hi I'm currently eyeing the buetiful Realair SF260, and would like to know more about it's performance. How high can this plane cruise and how fast? I've seen some data at airliners.net but it is of some newer models. I'm looking for a fast, personnal, stylish commuter aircraft. And how about the panel complexity...

What I mean to ask is do you still need FS Navigator? Though I don't mind paying for it I'd much rather have it built into the sim. If anyone knows and posts, thank you in advance. :)

With all scenery/display sliders maxed out in fs2004 the Woodrow Wilson Bridge is not visible. Did they forget this bridge in the release version? Can anyone else confirm this? It has been there in previous versions of FS. Thanks in advance for any response.Best Regards,Weave

Howdy,Anyone know how an SiS 650_651 64MB (intergrated) video card (with the latest drivers installed) will work with 2K4? Works fine and dandy in 2k2, but reading the various issues involving other cards ... :-( (At the moment, purchasing another Video card is just not an option.)TIA

All,I have noticed that when disengaging the auto pilot in FS2004, the aircraft will start to climb at a steep rate. Has anyone else experienced this and found a correction? In FS2002, the plane was in a stable condition when the AP was disconnected. Thanks!

Hi everybody...this is my first ever post here. I got tired of lurking around the forums :)Anyway, i haven't had an MS FS since FS98. Real life took over, and then IL-2 took over. Now that FS2004 is coming out, i'm really getting excited to get back into the civilian flight sim.I have a request of anyone who has the game already... I often fly to Montauk Airport (KMTP) and was wondering what it looked like in FS2004. If anyone could post a screenshot of the approach, or just any shots, i would be extremely happy.thanks, and i'm glad to be a part of this great community!

The first time I tried to install Flight Sim 2004, everything went smooth, but after installing it, it would get so far as the splash screen and then close. No errors, no nothing.I uninstalled, and then uninstalled FS2002 and Ultimate Traffic, thinking that maybe one of the two were causing problems.Upon trying to install the second time, the installation got 99% done and then an error message popped up saying that there was trouble with the disk and I should check to see if the file was locked or if the disk was full. I have 33 GB free! Now, when trying to start Flight Sim, I got the message, "You do not have permission to install new files on this computer. PLease hav…

Just installed FS2004 and I can't find any way to enable autocoordination. Some of the planes worked OK but the DC-3 did not. Is there a way to enable autocoordination for those of us without rudder pedals or rudders on the joystick? Thanks, regards, Bob.

Hi, has anyone noticed that the real weather reports are outdated and inaccurate? For example at 2pm Pacific Time, KLAS (Las Vegas) reported only 84 degrees. I checked online and it was actually 106 degrees in reality.Other stations were not reported correct or nearly up to date weather either. Can someone confirm this?

For example, Naha Center in Okinawa Japan is actually Naha Control in real life. Also, I believe in Japan they use the term Radar like in Narita Radar. In FS2002/2004 they call it Naha AFB Center which is unrealistic. Also, what's unrealistic is say, when taking off/landing at London Heathrow (LHR/EGLL), they hand you off to some random approach control two or three times before you actually get to contact London Center or Heathrow Approach.Isn't this a bit weird? Any way to change this, and why does FS ATC make you contact these nonexistent or wrongly named centers?

Questions? I use 2002 for nothing but instrument practice for real world flying (helps keep the rust from forming). 99% of the time I have visibility and ceiling set at 2 miles & 200 feet solid overcast. Is there a substantial advance in the panel quality of the GA aircraft over 2002 to interest me? I know that it includes a Garmin 500 for GPS approaches. Is it coupled with OBS or HSI? If this works well I am certainly interested in getting 2004.Lastly if it is worth getting, for my use will it run on my machine (keeping in mind I would have the scenery turned way down, but the panel quality would be maxed). 2002 runs great the way I use it 30fps locked most of t…

Hi,For those of you who have installed FS2004. Have you installed it 'Over' your previous version or just put it in its own Folder? Also, if you've kept both versions, can you fly each one independantly without problems?I guess I should also ask if you found it necessary to delete (or possibly completely rename) your previous version before installing the new one.In any case, I'd appreciate your help on this becasuse - as you might expect - I can't wait to install mine when it comes and would like to keep FS2002 available until I get the next one where I want it.Thanx, John

Is anyone having this problem? Forum access seems very, very slow...is there a tech problem at avsim's end? The slow performance is evident for me on two different computers in two different places...so I suspect the problem is not on my end. Thanks...Sherm
