Hi,Just out of curiosity, are you going to rename this forum "MS Flight Simulator 2004/COF/9 General Discussion Forum" or are you going to open a new forum dedicated to FS2004/COF/9?Michael

Hello:I recently downloaded a couple of new DC-10's from FFXS...they are all great except one thing. There are no flashing strobe lights on the end of the wings. All it does is go on and off very slowly.....no flashing etc like most planes have these days. Can Anyone help me if there is a way to correct this??Any help would be appreciatedThanks. No its not been released in the US yet. July 29th I believe is the release date for the US customers, and here in the UK (and therefore presumably most of Europe) its released on August 1st.The software dealer you talk of is either full of s#!@, or has illegal copies which have been downloaded from the internet, and burned to CD. Either way, just wait for a couple of weeks, its not long to go!Regards,Al Summers.

I'd like to add arrestor cables to the carrier in the 'Meigs carrier force', and also to Meigs field (Altitude is ~600 ft). So, does anybody know of a way of increasing the data range restriction: 0<= DeckAltInFeet < 300 to say: 0<= DeckAltInFeet < 1000 ?NB.Richard Hogen, who wrote this excellent utility, can no longer provide free support for ArrCab any more. As of 1 Feb, 2003, Abacus owns the rights to distribute ArrestorCables (ArrCab). (An improved version of ArrCab is being included in the

Hey there, one quick question with hopefully a solution...I have FS2002, and for some reason my autopilot will not couple with the glideslope on an ILS approach. The lateral system will activate and stear my plane on the right approach course, but, the glideslope will activate and I will have to try my hardest keeping the plane and the correct glideslope.Hope this can help.Blake

I like this stick very much - alot better then the "topgun" stick I had previous to this. Anyway a problem has cropped up and perhaps someone can help me out?The Stick is at time moving the throttle. I'm not talking about the throttle on the side. The stick is moving it. It's very annoying to have this happen when making an approach. Any of you Logitech users out there have simular problems and perhaps have fixed it. I can dissable the throttle from the stick in the FS2002.cfg but I'm hoping I don't have to?Any help greatly accepted. No doubt about it...Ronson2k

I did a search on this subject but couldn't find the answer. Any thoughts here? Would the FS2002 patch for PIC767 make it compatible with FS2004, seeing as how they're so similar? Anyone know of any plans for an FS2k4 PIC767 patch? This is still the best add-on in the history of flight sim as far as I'm concerned and it would be a shame to not be able to use it in FS2k4... I've barely got enough space to run both sims on my machine right now so if I could just run 2k4 that'd be great! Thanks in advance,Max Cowgill

I have never had a problem with or worried about the so-called "blurries" in FS2002 -- but what has annoyed me most about it is the shimmering/moving lines that you see mostly on the sides/edges of buildings as you fly along.Does this still exist in Fs2004?Barry

Greetings Fellow Simmers,(especially you lucky people who are recieving FS2004 now!)I am a very happy GoFlight user and have a lot of gear. Unfortunately GoFlight is pretty slow when it comes to announcing news or software updates (I look in vain on their website every day)Does anyone know if or when the GoFlight software will work with FS2004 (and can confirm this with working modules in FS2004).Many thanks to anyone who replies.

Overall pretty cool, I'll still keep 2002 and all the stuff installed until I know what works and what doesn't. Anyways, does anyone know how to edit tower frequencies? Or is the SDK required? M$ had the frequecy correct in 2002 and messed it up in 2004. No big deal just looking for a quick fix! Thanks

Beyond...yes, way beyond what I was expecting. The Cessna 172, and the Lear...Oh..the Lear, all fly better. The scenery is unbelievable, and the airports (the few I visited, were soooo much more real). My Microsoft ForceFeedback2 joystick FINALLY FEELS RIGHT. They must have made adjustments so this (their stick) works better. More feel, more resistance, and more realistic forces. Am I happy or what? I can't wait to continue using this program. Love the real weather downloading, and the clouds and water look phenomenal. My settings are up there....on the very (ultra) high side. I'm using Dell 8250 with 2.8 gig Pentium, 512RDRAM, ATI 9700 128mg graphics card, and Audigy sound…

Can anyone confirm FS2004 supports multi monitors in NON windowed mode .Read on another forum that you can only undock and drag windows to another monitor only in windowed mode(In full screen mode apparently the option to undock is greyed out). Please tell me this isn't true.

My first impression is that is looks like a different simulator.:) The daytime sky and ground colors are much improved. Much more realistic. I just started tinkering and I am getting 15fps to 20fps with medium-high settings on most of the display settings. The clouds exceed my expectations and the RealAir Marchetti works great in FS2004 unpatched! BobP :)GW2K 2.0ghz P4512 meg memGeforce 4200 (64mg)

Can any legitimate owners of FS2004 inform us whether or not FS2004 comes packaged with the GMAX software the way that FS2002 did? Also, this may have been answered already, but I haven't been able to find the answer while searching, but can anyone inform us what the "standard" packaging is on FS2004? Is it the tin box, a DVD case, or jewel case? Sorry for these minor questions, I'm just curious.

Does FS2004 have the video driver check procedure that was in CFS3? I had nothing but trouble with the CFS3 installation until I read here how to get the installer to work with my video drivers. Thanks, regards, Bob.

Mod, I understand if you pull this but...The other site has put the kaibash on all things 2004 until the official release date of the 29th. Their feeling is that anyone that has it either has a 100% bonafida counterfit, or has gotten it illicitly from an unscrupulous dealer who has ignored MS's official release date of the 29th.Wow!Dave "still watching and waiting in Colo" J

Thanks for the advice on the 152s in my last post guys, but I still am looking for a good freeware 737 panel as well as a 777 panel. I know it's asking for a lot but anything that can even come close to the same quality as 767 PIC is what I'm looking for. I doubt I'll find such a freeware panel in existance but it can't hurt to ask...thanks in advance,Max Cowgill
