A while back I thought there was a new aircraft group coming out I thought it was Fsboeing or something like that. There are working on Boeing aircrafts but were in need of designers. Does somebody know of there web address or if it exists at all? I am just curious but I thought I saw something like that in the forums, but I could be wrong. Can anyone give me some info?

Hi all,Can anyone tell me if there is a place on the web where I can find real world flightplans of the Dutch airliners? I'd like to fly some real KLM/Transavia/Martinair/etc routes. I looked in the Flight Plan forum, but did not find what I was looking for. I don't mind if the plans are from last year or so. But ofcourse actual ones would be great.BTW: I do have a flightplanner that will generate a route for me. But I don't know if these generated routes reflect reality. Thanks!

Hello, I noticed a difference in the operation of the chat box/window in 2004 over 2002. In 2002 if you pressed enter, the chat box would appear. If you pressed enter again, the chat box would disappear (which was nice). Now, it seems there is another key required to be pressed to close the window. Does anyone know of a tool or setting that would make the chat box in 2004 behave like it did in 2002? Robert Williamson

Do you think this is possible. They are invisible as of now. I guess, that I could pretend that I'm "Wonder woman". This would be negated by the fact that I'm a man though and I don't want to do this. Thanks,Todd

If Avsim has a policy that the no cd crack is illegal and should not be published or hosted then perhaps the moderator of this forum might care to contact me at my personal e-mail address as a link to this is still available on the Avsim servers. I will let you know exactly where this is as I've just checked it out again. And a message to the wise guys out there. Please do not post messages such as "you mean www.google.com?". I don't mean that. I am very serious about a direct link still available right here.David

After Playing with FS9 for two weeks,I feel I would like to air my feelings about it.There has been a lot of "anti" comments both here and in other places but also a fair amount of praise.I've spent most evenings the past 14 days tweaking and poking away at it and I find that it runs just fine- there have been a couple of program crashes, both of which were down to me ,not the PC or the software. However I do have some critisisms(and some praise)Aircraft:Not a very exciting batch IMHO,I've tried them out but I've mostly been flying with FS2002 Addon aircraft- (with no problems except that one or two seemed to have a bad effect on the frame rate)Scenery: An improvemen…

After three days I am really starting to appreciate the subtle and not-so-subtle improvements in this new version. However, that said, I'm still not really happy about the way FS9 installs. It is very fussy about how you have your OS set up - it seems like if you've done anything fancy to your OS then there is a chance FS9 will not like it. It seems for example, that I now have to have Internet Explorer on my simming machine even though it has been happily running program after program without it for the last three years. If anyone has got this sim working on Windows 98 Lite (micro or sleek)without IE installed, please let me know how you did it.Anyway, after another day …

My landings are getting pretty weird. I always approach like an ILS because my nose looks like im climbing, but im descending. It's like a 20 degree to stay even. What can I do to where I can get my aircraft even and not go down 100 feet per second? I know there's probably something I haven't figured out yet how to do in an aircraft.

  12. I was looking at this and wondering if this initial release was designed to get some cash flow going for this company so they can offer say "regional areas" at a more reasonable cost. NOt sure but figuring in the number of major cities that may be included in the future, a simmer's investment would be tremendous. Im sure it is great scenery but pricey. I am assuming there would be no autogen as it would defeat the purpose. So low level flight would really not be an option I would assumeBob G

  13. On balance, the sim is interesting and subtly different from FS2002. I am struck by its remarkable range of color intensity compared with FS2002. The clouds in 2004 are really marvellous and they make a significant visual difference; the effects like lightning are excellent and exciting. The heavy rain is super. Haven't tried snow yet. Water effects are a disaster and the light green ocean is disgusting so I've turned them off completely, preferring plain deep blue ocean anyway. Scenery generally is grand, more lifelike than anything before. It looks awful realistic to me from the ground, at 500 feet, 5000' and higher. It's a paradise sim for VFR which is what I a…

I have searched the files for threads on moving the tower view and I have not found what I need. Here in ABQ, the tower view on FS 2004 comes up aprox where the "Old" tower would have been 20 years ago. In FS2002 they programed the tower view in the correct location but in the "New" FS2004, it is now located on the south side of the field. Can this "Tower View" be programed without going into the scenery files? There was a thread talking about locating lat/long of the tower via a chart/airport map. How accurate would this match up to the scenery in FS2004 when it appears they could not copy what they had in FS2002?Terry

Putting aside some messed up systems where no game can operate properly, The overwhelming majority of users should have been able to run this beast right out of the box. We cannot blame the beta testers. If we could read all of the Beta reports I venture to guess we will read the stuff of this forum. It was ignored. No, what happened is that MS released a product not ready for prime time. I say this openly at the risk of being called a troll as I have been a month before the release of COF by the usual suspects. On June 28 I reported the missing bridge at Chesapeake Bay and the inability of setting the spot plane view from the full display. Troll Alert was the response.I h…

  16. I figured you guys would know. I keep looking but I keep not finding, and using that darn ctrl-E to fire up my jet screws up my IMMERSION.:-wedge I am going to sit here at the gate until I find it. I know my passengers are getting ticked off, but they need to realize that its just not right being able to start this sucker by simply pressing ctrl-E. So, if anybody knows where the switch is, please let me know.I'm considering upgrading to a pumped up Alienware computer to aid in my search for this switch........well, it can't hurt.Sincerely,Stuck in Phoenix

Hey guys, problem here. this morning I d/l a few files and unzipped them and installed a few, including the new FS9 files for the Seneca from FSD. I also forwarded a couple to my VA partner. I always scan any file I d/l and Norton is up to date. I had just finished testing an aircraft in FS9 and got an NT message saying it was shutting down my system, first thought, a hacker or trojan, so when I booted back up I cranked ZoneLabs up all the way, then I got an alert from it about letting an EXE called MSBlast.exe to connect to the internet, uh, NO! I did a search and found it in the WINDOWS/ system32 folder, saying it was created today. I also found it in my running proces…

I have not been able to request a "Different" runway for departure. ATC will only give me the runway most aligned into the wind even though it might be shorter.Last night, I tried to depart KCYS (Cheyenne Wyoming) runway 8 9200x150 but the controller put us on runway 12 which is only 6691 x 150. With an airport elevation of 6156 MSL and the outside temp at +26C, the only way I got airborne was to over temp the engines. My N1 was only around 74-76% due to the temp. The only thing I have found so far in FS2004 read files is that you must request the alternate runway prior to the ATC clearance being given. (Makes sense) I have been able to do this on landing clearances with n…

While I agree the program is worth getting, the 'world' _is_ a much better place in the new version - I also agree that other than a few old clunkers I will never fly there is nothing new as far as aircraft. Still for me (I am sure I am not alone) it is the perfect chance to clean up the mess I made out of 2000/2002 and I feel this is a good place to make a few comments regarding add-ons...I would like to preface this by saying I am not a angry person but praising what is already right seems like a waste when so many things could be improved, sorry to anyone I offend from here on in.Feel free to discuss and disagree with me but here are several issues and my feelings on …
