I've been having this problem for a while. Sometimes when landing the airplane will partially sink into the runway as if one of the landing gears were missing, sometimes the nose gear, sometimes one or both of the main gears. This happens even if the landing is a greaser (less than 200fpm)and with the airplane at light weights. This happens ocassionally (not all the time). I do have the stress damage option on, but my landings are not that hard as to cause the aircraft to sink in the runaway. Posky aircrafts and Captain Sim's 727 are more susceptible to this. Any ideas??

I just called one my local Best Buys Stores and spoke to a manager (Sherry Adkins) and she said that when a product is shipped to them it comes from the regional distribution center closest to the store and they (some group she called product control) are the ones who include any holds or special instructions on items. To include holding for release date, she said this is more with high-end software (Windows XP, Office etc

Seems a lot of people are having issues with COF... and posting those problems to forums (except flightsim!) that LOTS of people are reading. People that HAVEN'T bought COF yet. I wonder how many people may NOT buy COF on Tuesday after reading some of these threads... it's not just GeForce boards, it's ATI boards too. It's flickering, it's panels that don't work correctly, it's lots of things. Now I see why M$ didn't want stores to sell to customers early- they KNEW there would be lots of problems, and they didn't want those problems to come out until the MAXIMUM number of people had shelled out for the sim. Well, the cat's out of the bag now, as they say. It's all …

Having screen resolution problems with FS2k4. My specs are below. Problem: I cannot run the sim in anything by 800x600 resolution (either 16 or 32). If I set it to anything higher, the sim looks mostly okay in flight, but within the menus, especially "Create a flight," the screen goes mostly black and I cannot see the buttons unless my mouse pointer is directly over them. My default resolution (within windows) is set to 1280x960. However, I cannot run FS2k4 in this resolution or any other except for 800x600. I am running the new 4403 drivers form Nvidia. I do not have this problem in FS2k2. Any Ideas? Athlon 1400XPGeforce4 Ti4400 (4403 drivers)512 mb. DDR PC2100W…

I have been trying to turn on the batteries in SSW A310 for nearly aweek now and finally managed it because of another dll conflict. I decided to install FS2002 to another hard drive and used the module folder from that fresh install to use in my original install. I saved my original module folder to a safe place and then put the module folder in my FS2002. I put in the fsuipc.dll and SSWA310.dll and ran FS2002, it worked and i could use SSW A310. I now put in my dll's from the other folder 4 at a time that were being used by my addons. I found out that that the GFDev2k2.dll version 1.24.04 was the one conficting. So I remove that to use A310 and have to put it back and r…

I wonder if FS2004 will allow flight plans to be filed where pilots are cleared to take off and land on the same runway, as when using the 1903 Wright Flyer out of LAX for example?Just a question.Robb

I am very curious what MS means when they say that 2004 will have a kiosk mode. I know what a kiosk mode is but not exactly how 2004 will approach it. For example, the old ATP sim gave you the ability to select a starting point and a destination and then it would fly the flight automatically with you as the passenger. I used this mode during a demo once and just let folks walk by and watch. Is this what 2004 will do or are they talking about recording a video and playing it back? Does anyone out there with a Beta have some better skinny on this mode? Thanks.ThePikes

Had about 3 hours to play around with it last night. My system is:P4 2.4GeForce FX 5200512 MB RAMWinXPHere's what I found:1) After completing a full install, none of my planes (except for the 737) had a 2D cockpit, nor could I view any other windows, like the GPS. I could still use the virtual cockpit. Anyone else experience this? Hopefully, it was just a fluke and reinstalling will fix it.2) BUG (at least for me): While in virtual cockpit of 737, turning on/off Nav lights had no affect. Had to go to the 2D cockpit and toggle the lights. Anyone else noticed this?3) BUG (at least for me): When moving to different menus on the menu bar, the previously dropped dow…

I just purchased the license/registration key for FSUIPC 3. (God.. not another key). I assume that FSUIPC3 will be released in the next few days and the key will allow access to all features. Peter's site also has the new PFC.dll which requires FSUIPC3. The faster that vendors are "weened" away from FSUIPC the better.BobP :)

I would appreciate if anyone can help me with some new problem I have with my 2k2.Something strange happens with the auto throttle. I take off, get cruise altitude, and cruise with no problem and the auto throttle works fine, but when I start descending the auto throttle gets stuck and doesn't matter if I set the speed at 350 kias or 200 or any speed, the auto throttle gets stuck and accelerates the plane to its maximum. I have to control the throttle manually, and the funniest is that at some point, when I am close to the runway, lets say 20 miles, I try it and it is working again. Can this be fixed?ThanksLeo
