Boy these new a/c are very hard to learn how to fly like an Ace. I really want to start flying the Piper Cub but during take-off and landing it weather veins or yaws to the left and flips. I think I figured out how to prevent it during roll out by appling the brakes giving full throttle and then letting off the brakes. However during landing I gett the same deal and have yet been able to have a complete flight. How did those guys ever do it back in the day huh?NP

My home town, McCook, Nebraska (KMCK) just received word from the feds that an ILS system is going to be installed at our airport.This will really be a boost to commuter airlines servicing KMCK. Great Lakes/United fly the Beech 1900 in and out of here and weather, especially in winter is a real factor. They are equipped with ILS but not GPS.Anyhow - my question is; is there a way to add ILS to the airport in FS 2004?Thanks,Don S

Hi Readers,I am finding trouble to find the correct settings for the CH Pro Pedals USB. I seem to be loosing KIAS read out only can read the speed when I set to dispaly Ground Speed, that happens in flight (might come back later on) but I do loose it for quite some time anyidea what could be wrong, even using SHIFT+Z shows KIAS 0.0 ??? what could be wrong it is with add-on aircraft not sure about defoult A/C it's B767 from IFDG group. From my time spent as a train simmer, we got better performance out of that sim (fps wise) by changing the vertical sync from 0 to 3 in the 'render ahead' setting. Does lowering this to 0 have a positive effect here in FS2004, or does it have to be left at 3?Question #2 - I was looking at the read-me files in some freeware mesh from FS2002, and the author make reference to increasing the TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL from 19 to 20 in the .cfg file, or you wouldn't be able to see the changes he made. Here in FS2004, does doing that give a better look to all add-on mesh?Thanks in advance :)Scott

Does anyone know how to find ILS and VOR frequencies while flying a flight plan using the GPS?? I know one can go to the map, and then to the destination airport, and get the data. Also when one first prepares the flight plan, again go to the destination airport for the data. However, I would like to know if one can get this data within the GPS itself. I read one sarcastic post that said that once the ILS approach is activated in the GPS, it automatically loads the ILS frequency into the Nav radio. I do not think this is correct, since I tried it, and it did not work. I had to know the ILS etc frequencies, and load them into the radio manually. Can this be done withi…

Right now I am just simming with 1 monitor, but I would like to build a multi-monitor setup -albeit in stages. I only have a GF3 Ti200 graphics card right now, but I'll likely be purchasing a 9800 Pro in the near future. Yes both bad FPS and AI causing crashing to desk top were both caused by a NoCD crack I had installed. Now, after removing the crack,at KSEA with [bold]everything[/bold] graphically maxed (except autogen wich is at normal) and 100% AI I'm getting 15 FPS on my AMD 1800/Geforce 4. Previously I was getting 8-10 FPS and stutters. Now even the stutters are near gone.Just sharing this for anyone who is having issues with COF and has a NoCD crack

Hello all,I did a search on the forum and saw that the solution that is being offered to remedy my problem is a popular one - unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working for me.Around all lights and most scenery objects, black squares are now appearing. I have an ancient 64MB GeForce 2Ti with the 45.23 drivers from nVidia installed, and the problem began occurring only when I installed these particular drivers. Ok. I know they left out Devil's Tower in Wyoming for FS2002 and I saw two or three files that fixed this for FS2002.However, I can't find Devil's Tower in FS2004 either. Has anyone seen it? I flew north from 01WY (Keyhole Airport, WY) and, supposedly, you should hit it, but I haven't found it.Did they leave it out or do I have to have all of my sliders all the way up to see it.Thanks.

After trying to install PMDG's TNG on my system, it messed up my FS. The computer boots up normally, but when I start flightsim, it says it is in 'safe mode' because my system cannot use hardware acceleration. My card is enabled, hardware acceleration is enabled in windows, but it still says it. All my airplanes show up without textures, my scenery is nothing but big squares and lines, and my fps are about 2-3. Anyone know how I can fix this? And yes, I have COMPLETELY removed all traces of PMDG from my system.

Hiya,I am having a problem with FS2002. I am using an onboard sound card and directx 9.0 and everything works on my computer apart from my third party FS add ons. I am using S Combo and Radar Contact, both whose sound is really distorted and inaudiable. This problem only started occuring since I installed SSW's A310, but it happens all the time whether I am flying the A310 or not! I was told that the problem was with directx. I don't believe this.Can anyone tell me why my sound is distorted only on my third party add ons and how I can fix it?Cheersric

HiI bought Carenado's 210M but have struggled to Download.I have a 56K Modem and like to use FLASHGET or DAP to break my downloads. Carenado's site seems to only allow downloads in the good old fashioned way direct to desktop with no reconnect to continue file, at a speed of around 1.96kps!! it would take for ever!I have tried 4 e-mails since the 25th August asking for assistance but noone seems to care - unless they have gone!!Has anyone had good support like me?Bob

I just discovered this last night. On my system Using a Radeon 9800 pro for the first monitor and a Rage 128 pci for the second monitor on the same couputer I can drag to the second monitor in FULL SCREEN MODE with 100 percent repeatability. Heres how.Open the window you want to drag into the second monitor and place it to the edge of the display so more that fifty percent is off the screen. Then close that window however you like using the associated icon, pulldown menus or right clicking on it. Then open it again. THATS IT!! The window will appear in the other monitor. I would like to have all aircraft installed on my machine to have .75X zoom factor, rather than the default 1X. I'm using FS2004 (FS9).How do I go about changing from the default value of 1 to .75X so that all aircraft have .75X as its default value?
