I recently upgraded to windows 2000 pro and now I can't play fs2000 unless I uninstall PF2000. It seems PF2000 is not compatible with windows 2000 pro, although I read an article on this site stating it was compatible. I cannot get the PF2000 patches since Microwings's site has been down and I need help!Thank you.Ariel

on their older/newly bought machines...based on the numbers I see, I sure hope so!!I have a lower end Athlon (funny thing, it wasn't so low end when I got it a couple years ago...) and accept the fact that COF will eat it for breakfast...oh well. Until I can upgrade (Christmas maybe?) I will live with sliders pulled back and framerates lower than I'm currently used to. And I won't be getting rid of 2002, just in case. For the many out there who use their computers to heat the house (P-4 9700, GF12, 62Gb of 900MHz ram, 480Gb ATA700 HDDs, liquid helium cooled CPUs, you know the ones...), yah, I'm jealous....but that's ok. I'll get there in about 12 years!!Best to all with ou…

Multiplayer Co-PilotForgive me if this has been discussed before, but an idea had just occured to me. The FS2002 Instructor multiplayer deal was, as far as I could tell, a lame idea. But something that did strike me was if it was possible for Microsoft to incorporate in one of their future versions of FS the ability to have a multiplayer game between two pilots. Specifically, a pilot and his (real-life) co-pilot. Both pilot and co-pilot see exactly the same thing (granted, the multiplayer part of the program MUST be improved upon for smoothness between players). I'm sure that sharing the exact same aircraft info between the two would require nothing less than a good DSL/C…

What are the options, VOR-VOR, and ADF? Would it be highly unrealistic to put the Garmin 530XP in it. I say this because I still dont fully understand the navigation instruments in the 727.Do you think CS would ever put an FMC in their 727.ThanksJason

I'm wondering if any of you Gold 2004 folks (legal, that is :-) ) have given Richard Probst's latest 727 panel a try in the new sim? I am REALLY hoping it will work big-time as I love that panel and use it regularly. If anyone has tried it, could they drop a line here and let me know if it needs any "fixing"?Many thanks!Glenn

Hiya,I am using FS Build 2 and I cannot get any performance information (fuel quantaties and burn, V speeds etc...) in the aircraft menu for an A310-304.Is this because I do not have an aircraft performance file? If so, were can I get one from? Thanks

Hello folks:I am carrying a message from Erick Cantu regarding the recent happenings in here and the screenshot forum. Here goes:"Hullo guys...:-)I'd post this myself but for reasons a few of you may remember I can't, so I decided to send this along to Daniel. The wings of the -10 are shorter, actually, Mike didn't even need to stage anything to show it - drop the lights config from the -30 into the -10 and that would do it. And he didn't need to target anyone - and I do apologize for anything my DC-10 has caused, however, I think everyone on either side of it needs to calm down...it's a DC-10 wing, not a thermonuclear warhead. Besides, if anyone's going to complain about …

A quick question for those of you who fly for real air carriers. Are all pilots assigned to a single aircraft type at any given time (regardless of the number of actual type ratings they may have), or do some fly more than one type over a rotation or on subsequent rotations? For example, if a pilot (Captain or FO) is type rated for a 737-200 and a 727 for example, would he only be assigned to one or the other, or might he get to fly both in a given period of time (say a couple to 4 months)? Many thanks!Glenn

Best light trainer category (opinions?)Always looking for that hidden jewel that has managed to elude me and while I do enjoy the wonderful airliners that are so plentiful these days I find myself more and more drawn to the lighter side of aviation, possibly because I miss it so much.I was compiling a list of my favorite light trainer, single engine and multi piston birds and here is what I

hi,Looks like Discovery wings channel has started playing an fs2004 commercial. I missed the first part of it and heard the ending "Flight simulator 2004 rated E for everyone" (with a big picture of the tin box on the screen). :-) I hope to see the commercial again so I can see how it starts.Andrew

Hi there,Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I couldn't find an appropriate one (or a previous answer). As a European customer (Ireland), what would be the disadvantage of me purchasing FS2004 from AVSIM (other than the horror of saving a few quid!) Are there any hidden charges? Thanks,Boone

Hello All,I've made what I think is an interesting discovery that I haven't seen discussed before. When I change the zoom factor of my spot view, it influences the FPS I see in VC view.More specifically, I get noticably higher (and smoother) FPS when my Spot view is zoomed out to 1X or less. I'm guessing that with a high texture plane the CPU somehow must keep track of the textures even when in VC, and zooming out a bit eases up on this workload.Anyone else notice this? Will zoom factor settings in views other than Spot influence the FPS seen in VC? Am I saying something totally obvious that everyone knew except me?:-)Best,JoelPS I have a P43.06 with 1MB RDRAM, so this is…
