I have a ATI9700TX 128mb card using cat 3.6 drivers and every screen I switch to using this card and FS2004 (which I received today from Provantage) flickers between a blank, black screen before the card settles down. This also occurs each time I press 'Alt' to use the top of screen menu. This ONLY happens with FS2004...never had a problem with FS2002. Has anyone else encountered this problem?I also have a problem with my curser rapidly blinking then disappearing with both FS02 & 04. Have tried both a serial generic Dell mouse and a USB Logitech optical with the latest drivers without success. Have not encountered these problems with any other program.Dell 4550 2.661 …

hi,I've been tweaking fs2004 for the last couple days, and i'm really loving it, but what can be done about the default visibility?It's always set at 50 miles with real weather. Is there anyway to change the default settings?

I flew COS-STL today, gave me a chance to fiddle with things in FS9 enroute...I discovered that as you slide your visibility distance further out, the horizon raises. Reduce your vis, the horizon drops. Creates some interesting uptical illusions re: your attitude, the world just "ends" wherever you put the slider, no gradual reduction. I was descending into STL and suddenly the horizon dropped about a half inch. It appears that either I need to crank a slider up or some "haze effect" is broken. Sliding the distance out gives me a "normal" horizon (way too clear tho), pull it in and the horizon disappears under the nose (very sharp when I look down tho)...Were there haze i…

Hi All,Just installed FS 2004 on my system running Win xp home and when I try to start FS 2004 I get an error saying to login with Administrator Privileges. I am the only user and I have administrator Priviledges. I tried to log on as another account with the same priviledges but get the same error. Anyone know how to fix this. Please Help!

Hi, what are some of the issues that FFX planes have in FS2004? The DC-10s seem not to create contrails about 30,000ft and the beacon lights do not turn on. Do these things work in FS2004 or is it my computer?Thanks,Bill

hi I have a question...in alot of the screenshots I saw of the major airports I saw vehicles, jetways, and terminals....in my copy with the defualt scenery I dont see any at the major airports at all....was this included as default scenery??? how do I add them??? please help!!!!!!!!!nigel

Hi I've pre-ordered this plane 3 months ago and been tracking their progress almost daily since then. When it was released I was quite disappointed to find it doesn't offer a resumable download. I am on a dialup 56k and I leave my computer on all night for many nights to download this stuff just to find in the morning the download was broken halfway, so I never be able to get it, I'm even downloading as I type this. I'm downloading the 3part files. So I would like to know is there anyone else on a dialup 56k that can even successfully download this product? So curious to know that. I have another problem with AI traffic: When I compile the flightplans and decompile it, I see that the compiler renumbers my aircrafts. So, that I have one number two or three times. Than I have Finnair in Brasilia or Air Mauritius in Canada. The compiler shuffles many of aircrafts. My method to number the aircrafts in aircraft.txt: European airlines: 000001 to 099999 North American airlines: 100000 to 199999 South and Middle American airlines: 200000 to 299999 ... up to Cargo and Military: 600000 to 699999 Each airlines got 100 numbers, to have space for eventually Special ones etc. But when I compile the numbers stops at 012000 or so and I have numbers I never set. Hi All,This plane is really spoiling to me all the others in my hangar. Most any other VC (not to mention exterior model) looks like a toy after spending some time with this plane! And its very framerate friendly, surprising for all the detail.Anyway, my question:-) Since installing the update, one thing that seems to have changed is that the power switches on the radio stack are all defaulted to "off". Call me lazy, but I like to have the Coms, navs and Transponder switch on automatically with the rest of the avionics when I start up the engine. Please help. Does anyone have Radar Contact 3 with FS2002? I have had no problems up to this point. I tried the Saved Flight option when I first got RC3 with the Dreamfleet 737 and it worked fine. Now I go to load that saved flight again and as the progress bar gets midway ("Loading FS State") it locks up cold. I have to ctl-alt-del to get out of RC with the usual unresponsive program message. FS remains minimized and OK. I already tried the RC website and tried using a MSFS default aircraft and creating a new flight and saving it per their help. Same results. imho the default aircraft that i have flown (172,cub,caravan) all seem to fly much better than the default aircraft in fs 2002. almost like nicely tweeked airfiles. they fly so well i have no intention of changing anything. anyone else had this experience ?also, it seems that turbulence and the general feeling of actually being in an aircraft moving through real air is modeled better.the gps' are a nice addition.much of the mesh i am flying over seems improvedsome textures seem betterback to the simdon

I just saw that the Swv website is off line, and i want the download i paid for, but after 5 hours it is nowhere in sight and i did not had an email that they put me in there data base. I suspect that this security registration goes the wrong way. I think registration is a good thing to do, but do it in a client friendly way and know where you dealing with, SWV does not. PMDG group is a good example of a good and smooth registration/administration center, where they know what there clients wants. But after surfing around the forums over the past couple of days there has been a LOT I repeat a LOT of speculation over Windows ME: the OS I have (sadly :-lol). :-boom :-boom Can I just ask those who have it, does it run better or worse than CFS3.
