Hey everyone, is it just me, or is there a slight problem with the download link for the PW DC-10 sound package in the file library? For some reason, every time I try to download it, I get an 'action canceled' message after I accept the FFX agreement. Is anyone else having this problem?George

Hiya,how does an aircraft know how fast the winds are around it? You see on the PFD the wind direction and velocity, is this a pilot entered perameter or is it an aircraft detected value? Does the pilot have to enter all the winds data in the FMC? cheersrici

1 Week till release and I am here planning alternates. What a sickness.Anyway. Here is my problem. I am buying COF the first day available. However, My 600MHz Celeron is right at system minumums. Now I have heard mixed signals on how it will fly.I am very satisfied with FS2002 on my system. I have made some compromises with reflections, the amout of AI traffic (50% most of the time) and amount of Autogen, and that does it for me.If I have to devoid all of FS2004 of anything interesting to run smoothly (15FPS or above, by FS2k2 standards), I will most likely stick with FS2002 until I upgrade my rig.So here's the question. Hello Gang!First of all, let me just say that Melvin outdid himself with the version 2 of his magnificent 777 - it is simply fabulous! The only problem I am experiencing is that whenever I look left or right on normal cokpit mode, the virtual cockpit appears and blocks my view, especially when looking left, where it totally blocks my view with the virtual cockpit doors that let to the first class cabin. Is there a way of pushing the virtual cockpit back so I can get my normal cockpit views back?Thanks for any input!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

HelloI keep seeing posts about panel useage with the excellent Rafi aircraft and would like to add my choice.I have for several years been a keen registered user of Tony d'Ambrosio's REALCRT series and have modified several of them to suit my preferences.I wonder if any graphics guru could help with the appearance of the MCP, the text always shows as "blotchy" and detracts from what would otherwise be a good looking panel and try how I may in my crude way I am unable to get any improvement.Also if one tries to use the REALCRT ND in a panel displayed at higher resolution than 1024x768 the proportions of the text reduces unrealistically.Even with the above disadvantages I s…

I have two add ons, a DeHaviland Dash8-300 and a Twin Otter, and in both of them when I turn say to the left, the view out the windscreen indicated a left turn but the ADI shows a RIGHT turn? all of the default aircraft respond correctly. How do I fix this? Is it as simple as clicking "reverse" in the joystick setup? Won't that make all the default turn backwards? Doug Young

Hi everyone. I just got X-Plane 7.0 beta. I have Fs2002, Fly2k. You name it I had it or have it. Here is What I think of each sim.FS2002: Exreme awsome graphics in some cases photo real!!! Flight model lacks just a little. For EXP. The cessna 182 is tends to dive straight down when the stall horn goes off!!. Me being a pilot(with a solo sign off) Knows airplanes (small Fixed Wing) tend to hold quite a bit before the nose drops. Microsoft has a bit unrealistic power settings. In real flying on the base to final I run about 15RPMS and 70Knots in flight sim 2002 the plane wants to drop out of the Sky!! Immpossible I treid many times trying to do it the way I fly my real Cess…

With just 13 days until FS2004 is available has anyone thought about what will be your last flight in FS2002? When I get FS2004 I will not be going back to FS2002 so my last flight using FS2002 will be in FFG's Learjet 35 and Yannick Lavignes Falcon 50 (I heard these will not work in FS2004)

For all of you computer experts.... my goal is to have flight simulator 2002, and upcoming flight simulator 2004 just to "run like silk" with full graphics(graphic bars all of the way up). Lets say maybe 30 to 40 fps. My current system is a vaio pcv-rx580. All i know is that it has a intel pentium 4 1.8ghz processor and i have a radeon 9700 pro graphics card. Now my question is, would it be more benificial to upgrade my processor to a intel pentium 4 2.8ghz processor, or just get a new machine like a dell 8300? Would upgrading the processor to a 2.8 do a whole lot? opinions........thanks!!
