the problem and that didn't cure it. Any ideas what is wrong and/or how to fix it?Thanks

Well...only the CRJ's at Toronto (CYYZ)....I checked out the flightsim.001 etc numbers to make sure that there were no installer spaces, etc. in each aircraft's config fileI separated each section you know...001. 0002, etc..and still nothing. I only seem to get the default commercial traffic.Has ANYBODY got it(them) to work...the Delta, EasyJet, Air Canada, etc packages? Will probably give up trying to get it to run...and just delete. Before I do...if anybody has them running...what did you have to do?I have 737/767/319 etc loaded in the aircraft folder but they simply do not show up in the sim.Mitch R.

I'm trying to install the Alaskan Commuter #9 package but I have never installed new scenery before. I thought I unzipped everything to the right folder, but when I go into the game and the scenery library I cannot find the file to add the scenery. The instructions with the package are a little sparse for someone who hasn't done this before. Can someone tell me how to install the package correctly and get it working. I am interested in doing a little bush flying. Thanks for any help.

Hi all,I installed FSUIPC latest and PAI Air Canada last night, and now my Sim won't start. I'm not blaming either of these great addons, that's just for information as to the last thing modified. Now, I get a few seconds of the Splash screen, and straight back to the desktop. No error message. I've had this before, and fixed it, but I can't remember how!Is there anyone here who has had this, fixed it, and wasn't drinking Laphroaig at the time!?Cheers,Gareth Evans

I normally set view zoom to 75-80% but as soon as I use the hat switch to pan the zoom reverts back to 100%.How can I alter the default to 75% and would I have to do this for individual planes.I have Panning in cockpit mode set in the FS2002.cfg could this be causing the zoom to revert or is this normal?RegardsBaz

Just like everyone else, I hunger for maxed sliders and huge frame rates. After recieving an insurance settlement I decided to take a huge plunge and upgrade to what I considered would give me a super computer.2.6 AthlonXP, GigabyteKT400 Mobo, 512 2700DDR Ram, Win 98SEGeForce 4 Ti 4200.I could barely contain myself on the way home as visions of smooth flying and monster frames danced in my head.I was very disapointed to discover that FS2K2 still slopped along at 20 - 25 fps. If fact, flying in Alaska with Full terrain mesh, trees and all the other scenery I could find, with the Dreamfleet Archer, I recieved no more than 20 fps dipping to 15 - 13.Nothing but Systray and …

It seems like older siblings get all the good toys! My brother just traded in his Malibu for this TBM 700. I can't wait to fly in it and maybe rest my hands on the yoke while the AP is on.David

Hello all,This is my very first post on Avsim. I have been downloading a lot of goodies and reading reviews and news from this site. Could anyone out there who designs aircrafts for FS2002 help me with this issue with the Debonair created by James Eden and Geoffrey Applegate:FS2002 offers four views: Cockpit, Virtual Cockpit, Tower, and Spot. Within cockpit view, you can press W to have: (A) a view showing the 2-D instrument panel, (:( a view showing six instruments, and © a view showing no instruments at all.I am referring to the cockpit view (with six instruments showing/or no instruments showing. Press the W key to see these cockpit view modes). Anyways, with the pilot…

Has anybody used the AI texture installer beta notedon the front page of avsim? A good tool to associateaircraft with flight plans would be good for AI. I usuallymanually install PAI planes exclusively because their variousauto installers dont always work perfectly in ordering andnaming the aircraft in cfg files. (no big deal cause I liketo control the detail.) However I've started using more andmore AIA and FSP planes in place of the PAI birds even thoughI use the PAI flight plans. In any case, before monkeyingwith another tool, I thought of asking what the experience ishere.ThanksEric

I am finding the autopilot on the Lear to be very stubborn to engage. Is there a specific command sequence which is required to activate the autopilot, or is there perhaps a minimum altitude or speed requirement?

I have saved up for a while, I would really like to buy an LCD, I was thinkin an 17" or 19", I have a couple of questions though, are they good for gaming, I can't remember where I read this but they said that LCD's are not as good as tubes, is this true?, Also can they get screen burn?, Do I need to have a screen saver on so I do not ruin the monitor?
