Hi all, Like those of you who have the new California MegaScenery, I, too, am enjoying it so much that I literally hate to NOT see that level of detail everywhere else. I just got mine on Friday, and have flown it almost exclusively.One Question though: Just exactly how long do you have to wait for your MegaScenery to load? I usually set up with RealWeather, and go to KLAX, KSNA, or KSAN. Believe it or not, the last time for KSAN, it stayed at 50% for about 3.5 minutes before showing me on the runway. What are the rest of you experiencing on "load times" and is there anything we can do to speed it up? Stan

Hi,Have anyone heard anything about the new version of AI Traffic Mover that's going to be compatible with FS2004.Never tried it with FS2002 but from what I've read it seems to be a stunning program when it comes to arranging AI traffic! Or what are the alternatives if AITM won't make it to FS9 compatibility?All the best,Richard

They do not fix the current probelms that Radeon 9xxx users are experiencing in FS9 :(I still get that flashing in full screen but text seems legeable. Although I never had a problem w/ that on my R9700 Pro anyway.

I was wondering where I can obtain this file. My fourth cd is scrated now and I am going to have to order a new forth cd from Microsoft if I have to ever reinstall the program. I liked fs2002 for this reason of not having the cd. If I can't get the cd I guess I may go back to fs2002 and wait to fs2006. Maybe they will have a no cd. Any way of getting the scrathes out? Hi all, I had to reinstall FS9 due to a reload of the operating system.I had this awesome panel working great in the old install but now when I load the plane, the sim locks on the R727_2.GAU. Like I said, it worked fine before. Any ideas? Thanks.Pat Callaghan

Well, after having read a variety of posts over the past three or so weeks and implementing a significant number of tweaks to the FS9.cfg, etc., etc. I decided to re-install FS2004 and start from scratch. Not that I have been seeing major problems such as heavy stuttering, but just an experiment to wipe the slate clean and try to find the minimum set of essential tweaks to get things nice and smooth. Here goes:1)Change the following in FS9.cfg fileTERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.500000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=4.500000both originally set to zero. This makes a huge difference to terrain detail in the immediate vicinity of the ac. Looks much more realistic.2)Rename Default.xml file …

Hi,I don't if this is normal but each Time I start FS2004 in fullscreen and in a resolution greater than 800*600, the welcome screen doesn't fit the screen. It's just as if the menus are remaining in 800*600 with big black border around it.By the way, still in fullscren, I can't spin the aircraft in the "create a flight" menu (only in windowed mode). When the mouse pointer passes over the rotating plane, it just disapears.Is it normal because in FS2002, it was possible (and the welcome screen always fit the screen whatever resolution used)?Best regards.

I hope someone can help me...I've downloaded this, bh.hl.mj772v2gviit.zip, for the MelJet 777-200 jet.I've also downloaded the cabin textures.I've installed them, but I do not get the cockpit at all...no gauges, no nav's, nothing....I also went to the MelJet web site and donwnloaded the 777 200 LR paint kit, thinking I must missing some files. I installed into the Aircraft directory and all is there, but still NO cockpit!I know I must be doing something wrong, but for the life of me, I cannot figure it out.What am I doing wrong?Thanks in advance,Jeff

I know there's another post here, but . . .Make sure your network settings are such that you are authenticating properly (perhaps, as I don't really understand this stuff). I use a Linksys 4-port router and the other day I was in the DMZ and had Block WAN request disabled and I was in Power User mode--couldn't log on to the servers. Then I went back to Administrator mode and voila, I was able to connect to the servers. Noel

In FS2002 the turn coordinator ball is permanently glued to the bottom, regardless of plane used - no lights showing something wrong,How do I get it working properly again?? Eddie

I have a list of recommendations to improve the preformance for FS2002, and one recommendation was to compress FS2002 all files, folders in FS2002.This is recommended I think if you have anything over 1.4 Ghz. I have only a 1.2 Ghz Duron, and was wondering does this apply to FS2004 also?Has anyone compressed FS2004 and notcied it runs better? I have not tried, but with Windows XP compressing is so much better than Win 98, and you can compress the whole flight sim folder.So just wondering is there an improvment, or anyone noticed any improvments with a compressed FS2004?I now found the tips to improve FS2002, so would think these would also apply to FS2004?Tip 1 Upgrade to…

Of all the fun things...Aack! I'm actually begining to learn HTML ever since the kneeboard modification was relieased I've been adding htm checklists to pretty much every airplane I have.Now while I'm begining to creat my own pages with links and dropdown menus etc I finally began to wonder if it was Possible to include a notepad of sorts. Similer to what we had in 2002. So is there an HTML guru out there who has an idea if we can do this?

Just getting another computer in the house and I will be able to use it as my primary system for running MSFS2004. I have a video card question for folks.My older machine has a 128mb Geforce 4 Ti4400The new machine comes with an OEM 128MB DDR NVIDA GEFORCE FX 5200 I know the FX is newer, but is this particular card a weaker version of the FX series? Am I better off switching the older card into the new machine?
