Real quick, I had to pause my flight I thought this was too funny. I'm cleaning my room and ran across the manual for FS2k2. Page 25, talking about improving quality and performance MS says "A Pentium II-300 or faster processor is recommended for optimal performance". It also says, our 3-D graphics card needs at least 8MB of memory, and you need at least 64MB of RAM. What would this sim look with those MS recommended specs?LOLLobaeux

I have noticed from time to time, 2D panels and interior views that 'utilies' bits and pieces or even whole views from other COMMERCIAL products... A Renegade and a Beechjet panel using bitmap backgrounds from Flight Umlimited III and interior views using Beech B200 and Hawker 800 Bitmap backgrounds from FlyII aircraft... I have no problems, ethically, with these add-ons... Not much point in wasting time re-inventing the wheel, so to speak...My favourite 2D cockpit right now is one I made for my Abacus Piper PA31-310, using heavily modified views from the FlyII Piper Kodiak...This particular modification is made only for my own enjoyment.........BUT! I have just upgraded from a 32meg Hercules Prophet to a Winfast A170DDR-T 64meg graphics card and my frame rates on FS2002 has jumped from 8 to 14 FPS...so far so good. The sim is running smooth and is the best it's been but...I have lost all my water effects, shimmers, waves etc. Have I done something wrong here? I installed the Directx v 8.1b as supplied on the supporting disc...the driver supplied is Dec 2002 so bang up to date. There must be a setting somewhere in the graphics settings or properties I have missed. All the sliders in FS2002 have been adjusted from min to max (including the effects and water sliders!) but to no avail....it's a mystery as everything els…

Hi there!Remember the classic AN-24RV for FS2k? The good news is that the Russian flightsim guys are close to releasing a new G-MAX AN-24 and 26 with a nice looking panel. I have a question. You can see my system specs in my Sig. line. I just built this system and for the most part I am very happy with it. It is the fastest I have ever had. I am pretty happy with the performance of FS2K2 with this setup. I am enjoying it alot more now. I have one question though. When I am in the air, when ever I am flying over buildings, the rooftops flicker. They are all there, but they flicker. Do any of you know how to stop this or is it something we all suffer with? I don't think it shows up very well with screen shots though. I have the screen resolution at 1024X768. On the Radeon car I have FSAA @ 4X and AA at 8 I think. Thanks for your replys.Ron

I can click on the NAV2 radio and change the frequency.I can use the "Cycle OBS/NAV/COM" selection to get to NAV2.HoweverI can not find a single key press, or a function to assign a keypress to that will let me select the NAV2, or COM2 radios directly.Also the "Cycle OBS/NAV/COM" does not ever select COM2.N for instance selects the NAV1 radio, T selects the Transponder, etc.Is there some other gauge, or radio stack out there I can use that usese a different command to select the NAV2, and COM2 radios? Something like "Select EGT" or something like that?Help!!I want to assign a keypress to a button on my joystick to activate the COM2, NAV2 radios so I can make settings to …

I've been looking into purchasing the Reality XP Garmin 530. I've never bought any avionics add-ons like the Garmin before. I'm particularly interested in the GPS and navigation parts of the Garmin. I found my old FS4 disk. I stuck it in and fired it up. Does anyone know how to get a joystick working on it in WinXP? I have a USB yoke, and an old CH Flight Stick plugged into my soundcards joystick port.

Hi,After using PSS 747 and 777 and Wilco 767 I'm having a hard time getting used to Greatest Airlines FMC. First how to you bring it up after you have stated FS2000 ? is therea key stroke command like Shift F4 Ect ?I'm having a hard time getting the FMC up and running when I have the aircraft active in FS2000.Thanks for any help you can give me.Scott Comeau

I use your Lear35A panel with the Cessna 421C Golden Eagle. It's recommended that you don't exceed 240 KIAS airspeed with that aircraft, but I notice that I can go way above that speed without a warning.What do I need to edit to make the Overspeed Warning appear when exceeding 240 KIAS, if that is even possible given that I am using a jet panel for a prop? I looked at the cfg files, but didn't see anything obvious to change.Thanks.

This morning, on my home computer, I clicked the thread "Action in support of Richard Harvey" and was presented with a box asking for a username and password for Sharemation.com. I thought it an anomaly, updated my antivirus, and hoped I hadn't gotten a worm or worse. G'day Lonnie.Your 757 panel.cfg file is arranged so that all the sub-panels load up when the aircraft is loaded (via the Visible=1 line) . You say in your readme file that this is neccesary . I have also noticed that Oleksiy Frolov has all his Dash8 sub-panels load at startup. For his aircraft , I have set al the relevant Visible =1 lines to visible =0 and everything works Ok.I am just wondering if you could further explain why these sub-panels must be loaded at startup.But thanks greatly for your panel -- I don't know where you get the time/energy/knowledge/talent to create such a thing. :)Barry

First of all, excellent plane!!! Flys great!!!But I found two bugs/problems...1) If you set your eyeview behind the wings, you'll see the ailerons won't move when you turn your yoke. You'll be able to see it move in spot view.2) I have the rudder pedals and when I apply some brakes, the plane turn to the right. It's like there's no brake on the left tires, just the right tires.The two problems I posted, how can I fix them?Again, EXCELLENT plane, I recommend you download it!Thanks!!Brian

hianybody know why my flightplan export would fail when i try to export a flightplan into sqauwkbox.i'm trying to fly online using fsnav and SB,but when i try to make a flightplan in FSNAV,say egkk to eddm.if i export it into SB it fails.very frustrating .cant find any help in the manuals of either product.far as i know the route i use jumping from vor to vor is ok.not sure how you get to the airport from the final vor,do you click on the airport and add to flightplan to finish off your route???bit confused to say the least... thx steve

Has anyone tried partitioning their hard and installing FS2002 in a different partition? I was wondering if this might increase performance if this were the only the only software installed on the partition.

Hey everyone... I am just curious to what happend to Project Airbus and when are they coming back... Now I know there was some sort of mess going on over there, which I find to be just ridiculous. My question to the community is what is the deal about repainting FREEWARE aircraft and why is it such a big deal...I have been using FS since 1985...and been involved in the community since the beginning...
