Why is it that I can steer the R4D DC-3 with my joystick in FS2004, like I did in FS2002, and can't steer any of the other stock tail draggers? My joystick does not have the rudder twist function. Is there a way to setup the other stock aircraft like the R4D? I hate to use the keyboard. Thanks, Bob.

I would like to setup rudder pedals with differential braking. My question is, how do you apply brakes evenly (ie. without the differential braking) ? Do you have to press both left and right brakes evenly ?Thanks,Pesi

I was looking at the description for the S-Combo update for FS2004 in the AVSIM file library. The description is absolutely useless to me because it does not say a single word about what S-Combo is and what S-Combo does. They just tell you that it will only work 20 times and then you'll have to register the shareware. So what the hay is S-Combo?It's not like I'm going to download it anyway. I generally boycott shareware that uses the "only runs x number of times" scheme. I'm not against shareware, I'm just against shareware that works in this manner. I'll pay the shareware fee if the software is worth it, but not if I only get 20 tries to make sure I like it.

Hey folks !!!! Help !! I had it running fine but as many have done I'm sure I started experimenting with older add on aircraft. Having grown tired of seeing the this and that wont work messages I figure I will just uninstall and reinstall as I have done with every version I have had in the past which is all of them.First it won't respond to Uninstall....kinda just sits there.So I figure I will reboot and try again....to no avail. so I uninstall manually and well as anything pointing to it in the Regeistry.Try the same thing over and it still won't run. I have eliminated the stutters and it makes COF a keeper. These results are close or equal to my FS2002 results. In FS2004 I had stuters when hand flying the 172 - mostly on turns and approach. The stutters were likely my own fault...By mistake I copied my FS2002 values in COF, looks likeI had the 2 numbers reversed... I am planning on building a brand new PC. Right now I'm looking into going for a Pentium 4 2.4GHz since they are affordable now.I'm looking for the best video card with a maximum price of $200. On the POSKY 747-400's, 767's and FFX 737's there is supposed to be the landing lights splash on the inner engines. In FS2002 I have this feature on the planes, but in FS2004 there is no light splash. Is this a plane problem? A FS2004 problem? Or is it casue I have a old graphic card? (I did move all the effects files into the FS2004 effects folder)Also on the FFX 737's I have no working beacon lights or working nav lights in FS2004.

Hi everyone,Please help - this sim is doing my head in!1/ First of all after selecting my aircraft & location etc the sim starts to load but always gives this error message - "Scenery read error. Attempting to open a non existant directory. Click ok to continue". Does anyone know how to correct that?2/ Maybe this is related to the above..? Hello Everyone, I've now been playing with fs2004 for over a day and so far so good - except for one question.With visibility set to 10 miles or less, I can descend just about into a haze layer from above and all of a sudden I'm enveloped in haze without warning - except for seeing this milky cloud layer at the boundary from above. The blue sky is gone, the sun is gone. Now my experience of descending into haze in real life is that the blue sky progressively becomes more and more hazy the deeper into the layer I go. Just upgraded my video card two weeks ago, and was eager to try it out with FS9. Here's what works and what doesn't...System: AMD Athlon 2200+; 512MB, NForce1 Mobo with latest (May2003) NForce drivers; Win98SE; DX9.0a; NVIDIA Display drivers 44.03 WHQL (I couldn't find any newer ones for Win98 on the NVIDIA website).1) NVIDIA display properties AA set on 'Application' AF 'off', AA enabled in the FS9 options menu, I get beautiful scenery and 3D cockpit but no 2D panels at all.2) Same thing with AA off in FS9, but AA and AF turned on in Display properties.3) Added 'PanelAsTexture=0' to the FS9.cfg file (thanks AVSIM!!) Folks:This just started yesterday, after having flown a flight with the SSW A310. I can exit FS2K2 ok (I exit to desktop), but when I go to shut down the computer I get a dialog box saying that fs2002.exe is still running. I've restarted FS2k2 and exited, and had the same thing happen even if I only used a standard MS 2k2 airplane. I've taken to going to task manager after quitting fs2k2 and ending the process via task manager.
